Lovely hotel in a great location with a wonderful bar and restaurant, breakfast and pool.

Bit disappointed that we didn't have real coffee facilities in the standard room and that the price doubled from the work rate I had for 2 nights to the final night I was paying for myself. Even with genius discount the price for room only no breakfast was expensive.

I booked 3 rooms together for a family holiday. We were unhappy with our room as the air conditioning wasn't functioning properly, it was blowing out hot air which made the room unbearable. We made a number of complaints & a number of attempts were made to rectify it without success. However a staff member called John was extremely helpful, he provided us with fans for the room & bottles of water & said he would speak to management with a view to changing our room. The following day we were moved to another room with a lovely view which was nice, however this distanced us from our family group which was a shame & the experience put a damper on our 1st nights stay!

A very nice hotel in a "good compromise" location between Cork central and the surrounding parks and countryside. Good, easy parking and large, comfortable public areas. Open fires and cozy seating. Super reception staff. Helpful, welcoming and accommodating. Rooms are spacious and the river Lee weaves around it. It's less self- important than the more expensive competitor just up the hill and to the west of it.

Some of the furniture needs replacing and the bathrooms have gone beyond the point at which thorough cleaning is sufficient for presentation. We stayed a few years ago and the same patches of stained and worn carpet in the corridors persist. It's not cheap. So why can't they put a fresh box of tissues in the bathroom rather than stuffing a couple of screwed up pieces in the empty box a la travel lodge/premier inn etc? We didn't eat there this time around due to the lack of lighter options on the menu. No dinner salad at all.

The room was excellent; everything was clean and in good condition. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I went to visit my niece nearby at University College Cork. The location is excellent it's within walking distance of UCC and the Cork City shopping and entertainment district. The breakfast was one of the highlights, a really excellent selection of anything you might like for breakfast. This was the best breakfast we had on our trip to Ireland: fresh fruit, baked goods, Irish cheeses and soda bread, yogurt, muesli, and juices. If you wanted hot food, you could upgrade to the full version. The pool was excellent, and the workout facilities were good too. The hotel is excellent, and I would definitely visit again.

There was only one slight issue with the pool: they run kids' swim lessons there, and this impacted our enjoyment of the pool. Maybe find out the timing and avoid those hours if you want a peaceful swimming experience.

Modern looking, and can see beautiful sceneries while waiting for the lift. I like the glass lift. Location is pretty good, not too far from Cork city. Also, it’s surrounding has bakeries, restaurants, pharmacy and convenience shops just within a few minutes of walking.

The only thing that I dislike is that the corridor is very dimly lighted, I can’t see the person from the peep hole when I look out from it especially at night, a safety issue. I see lights on the corridor ceiling, but they are not turned on at night, only the dimly lighted wall lights are turned on.

I had intended to write to the hotel after my last stay here but this reminder to leave a review just popped up so…..The staff at this hotel are fab! From reception to the housekeeping, they were so helpful and friendly. The lady who was running the bar/restaurant is a credit to this hotel. She was the best hostess I had ever had the pleasure of dining with. She asked AND remembered the guests’ names. She was attentive and noticed when drinks were running low, gave advice on food choices and asked our opinion on the dishes. What a joy to be served by someone so professional and friendly. In stark contrast we stayed the following night in The Imperial hotel and the service there was dismal in comparison. We are returning to the River Lee hotel this weekend and we are all looking forward to the fantastic food, cocktails and amazing service.

Good facilities and staff were friendly. Very clean the cleaning staff were excellent.

Breakfast was over priced and over cooked. We had some excellent food in Cork the standard was very high but the breakfast, which we were all looking forward to was poor. Cooked breakfast had clearly been left under a hot lamp for a while, egg was solid and another had shell in it, black and white pudding was dry and way over done. Waiting staff were un attentive even though there was a lot working there, we didn’t eat there again and wouldn’t if I returned.

Gorgeous hotel , lobby , restaurant and bar were all really nice. Food in the terrace was great and the staff were friendly. Reception staff were very friendly.

We got moved to the executive floor but our room was an accessible room, it was abit tired and the bathroom wasn’t very nice , just seemed very old and outdated. I Was expecting more as it didn’t match the rest of the hotel aesthetic. Price was high for a one night stay and we thought we had breakfast included but ended up having to pay 26each for breakfast which seemed very expensive and then 12 for parking.

Great location and onsite parking. Good access to local area on foot and by car. Hotel was very well set out amd looks great. Reception staff were well presented and very helpful. Room was great, view was good over the tennis courts. Bed was very comfortable, shower was strong and as hot as I liked. Had drinks in the main bar, place was very well decorated, went very well with the hotel, drinks were good, my partner enjoyed the house cocktails. The staff were attentive, informative and very helpful. Great stay. Had two great nights.
