The breakfast was fantastic. Lots offered.. Service fabulous. The room was comfortable. the balcony was indeed a bonus. The staff recommended a restaurant we went to and it was fabulous. . Really appreciated the referal and the fact it was relatively close to the hotel. The view from the hotel was fantastic and it's close to many great amenities.

We chose this hotel because it advertised it had a gym. Unfortunately we were told upon check in, it was in another location and we would have to leave the hotel to gain access. In addition, chose the hotel for the pool but it was closed due to some kind of upgrade. Did not receive any notice the pool was closed.

It is a lovely hotel situated right in the heart of Cork city. The room was perfect with air conditioning. However, we could see the homeless sleeping on the street behind our room. Breakfast was great but finishes at 10 am during the week which is a little early if on holidays. Car park underneath. The evening food was good as well.

The online check in process does not inform you of breakfast times so you still have to go to the check in desk to get this information. We were reprimanded for arriving to breakfast a couple of minutes before 10 am! This was the morning following a concert so we had payed big money for the room. If hotels are increasing prices on concert nights, they should allow a little leeway, maybe offer a later breakfast option.

Staff were great, we arrived early and were able to get in our room much sooner than expected. Room was nice and spacious.

Only complaint would be that there was lots of dust on the counter next to where we ate breakfast, also the clothes I put on the shelves in our room got dust on them.

I have stayed in the Clayton before in cork city I like that it's central to everything including transport trains taxis will take you anywhere you need it's a love city very well kept very vibrant colourful in street alley ways the people are very friendly the hotel was lovely very pleasant very comfortable all the amenities I could use at any time of the day it was very relaxing I enjoyed my few days at cork city

I would liked the breakfast to be accommodated with the price if the stay, I thought it was a little pricey for just the room itself for the duration I stayed for not realising food was separate to the stay.

The room was spacious, and had everything we needed inside. The location was good too, close to the centre, and it's not too far from the amazing Marina Market which has loads of food options. The breakfast at the hotel was really nice too!

If you're walking in the door to the hotel out hotel room was on the right side of the building. And the noise there was so so loud. There's loads of homeless people that sleep next to the hotel and they were shouting all night, like from midnight till about 3am maybe longer. Even with the window shut. Also the Aircon is like really not nice, we had it on because we couldn't have the window open and it made us feel really ill. Like sweaty and coughing. They also only gave us one spare pillow?? So we had three in total which doesn't make sense to me, as a couple. We didn't use the pool but we went down there and they said we had to buy a swimming had because they're mandatory, didn't know this?? Put us off a bit tbh, but maybe it's usual in Ireland. There was also always kids in there.

The hotel is well located near all amenities. The leisure centre was great, well kept and something for everyone regardless of fitness level. Breakfast food was nice. Reception staff were very welcoming and friendly.

I reserved breakfast both mornings but was disappointed that this appeared to make no difference at all, when i advised i had a reservation it wasnt acknowledged and we were left waiting. I neednt have bothered reserving it. On our first morning's breakfast we were seated by one member of staff, no offer of tea/coffee and when we returned from the buffet our table had been given to another party. When I queried it with the duty manager I was made to feel like it was my fault that they had given away my table! We were reseated almost immediately so all ended well.

Good location,food in the bar was good,breakfast well worth it.

We remembered to pay extra and book a room that had a real window and didn't overlook the reception area.

Could not do early check in.

The hotel interior was breath-taking, I loved the lobby where you could see up to all of the floors. The pool was fabulous my 4 year old son really enjoyed it. The breakfast was gorgeous and fresh breakfast kept coming out so all options were constantly being topped up. Location was absolutely perfect and central. Room was spacious, beds were comfy, shower was refreshing.

The only downfall I had was the menu in the bar for food. The children's menu I feel is limited and overpriced at €9.50. So I asked if I could order a half portion of an item on the adult menu for my child and I couldn't, this resulted in us going elsewhere for food.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the center of Cork City. Car parking is directly under the hotel , so park your car and walk 7 mins to Patrick Street, Corks main street. The hotel was comfortable and we had dinner in the bar, the food was good. Would certainly recommend this hotel for a city center break.

I thought the background music in the bar was a little loud on Friday night, but my personal preference is for background music not to be intrusive. It did mean that people were inclined to talk more loudly than was necessary
