Beautiful location and friendly welcome. Large bedroom and comfy beds. Hearty breakfast with plenty to choose from. Good games room with snooker table and darts board (plus wall mounted TV). Drinks available in honesty recording basis.
The shower cubicle was disappointing and needs replacing as neither the jets worked or the spray head stayed in the holder. A couple of times it fell off the wall narrowly missing my foot. Also we could not open the sash window by more than 10cm due to a security block. This made our room a bit stuffy. But none of the above spoiled our stay or would prevent us from wanting to return as the many positive points far outweighed these minor issues.

House magnificent - like in movie Gone with the Wind. Host was very patient. We arrived several hours before reservation, came by a taxi, had tire/cracked rim car rental issues so had no transportation. Had to rent a taxi to take us to Macroom for dinner, 60 euros each way. Missed a sit down breakfast before we left at 8 am but had a quick bowl of cereal. Towels nice and soft.
Wasn't expecting to walk down the hallway to the bathroom. It was a big bathroom, the shower lots of gadgets so had to ask how to work it. Left the light on over the sink so didn't have to turn the overhead light on.

Cannaway B&B is a beautiful, plantation-style home set on a large and well-kept property — a peaceful and picturesque place to relax. The room we stayed in was comfortable, nicely furnished and offered a lovely view of the surrounding area. Our hostess was very kind and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast the next morning was cooked to order — it was delicious and a perfect start to the day. The only suggestion I would offer is to improve the signage leading to the property, as it was a bit tricky to find at first. That said, once you arrive, it’s well worth it. Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a quiet and charming setting. Highly recommended!

I loved the charming interior of the property, especially the dining room but also the hallways and the room itself. It is locate off-the-grid and is embedded in nature
These points are minor but still worth mentioning: - noises: the walls are thin so you hear other tenants, the dogs outside barking a lot and loud (like at a party) music played in the morning - the bathroom isn’t very inviting, I was lucky not to get the defective whirlpool room but elected not to shower anyway as it didn’t look nice - the WiFi wasn’t great so don’t plan to do work meetings

Breakfast was really very good -- the Irish breakfast, pancakes were very nice -- please have some local yogurt next time! The location is in the middle of west cork farmland and close to dairy production
the shower in the room was a bit dated and I'd have replace it. --- I'd get rid of the carpets at the next refurbishment cycle as well -- they could go all wooden floor as nowaday are more practical to keep it clear

The property is a Georgian manor in the beautiful Irish countryside and the Irish hot breakfast is delicious. The hosts are very friendly. The deco is traditional but needs some tlc. By the way, many Irish country roads are shockingly narrow and winding (e.g. one lane roads with bulb-outs). Something to keep in mind when booking lodgings in the countryside, especially when it's dark, raining, and/or foggy. We began to get used to these roads and this place is actually quite easy to get to, especially after we just drove through the Gap of Dunloe and stayed in a few very emote places before.
The furniture is old and some is not functioning. The family room #1 with private bathroom has the bathroom across the public hallway, adding inconvenience. All other rooms have toilets en suite. This would be a perfect place if you don't need the family room (one queen bed and two twin beds). By the way, eat before evening check-in since nothing is close by.

We enjoyed the location. It is quite far away from the next villag but this was exactly what we were looking for. Nice house, lovely hosts, spacious rooms and the bar/lounge was a bonus. Lots ogf space around the house. Quiet at night.
The bed was rather on the smaller side. If you are used to large beds, this will feel very small.

everything, wonderful place, wonderful welcome, honesty bar, fabulous breakfast with eggs I haven’t tasted as good in years. The owners clearly put the effort in, it really shows. If I’d known how good it was I’d have booked more nights! easily somewhere comfortable, private and entertaining enough to spend several nights, most places I’m ready to move on after one or two days.
I arrived late and there’s not a lot of food options nearby…hardly the fault of the Cannaway though is it!

We liked every thing about this property. Peaceful rural location Very, very nice breakfast. Huge room. nice view of country side. We stayed 3 nights. Most other guests were from the continent. They seemed to be very relaxed and enjoying their stay. The adjoining 'rest area' and peacefull patio was a lovely touch. Comfy arm chairs a well stocked bar with honesty tab. Snooker, darts, games box plus plus.. Would come back . Macroom is a nice town to walk around with good eating places. Go to the Dunns store for low cost super cloths.
Nothing to dislike about the location or property. If you want to explore the wild atlantic way and coastline be prepared for an hours drive . If this is your first trip or tenth trip to Ireland. Stay here

Of all the places we stayed on our vacation we loved this place the most! The overall atmosphere of the home, the setting, the horses and dog in the yard, the fantastic breakfasts, the beautiful countryside and vistas while walking around the property, so enjoyable,.. and hostess Jackie was the best! There was a separate den like area with pool table, old interesting newspapers to read, just a real nice place to spend some time at night. We only had 3 nights here, wish we had more time. We will certainly be back again!
Everything was Great!
