The hotel has a great location, just steps from the Roman Amphitheatre, which is quite fabulous; steps from a garden and the sea front; and about 10 minutes walk to shops, restaurants, bars on the main tourist road. The hotel is in an old building, which has pros and cons, but it is quite charming. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The parking worked just fine - we pulled in to drop off bags and it was just a very short walk to the car park (outdoor, up the road). There was excellent air conditioning in our room. The bed was comfortable. Despite the central location, there was not a lot of traffic noise and we found the hotel quiet.

The style, decor, furnishings are perhaps typical for a 3 star hotel - absolutely fine, but not amazing. If you have mobility issues, you should know the hotel is located by some old steps and the entrance to the hotel is up a flight of steps. The breakfast was fine - it had enough of the basics set out as a buffet that you could have something for most tastes, but it was limited and perhaps quite typical of a 3 star hotel. This is quite a small hotel; there isn’t a lounge or a bar where you could sit comfortably for an hour or two - this occurred to us because it rained hard (late July visit) and there wasn’t really anywhere to go but to sit on our beds in our rooms.

Convenient location close to the bus station (which is an easy, flat walk, other than the flight of stairs between the street and the hotel entrance). Same street as the stunning Arena. 24 hour reception and ability to store luggage. The staff were very helpful with carrying suitcases up and down stairs as there is no elevator. I was kindly given access to my room straight away when I arrived early in the morning.

It’s an old building, and the fitout and amenities are not as slick or luxurious as the other places I stayed in Croatia, (yet this was both the smallest room and most expensive room I stayed in). The latches on the shutters on my window seemed to be broken, so I couldn’t open the louvres to let light in. If I left the shutters open, they banged open and closed in the wind, so I had to keep everything shut up. That being said, I think this comes with staying in an old building, and I could live with this for my 1 night stay given the convenience of the location and how helpful the staff were.

This staff was very accomodating and receptive, we had significant changes to our plans and they met us at the taxi and helped us into the hotel well after midnight. This was the only location we have stayed at that the thermostat was fully available to us. This is very great.

The only issue we could state was that the room we were in didnt have great blackout to the outside lighting. This was a minor issue though.

This is my 2nd time staying at the hotel. The hotel staff are super friendly and kind. The breakfast was great and the rooms are nice too. The location is great too. It’s very close to the colosseum and it’s also close to the main town. I’d definitely stay here again when I return to Pula and this beautiful country.

My stay at Hotel Scaletta was exceptional. The staff was really helpful and friendly, the room was very comfortable and clean. I liked the breakfast ( included in the price), that was served at the cosy restaurant of the hotel. The location is very close to the famous Arena, perfect for getting acqiainted with all landmarks. I strongly recommend the hotel for foreign visitors of the fabulous Pula.

Everithing was great.

The location was great. It is 100 meters from the amphitheater and 10min to the city centre. It is a beautiful walk in the morning. The important thing for me was a parking spot which is 100m from the hotel The street parking is usually 4 € per hour and you can be a limited time (only 3 h max I think).

The only thing that could have been better is the breakfast. You can order scrambled eggs which are great, but the other things could be a little better. Other than that, there are no flaws in my opinion.

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect for sightseeing. Parking is easy as they have a location nearby which is very important especially during the busy months. Parking on the street is very expensive in comparison. Breakfast was good and the room was good too. The staff are more than helpful which can make or break a holiday.

Bed linen might need updating and also reception area.

The hotel has a very old fashioned style feeling. Rooms are clean, comfortable bed and breakfast was also good. The staff are wonderful and accommodating. We enjoyed staying at the hotel. The location is also great. It’s very close to the Pula arena and the town centre is around 10 minutes walk. The Port is also 5 minute walk. 10/10 for service and friendly staff.

Hotel staff is amazing! It feels like being home. The ladies on the reception and in the buffet are so kind and professional. Hotel is tiny, but it is very cute. Location is also great, just 100m from Pula Arena (Colosseum).

Hotel is in the very centre, so it doesn't have parking, but you can buy daily ticket in the zoned parking spaces (next to Hotel, in 'Gladijatorska' street), which was 18eur in June 2023. The process is very convenient, through the app. Hotel itself is a bit older, as it resembles renovated aristocratic house, but that's also part of the charm.

The location is very good,close to the waterfront,city centre & bus station .The staff are very friendly .The breakfast is fine. The rooms are clean,simply furnished .They have airconditioning ,& a good shower room. This is the 3rd year I have stayed at the Scaletta,I would be happy to stay again. I feel safe & happy when I am there.
