The guesthouse is opposite Fitzgerald's Park (a 2-minute walk away), and I had a direct view of the park from my window. The house itself is a bit dated, but the amenities were satisfactory, with plenty of towels, a hairdryer, a TV, a comfortable double bed, a kettle, and I also liked the modern shower. The ceilings are very high, so despite the sometimes creaking floor, my room was quiet both at night and during the day. The room was generally really clean. Surprisingly, there's even daily room service, which I wasn't expecting. It seemed to me as if the room was always being aired out and the bathroom was being wiped down. I also received new towels every day, and the tray with biscuits, tea and instant coffee was refilled. The host of the house is very welcoming (!) and has a great sense of humor. He personally serves the freshly cooked Irish breakfast in the morning. Additionally, there was Irish soda bread, yogurts, cheese, two different types of muesli, and Weetabix, as well as a few sweet ready-made cakes and fresh fruit. Overall, there was enough for vegetarians; however, the buffet might not offer much for vegans. Anyone expecting a sparkling, modern, high-tech place might be disappointed. But for me, it felt like "staying over at grandma and grandpa's," and I felt really comfortable and safe as a solo female traveler. I would happily return. Thank you very much for the warm hospitality!

In my room, the furniture paneling/covering (hard to describe) on one side of the large wardrobe and on two drawers of the nightstand had almost come off and made strange noises when opened. Thus, I was a bit worried about breaking it. Overall, the room seemed a bit dated; however, I want to emphasize that it was super clean and the bathroom had a nice, new shower. Overall, it still felt really comfy. :-)

The breakfast room was so charming, and EXACTLY what I had hoped for as I wanted an authentic, Irish experience. Having traveled to Ireland before, this property matched precisely what I wanted - a cozy, charming and authentic Bed and Breakfast experience. Our host was WONDERFUL. He had a great sense of humor, and served us a wonderful Irish breakfast of eggs, sausages, bacon and tomatoes. There were also sweets, fruit and cereal to choose from. Our room with the large bay window was perfect. A great deal for an authentic experience.

Nothing. It was exactly what I had hoped for

Easy to get to on the bus from Cork. Opposite the university check out the grounds they are beautiful . Short walk through Fitzgerald park to cork county jail . Micheal was a great host with a great Irish sense of humour . Room 5 was basic no frills but clean , bed comfortable and nice sheets. Breakfast was great we had full Irish . Cereals fresh fruit yoghurts and pastries on offer too. We enjoyed our stay and the banter with Michael . Would recommend but if you are looking for luxury accommodation this wouldn’t be for you.

Very close to CUH and UCC and within possible walking distance of restaurants and shop. It is also on a main bus route (208 from CUH). Owners are very friendly and accommodating. The room was cosy and warm and I was given a bottle of water when I arrived. I left before breakfast but it did smell really nice. Ensuite is a nice size. Shower is spacious and the water was nice and hot. They were fully booked but I didn't hear any noise from other guests. It was very quiet.

It could do with a little freshen up and new, unused tablets of soap in the ensuite, but these are just really small things. Not all of the TV channels work.

The room was clean and comfortable although some areas needed some care and attention - a chipped top on the bedside table, and an exposed wall in the bathroom. I slept through breakfast, but the owner kindly made me poached eggs on toast. I walked into town with no issues on my last day and there is a bus stop that runs from just outside into the city centre.

When I arrived to check in it was raining heavily and I rang the bell and knocked several times with no answer. I then rang the phone number on my booking twice before someone answered and let me in.

Availability of the things I needed. When I needed a Taxi, one was obtained for me at a good price. The Driver was courteous. I needed to leave at about 2.00a.m, for the Airport, even that was done conveniently. The cleanliness was very impressive. The flowers and scenery around the facility were beautiful. I planned to stay two nights but had to leave before 12midnight of the first/second day. They magnanimously allowed me to pay a discounted amount for the additional time spent

I cannot think of any. I however wish I had received a Receipt for the money paid because I needed the accommodation because of the cancellation of by flight unceremoniously by the Airline. The extra expenses resulting from this MUST be refunded by the Airline, KLM. I sincerely hope when I request for the Receipt, these great Managers of Redcliffe Guesthouse, Cork will magnanimously give me, making my stay in their Guesthouse memorable

A nice welcome and I was able to store my bicycle safely and under cover. Room was more basic than some guest houses, but it was clean, had good storage areas in the room, a good shower, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I really enjoyed my breakfast. All the staff were attentive, helpful and friendly throughout my two night stay. I felt welcome and relaxed there and would stay there again if visiting Cork.

I had no issues whatsoever.

Super Guesthouse, stayed a few times before and look forward to again, great family hosts. For the personality, the charm of the house, and area the price is unreal value. Loved the style and with that, while a bit aged its super clean, amazingly comfortable, quiet and felt really safe, parking out front, breakfast smelt amazing, the wifi was very fast and rally loved it, woke up rested and happy. Could not ask for more. It's a true gem. Thank you. Anne Marie

It was amazing. The gentlemen was very nice , had conversation with me and even went out of his way to make sure I had breakfast before I left ( since I was leaving the property before breakfast time / breakfast was being served ) The bed was extremely comfortable and I had one of the best sleeps I’ve had in a very long time. I couldn’t recommend this place more and I’ll definitely be back when I’ve more time.

Everything was brilliant, nothing I wouldn’t recommend on improving
