We had an amazing stay at Kanok Buri Resort, first time to Koh Samui, and we managed to arrive just outside of the busy season, which we enjoyed. The hotel location could be a bit far from the main sights for some travelers, you would have to have some form off transport, there wasn't many local options available. We were happy just pottering around the area. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 11 nights and the lovely ladies on reception were great especially Snow, who booked us on a half day tour of the island and was there if we needed assistance during our stay. We also took a full day trip to the Samui Elephant Haven Sanctuary, we had a great day on the full day volunteer option Highly recommend. (*Important when visiting places in Thailand please do your homework and only visit registered elephant sanctuaries and please DO NOT ride or bathe the elephants). Our room was located across the road inside a quiet and private area with our own plunge pool and lovely gardens We used the hotel pool which was clean and a great size, with sunbeds and shade and the hotel had easy access to the beach with beautiful sunsets. We felt very safe, walking around after sunset. We soon fitted into the little neighbourhood and soon felt like a local, we used the local businesses near the hotel, money exchange, eateries and the lovely ladies at the massage shop on a number of occasions. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our stay a holiday to remember.

The hotel is beautifully presented, this is 'old school Thailand', everything has substantial quality, has been properly thought through and is taken care of. The staff are an absolute delight. Ever friendly, caring and thoughtful. They work as a large family, and while you stay at the hotel you are part of their family. They really look after you. Lipa Noi is a quiet beautiful, fairly undeveloped beach. If you want nightlife, and 'banging music' this is not the beach to come to. If you want endless empty sands, clear blue seas for swimming in, quiet meditative sunsets, and amazing beach walks this is definitely the right beach for you. We stayed in a pool villa, it was beautifully designed, lots of classic Thai fabribs and print motifs, the plunge pool was great for cooling off in the afternoon.

This is a nice hotel in Lipa Noi right on the beach. The rooms were spotless - we had the family jacuzzi room, which is basically a connecting room for our family of 2 adults and 2 children - it was perfect for our needs and we had plenty of space. The beds were a little on the hard side which might not be to everyone's tastes. The included breakfast was standard fare and it was fine. Staff were friendly. There is a decent sized pool which is well maintained. The gardens are gorgeous and include a very large koi pond which is lovely. It is right on the beach. Restaurant is fair but there are many lovely restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Quiet,villa,waterfront ,sunsets,motorbike hire,chilled vibe,villa was very private with pool,,great machiatto machine at breakfast v gd,,sunset beach horse riding was nearby..highly recommend colt riding..very professionally run & horses in good condition

Poor breakfast..hotel could have improved that as felt it let the hotel down..hotel is 45 mins taxi drive from airport...900 baht o/w...main pool not very private,hotel could grow hedge from restaurant to allow better privacy,booked pool villa but wasn't beachfront as thought..was over the road..tad misleading in marketing

Ok so people may question my review so to put that into perspective - the hotel is not close to bars or clubs, Lipa Noi Beach is not as famous as Lami or Chaweng and yes the hotel is more of an older resort style. It’s peaceful, the rooms are good value for money and clean, the breakfast choice was very good and the menu for the restaurant through the day was comprehensive and the food was excellent. The beach is stunning. Staff are so friendly and exceptionally helpful and make you feel very welcome. We extended our stay for another 2 nights after the 1st day.

We loved staying on this beach and having a scooter to get around Samui. We have stayed in the more popular places in Samui but this area is amazing. How Samui used to be The 2 bed apartments are across the road from the beach in a newer part, they are amazing. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and massive walk in cupboards for luggage Housekeeping do a great job each day The private pool is fantastic All the one beds with and without a pool seem to be in the original area. I would recommend spending the extra for a private pool. We really liked breakfast and the coffee Restaurant food it great and reasonably priced Would definitely stay again

Pool area is in need of a TLC but don’t let that put you off especially if you get an apartment with its own pool

I was staying at the private villa with plunge pool (with waterfall). It was wonderful, very well decorated, and besides of that VERY convenient. Good equipment, for instance the safe with programmable code, body lotion to treat sun burn, ... The personnel was very friendly, and did a lot to offer a pleasant stay, for instance early check-in, late check-out. The restaurant of Kanok Buri, where I enjoyed 4 evening meals, was of very high standards. I ate chicken sweet-sour, fried fish, beef with soy sauce and a burger, and all were delicious. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

The location is great if you are looking for peaceful vacation. our room was 15 meters from the beach. Really quiet and not crowded area. Really polite and nice staff, alot of greenery along the resort. The staff helped us with anything we have askef for. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY

The bed was not so comfortable. The stream in the bath was very weak, almost unable to take a normal shower. It was a disappointment because some of the room's main interests was the bath itself. We had also a standing shower which was dirty, tiny and old. The room's furniture is old and could use renovation.

This Resort is so beautiful! The reception area is open and very welcoming. Between reception and beach there are a lot of little bungalows and sweet ponds and lots of plants. Very pleasant. Finally the pool and restaurant area which also looked clean and beautiful. It’s located at the west coast of the island which means you have a beautiful sunset here and the beach is not too busy (unlike the east coast beaches which were filled with tourists). The staff was very nice, always! You can rent scooters at the Resort. We had a little talk with what i believe was the owner of the resort (a nice lady). She was very concerned about us renting scooters because a lot of tourist get injured in accidents. She said of course she would like to get our money to keep the business going but she would much rather see us go home in one piece and healthy... Which tells me a lot about the mentality of the people who run the Resort. Very nice people and always helpful.
