Communication and check-in were seamless despite our very last minute reservation. The room was spotless and sheets & towels were fresh, beds were super comfy. We were grateful for the use of a fridge and the use of a lively sitting room in which we could have out tea and evening snack after a long day of driving and visiting the area. Breda was very sweet and resourceful. She gave us amazing recommendations for our next day’s itinerary. Breakfast was really delicious and if we’d had more time in the morning we would have taken a dip in the lake which looked veryy inviting. Overall a lovely stay and would highly recommend.

Showerhead could use a descaling and a shower curtain in the bathroom would be a useful addition.

We had a lovely stay for the last night of our trip. The cost was super friendly and welcomed us with a smile. Room was very basic but had just everything we need so very happy with that. Location was amazing right by the lake and there's a spot where you can have a nice sit down and maybe bring your coffee or tea with you. Just lovely. Extra bonus points for the host cooking us some nice vegan options for breakfast despite me not informing about our diet beforehand. All in all an excellent place to stay and when we are back in the area we are definitely staying here again!

Breda was very friendly and provided a wonderful breakfast. We had a great dinner at a nearby restaurant she recommended. The home is on a very busy road, but our room was very quiet. There is a very nice private sitting area in the back overlooking a lake.

The internet connection didn’t work in our room.

The welcome was incredibly warm and friendly. The facilities were good. We really enjoyed the breakfast hugely and the use of a private lounge area.

The bathroom/shower was dated and we didn’t like the fact that the whole room was a wet room, thus making it very slippery to go to the loo at night.

Great location . Friendly owner. Heated blanket made up for the slightly chilly room as the heating is controlled centrally . Clean and comfy bedding . Family room with 3 beds so compact but more than enough space for a short stay for us. The breakfast and home made scones were exceptional. The best I’ve had in a long time . Great value for money

Breakfast was super, our hosts Breda & partner were so friendly and helpful and such a great location not too far out of town. They even suggested a lovely place to eat in town, second to none friendly service and again excellent food, I had the chicken supreme a meal I will remember for quite a while it was sooo good.

We had a wet room for our bathroom the only thing I can say is negative on on our stay at this B&B. Maybe a personal thing but we are definitely not a fans.

I especially liked and appreciated the friendliness and hospitality of owner and family. An unexpected pleasure was the rear of the property, a lavish garden with lush Lee views in serene and natural surroundings.

A wee observation.. Door saddle at room entrance may need attention to facilitate a safer entry

It is a ibit solated on a main road with no footpath, so it is not possible to walk to a shop or pub.

Location, scenery, hospitality, everything you want for a comfortable stay. Warm welcome at the door from the hostess Breda. Great spread in the dining room for breakfast, catering to everyone. Excellent.

The term hidden gem gets overused a lot these days, but the fountain house is a proper hidden gem. The back garden, home made pastries every morning. Next time I won't forget my swimming togs.
