Property was excellent, incredible hotel, great location, great service!!

We were in restaurant for Christmas Eve dinner.. We ordered steak and lamb, both were overcooked to the point of being almost inedible.. Then during the later part of our meal a waiter was cleaning the table next to us with a spray cleaner.. gave a great cleaning fluid taste to our meal .. was shocked a hotel of the calibre would have a restaurant like this..

The location . The decor . The staff. Food. The shower.

No chairs in the foyer as we had to queue to book in . No Sauvignon Blanc wine available. Room got cool at night . Got hit with an extra €50 euro charge as the guy didn't add my bill correctly for 3 nights on check in. They should have alerted us ASAP ...or else waived it . We spent serious money in this hotel on food and beverages. Not very professional. Biscuits would have been fabulous as would a small fridge .

I liked the old world feel of the rooms and the bed was supercomfortable.

The meal in the restaurant was super bad

Beautiful hotel and wonderful lobby, with very friendly staff @ reception and great location, very comfortable beds , actually the best I have slept in ♥️

The only downside to this hotel 🏨 😬🤑was the public toilets 🚻 the bathroom was not clean enough, it was actually very dirty disgusting 🤢 on a bank holiday Saturday & Sunday night not good enough, I don’t live in a dirty house and don’t expect to pay 💰 good money for a hotel room with that standard toilets 🚽 I did complain @ reception Sunday night and was told that housekeeping was not on duty 😧

There is nowhere like The Imperial. The sheer quality and level of professionalism shown by the staff is unrivalled. If you stay regularly the staff will know your name and go that extra mile to make your stay extra special. On this occasion I stayed for mt birthday and was upgraded to a beautiful suite with a heartfelt card and some complimentary macarons. This will be the crowning glory in and trip to Cork. Central and luxurious.

This hotel is full of history and is very elegant. The staff were professional and courteous. As a guest it is worthwhile exploring the ground floor to see the Michael Collins exhibits and enjoy the Frederick Douglass lounge. My (standard double) room was compact but well laid out with two small areas for seating. The hotel is perfectly located for walking around the central area of Cork.

There was a bit of a funny smell the first night (like fresh cut chives??) but I cracked the window open for the rest of my stay, which let in the occasional fly, but otherwise was fine. PARKING: The website says there is a drop-off area out the front, but in peak periods this is already double parked with tour buses, taxis etc. There is other 15min spots nearby, so you can stop and checkin with your bags. The desk will give you a code for the recommended parking station, so you need to get that first.

The staff were mostly very helpful and friendly. The bar area was super. Lafayette’s very good.

Slight communication problems which were sorted but were unecessary and a little embarrassing .

Breakfast was very good and the Hotel was well situated for looking around Cork

Unfortunately they were renovating the outside of the building but we understood the work needs to be done

Suite was large, great whirlpool bath, quiet location. Bed comfort was just okay.

A group of us stayed and had drinks/app platters in their bar area. Drink selections were very limited (no cocktails, only Coca Cola and Sprite Zero as mixers) and 2 platters were brought out with no sauces, napkins or plates (we had to ask). Supposed to include mulled wine and that wasn't brought out either? Tried to charge us €400 for the food, very disappointing. Spa was also lackluster, only steam and small pool. Was included with our suite but definitely would not purchase to use if just staying.

man who worked the night shift was superb. very friendly and helpful

very disappointing. tiny room. 0 1. the towel in the room was stained and had a rip going through it. 2. shower was dirty. 3. room service barged in when we were sleeping and woke us up. Didn't apologise or say anything, just walked out. We had the do not disturb sign on the door.... 4. QR code in the room takes you to a website which says checkout is at 12. When it got to 5 past 12 we got a rude phone call which says check out was at 11 and why did we miss check out. 5. When we mentioned these issues at check out the staff didn't seem too bothered to fix it. 6. NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL EXPERIENCE
