Room was facing the River Lee which was nice though we were only on the first floor. We tried dinner at the hotel one night. It was just ok. Not great preparation or value for money. It is better to go out to the city centre. Breakfast was a large buffet spread and very sumptuous. Ample basement parking for free.

Location though on the river bank and adjoining parks, is a bit distant from the city centre, and it's not convenient to walk back from the centre after dinner etc.

Looking out over the river wier from the restaurant. Staff are super and attentive. Nice history as built on the old baths with some original tiling visible downstairs in the bar. Double sink in bathroom was a nice addition to a room with both shower and bath. Had breakfast lunch and dinner , and loved the food. Breakfast range was excellent.

The Kingsley is a comfortable hotel with friendly and efficient staff. My room was spacious and very comfortable. Standards of housekeeping are very good. The swimming pool is very well maintained and a very pleasant experience; there is an art-deco feel to the design of the pool, as there is in the whole hotel, but it is in the pool where it really works brilliantly. The changing rooms in the pool were spacious and clean. The pool is the nicest one that I have used in Cork. The hotel has lots of free car parking and is convenient located. Breakfast is good and plentiful.

The menu in the bar was a bit limited, although the cooking and service were good. Otherwise, there is little to quibble about in what is a very comfortable and pleasant hotel.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Exceptional Stay – 5 Stars Aren’t Enough! From the moment I arrived at The Kingsley Hotel in Cork, I was blown away by the level of service and hospitality. The staff were absolutely incredible—warm, welcoming, and genuinely eager to make my stay special. I was kindly offered an early check-in at no extra cost, which was such a thoughtful touch after a long journey. On top of that, they also extended my check-out time free of charge—something you rarely experience these days. The location is fantastic—peaceful yet perfectly placed for exploring the city. And if that wasn’t enough, even after I’d checked out, I was invited to continue enjoying the hotel’s stunning pool and spa facilities. That level of generosity and service is truly rare. The Kingsley isn’t just a hotel, it’s an experience. I can’t recommend it highly enough and will absolutely be returning. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay unforgettable!

The location and setting was superb. The staff were extremely helpful. Plenty of car parking. The shower was good. Breakfast had a lot of choices from the buffet or freshly prepared for you from the menu. It was good value and well worth getting up for. We had dinner one evening, the charcuterie board had a good variety of cheeses and meats, with large portion sizes. We didn't really need a mains after. The mains was ok, nothing special, but nothing bad either. We didn't use the spa or leisure facilities, so I can't comment on them.

The bed linen was a bit 'scratchy' and warm. The duvet cover was 70% cotton, I would expect a 4 star hotel to have 100% cotton bed linen. The room overlooked the car park, so it was noisy if you opened the window. The curtain had what looked like dried blood on it.

The breakfast room was lovely, we were seated right by the window and had a great view of the river. The variety of breakfast was amazing. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was also spacious with all toiletries provided. The room has a huge window so lots of light was shining in and the window opened a little - what a treat. the staff were AMAZING.

The loo paper holder in the bathroom was not fixed firmly and the loo roll kept falling to the floor. We ordered a pizza from room service - there was a 10 Euro change for it to be delivered to the room.

Beds are excellent, pillows super comfy, great view from room . Large bath with separate shower, double sinks , loads of tea and coffees in the room ,tv had a great selection of channels, options to Chromecast and YouTube available on it . Staff were excellent. Fantastic gluten free options for breakfast, lunch and dinner and staff are really knowledgeable of gluten free.air con in room .lovely balcony area in the room . Fantastic swimming pool with sauna , Jacuzzi, steam room and outdoor plunge pool area where the pool is open until 10pm which is great . Fantastic place to stay .

I liked everything

The staff are always so welcoming and well trained to answer all the questions you may have. The Carpark is a bit tight in terms of spaces, but there is plenty of room and being able to park underground out of the weather makes up for the tight spaces.

There is nothing really to complain about, it would be great if breakfast was longer during the week for those of us who are not business visitors, although to be fair I managed to get something to eat at 10:30, 30 mins after closing time, this was very much appreciated. As noted in the positives there is plenty of customer parking, but if you have a big car you will need to take your time to park in the tight spaces. I'd rather book direct with good hotels, however, booking direct I find is generally considerably more expensive than Trivago or Booking. In terms of this trip i found it was almost 50% more expensive than a travel site which I ended up booking with.

Lovely hotel. Clean and very friendly staff. Bed was comfortable and room was spacious. Bathroom was very modern and nice. Stayed in room 225. Paid for breakfast at hotel, great selection of foods from continental to hot buffet. They had beautiful pastries and a pancake machine. They even had a menu if you wanted to order something else - French toast, eggs & avocado, pancakes etc. Location was ok. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

The only fault we had is our room was at the front of the hotel and even though the window was closed it was quite noisy from traffic outside. Was afraid our little one wouldn’t settle but thankfully she did. (Light sleeper most times).

Everything. From the interior aesthetics, to the friendly staff, to the incredible musical talent that was present on the night we stayed. The room was great, fantastic bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower on the other side. We got such a nice room with such a great price. The design of the room was lovely, I enjoyed how in between the bedroom and the bathroom was a little section with a chair and mirror, and a wardrobe on the other side. So you could come out of the bathroom and sit down and dry your hair (outlet was available by the mirror, hair dryer in the wardrobe) and/or do your makeup. Small clever things like this I liked.

That I only got to stay one night. Ideally I'd have liked to spend a few nights in a row there.
