Stayed at this hotel many times before. This time we upgraded to a boutique room, which was nice. Very spacious. . Comfortable bed. Nice decor. Quiet. Close to Cork City. Friendly staff.

Bathroom could have done with updating. On first inspection it was lovely, however the grouting in the shower was very stained and the seals around the shower needed redoing

A large modern hotel with lots of facilities. All the public rooms were modern and well furnished. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our bedroom was large, well decorated, immaculately clean and comfortable. The breakfast offering was very good and had lots of variety. We ate in the hotel restaurant on 2 evenings and had two very good meals. The hotel is located about 10 Kms from Cork City Centre. Tip - If you don’t want the hassle of driving to and parking in the city centre there’s a frequent bus (220)passes and stops close to the hotel.

Everything was good and we enjoyed our stay.

Our stay in general was great. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Reception very welcoming, great view and nice location.

The restaurant was chaotic. Stood for at least 5 minutes at the desk to get a table and it seemed quiet. When a young manager on duty arrived there was no greeting but we were told straight away we were looking at the wrong menus, which were the only ones on the counter. The service staff weren't communicating with each other and were oblivious to our set meal vouchers. One staff member clocked out without notifying other members so the outside area was unattended for at least half an hour. We had to go inside to get our table served. Then there was an issue on the till. Very slow service and steak was not cooked as requested. Table staff were polite and tried their best but basic training needed there as they seemed thrown into the deep end and had no knowledge of their shift or duties.

The room was a good size with a comfy bed (actually had a double and two singles in the room for some reason - but was handy to put the cases on). Breakfast was good and a buffet/help yourself style. Plenty of on site free parking and although it appeared to have a pool we did not use it. Had an evening meal here and the quality was good. There is also a pub (The White Horse) if you fancy mixing it up a bit.

The hotel is a bit out of the way if you want to visit Blarney (20 minutes away by car) or Cork (similar distance but you can get the bus). It was also quite busy when we arrived and seemed to suggest that it was used regularly by business men/contractors, especially as they had conference facilities. From the outside the hotel looked new but once inside, under the veneer it did have a bit of a tired look - worn furniture, etc. That said it was comfy, clean and served a purpose for a couple of days.

The room was spotless clean, loads of parking, room was perfectly located for husband as he was on crutches so close to lift and on a lower floor. Plenty of sockets and mirror in the right place - a lot of places get these simple things so wrong. :) The bar and reception area were lovely, nice touch with the jug of iced water & lemon with plenty of glasses in reception to help yourself from as the day was so hot! The breakfast was lovely too and the staff didn't rush us out at the end of breakfast time - much appreciated.

The toilet flush button panel was very loose in our room - definitely needs fixing, but apart from that, all was good.

Lovely area, hotel in general was really nice and great value for money. Desk staff were excellent, very polite and couldn’t help us enough. We were given a fabulous suite which was a lovely surprise. Wait staff in the bar were lovely too however there weren’t many in around the time we ate and we waited quite a while to be served.

For a suite we found the bed very uncomfortable. The area the suite was in looked newly done up however the mattress itself felt old. The toilet in our room also wasn’t particularly clean. There was no water provided in the room, we had to ask at reception.

The property looks even better in person, with a huge parking space and a 10 min drive from Cork’s airport. The room, even thought it was in the basement with no view, was spacious and gorgeous. I just loved the interior design. The cleanliness of the room could be better . We found spider nets in the corners of the room, the tissue box was almost empty and the diffuser in the room was empty. The restaurant was really beautiful and the food really good with decent prices. The stuff is friendly and ready to help . The breakfast had all the basics you need and more .Although if you book late breakfast ( meaning 30 min before the closing) you may not found everything ,as they don’t always refill the food station . Like the pancakes for example. The breakfast room is extremely beautiful with a view of the nearby fields ! Overall it was a good experience.

Lovely hotel, very clean in public areas and the room was fantastic.

The young Bar/serving staff seemed uncoordinated and unsure. This seemed to slow service considerably. They could have done with a bar manager delegating tasks so staff wouldn’t be standing around. A retired gentleman next to me in the bar exclaimed dissatisfaction with the fact that the hotel had run out of beamish on Friday night and the hotel didn’t get or have spare stock to be able to serve it on Saturday night. Two women enjoying drinks after a meal were asked to move seats to allow the musician to set up. While the two women didn’t seem to mind, it looked poor to move them like that. It all speaks to the need to have a better managed approach in the bar/restaurant area.

I’d been to the hotel before but never stayed, very clean but cosy, really nice place! I had booked a double room but my partner secretly contacted the hotel to upgrade our room as a surprise so we ended up staying in a Suite!! Our room was incredible, I cried when I walked in. The bedroom was stunning, had a tv that rose up OUT OF the bedframe?? Class. (Had to plug my laptop into the side as it wasn’t a smart tv but you’ll survive like) The bathroom was bigger than my own bedroom at home, had underfloor heating, a stunning free-standing bath, a double shower (I was bawling at this point) and a double sink… we had a living room and dining room which we definitely didn’t need but we felt like royalty!! We used the leisure centre too and had a ball in the pool (bring a swimming hat! They’re €4 to buy there but if you have one just easier!) Big shoutout the the lovely girl on reception on the day (my partner can’t remember her name), dark hair in a ponytail with glasses. She seemed really excited and happy to help my partner surprising me with the room upgrade and when she realised there was a mixup with the room and that the one we were meant to get didn’t have a bath that we had requested, she upgraded us again to the suite we got!!

Nothing, we were devastated leaving.

I’ve stayed here numerous times over the last 3 years and will return again. It’s a great location, not far from the Cork City. There are good restaurants and bars nearby (TradeHouse and Anglers). It’s also not far from Cork airport if you’re flying in. The staff are friendly. I’d booked the most basic room on this visit (as it was just a two night stay), but on arrival, we were upgraded to the Executive Room which was really lovely. Was a good size with the usual tea and coffee making facilities. Plenty of storage for belongings. The waterfall shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. The beds were comfortable and rooms have easy to function heating. The entrance is always decorated beautifully during the Christmas period. Plenty of parking out front with an overflow car park if needed. Thank you Oriel for the upgrade. It was a really lovely surprise for my husband and I.
