Breakfast was great, and the front desk person, Gabriel, was such a pleasure to speak to! He was incredible friendly, personable, and willing to answer any questions and offer any tidbits and facts. (Fun fact, he loves cats!!) Gabriel also explained how to use the bidet, and also literally pin-dropped on Google Maps on my phone places to visit and go to! I also got to try wild boar pasta (Pappardelle al Ragù di Cinghiale) at his recommendation, and it was delicious. He gave us a brief rundown of the town's history (Etruscan Tombs, Tufo stone building, etc) and attended to our every need. Although we only exchanged greetings with the owner, Luciano, he was super friendly and kind, and we could see him walking to and from the restaurant (short 5 minute walk outside) and you could clearly see he takes pride in this wonderful sanctuary. Sovana is indeed a hidden gem, and the town's size is tiny, but that is what makes it so magical - It's an escape from the daily hustle and bustle of city life. Our room was a good size as well as nice and quiet. The resort also has it's own gated private parking lot for parking, which made our lives so much easier as we were struggling to figure out how the paid parking worked (Paid parking lot was adjacent)

I wish we could have stayed there longer and played with the owner's pet chihuhua!

Everything!!! ! The hotel is wonderful and incredibly comfortable. We wanted to explore this part of Tuscany and we were not wrong with the location - there are beautiful towns within a short distance, and the place where the hotel is located is beautiful. We were delighted by the accessibility of the staff, and I would especially like to praise the girls who served us breakfast, they were incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh and tasty ingredients. The warm atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff and the really nice ambience meant that we will definitely come back here.

If anything - maybe to add a socket adapter into the rooms.

The staff were very, very accommodating. They replaced our hair dryer, cafe at night, directions and reservations. The grounds were very well maintained. The maze is short but fun. Sovana is a quaint and quiet town that is the perfect size to walk with Gelato. The breakfast was exceptional, best of our stay in Italy.

The only thing that was a bit of an unwelcome surprise was the cost of laundry. We were running low on clothes and so we asked them if they would do our laundry. I didn't ask how much it was, oops! They did a great job, but I'm not sure It was 100 euros worth... I'll ask next time. We've done laundry at other stays before for between 15 and 30 euros, so I wasn't expecting that at all.

Stunning Tuscan setting, beautiful grounds within a beautiful village, friendly helpful staff. Beautiful pool, good secure parking.

Guests would benefit from better signage ie on arriving into village signposting exact location of hotel vehicle entrance and on entering hotel grounds exact location of reception.

Bed was very comfortable. Front desk helped us make a reservation at their restaurant nearby which had fantastic food for dinner. Breakfast was delicious.

Our room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, set in a stunning olive grove. The pool area was gorgeous. We could easily walk to restaurants nearby.

It could have had more furniture in the room. A coffee table in front of the sofa would have been nice.

Everything! Beautiful, comfortable hotel and gardens..Perfect location to explore the local area. Very warm welcome, staff attentive and friendly. Excellent breakfast with a good choice of cut meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon. Also a selection of homemade cakes, pastries, yogurts, friut etc. Highly recommend.

The hotel felt like a family home that had opened its doors to us. The gardens and pool were a dream and the village was stunning -great restaurants and it’s small enough not to get too overwhelmed with tourists. The hotel was the perfect family place for families, solo travel, romantic getaways - as long as you want peace and relaxation. The staff were incredibly kind and customer service was beyond exceptional. I’m in love with the place and i’m already planning my trip back…..

It was winter so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors as much and we arrived on Christmas Day so EVERYTHING was closed in town including the hotel’s restaurant. They were nice enough to cook for us but now that we know, this little town is not a place to visit during Christmas!!!

The welcome and very friendly staff - all were so kind and helpful. Everything we asked for and it was possible we recieved with a smile. The location is unique - the village the house and the surrounding are all authentic. The swimming pool is beautiful. Great relaxing atmosphere. Free and safe car parking.

The wifi at the hall is steady, but at the rooms it must be improved.
