Spacious clean rooms and super convenient location.

Even though our room had its own bathroom, the community bathroom was behind a door that was connected to our room. It was locked and blocked by dresser so no issues there but you can absolutely hear everything. We were woken up at around 6 in the morning because someone decided to take a phone call and have it on speaker. My mom and I woke up to it so confused. But even with that you can hear anyone in that bathroom no matter the volume. The hotel is very nice, the staff is nice, and the location is great. Just wish it had better sound proofing, but I guess it can’t be helped with it being an old structure

My room (The Bostonian) was large with good mattress, comfortable seating, and lamps right where you needed them. The woodwork and fireplace tiles are old and beautiful. Furniture is functional but not of the age of the building, but this isn't a restoration. Staff were helpful - for example there was no problem keeping our knapsacks safe after sign-out so we could do a few Boston activities unencumbered. Public transportation is a few steps from the front door. I've always admired the rows of late 19th century brownstones - it was fun to base our Boston trip in one of them. Not for someone that's looking for sleek modern accommodations, but a great experience if you want to experience old Boston. Economical too especially since you can fix a basic breakfast before setting out. I'll definitely recommend it to friends.

I'm in my 80's with slightly impaired mobility. A handrail for the second set of steps into the hotel would be helpful. First floor rooms were fine - there are stairs to upper floors which would have been more difficult.

We paid for parking, that was $33. The space was sandwiched between two other cars of guests, and the reception person moved the car for me so that we could make an early morning getaway which I appreciated. The room was large and beautiful. The other guests were interesting people, and it was easy to share with them. We found a take-out Thai restaurant near by. The only downside is that we couldn't do breakfast because we left early. Brookline is a nice section of Boston, very calm. It's a little distant from the center.

The breakfast options didn't look too exciting and there was no place to sit in doors.

Comfortable room the perfect size for one person, minimal noise from street because the A/C was on. Desk clerk was busy with something else but apologetic about it. A convenient walk to the Longwood Medical Area -- less then 30 minutes.

As a woman traveling alone, I might have preferred an en suite bathroom but it really wasn't a problem. Grab and go breakfast had not been set up yet when I left at 7. Boston is expensive! Per other reviews -- things I didn't have a problem with: the overnight parking situation is difficult as you must turn your car and keys over to hotel staff. The parking spaces outside cannot be used overnight. I would suggest using a parking garage instead, but there aren't any nearby. No elevators. The hotel is in an older building.

Good location. T Green Line C is across the street. Many places to eat within walking distance. The room is clean, bed comfortable, pillows not great, tv is big with options to watch Freevee, option to log in to your Netflix and Prime Video subscription, bathroom is clean with good water pressure. Strong wi-fi connection.

No elevator but stairs manageable. My room was on the 2nd floor.

Historic feel. Location was very convenient to walk to Fenway park for an event (Red Sox game).

Parking was a bit of a challenge. While we didn’t need any assistance, the hours that the facility is staff is limited. (8 am-9pm) Breakfast didn’t start until 8 and we needed to depart earlier than 8, however we were able to grab a packaged snack for the road.

The room was gorgeous and wayyyy bigger than I expected. I chose this hotel because it was cheap so, my exceptions were pretty low. Huge bay window and beautiful old world feel. Authentic vintage encyclopedia set on the bookshelf. What a appeared to be a vintage globe and a unique fire place(not for guest, obviously.)

Could use another step down from the bathroom. My husband has a very startling stumble out of the bathroom in the middle of the night due to the size of the step and poor visibility. Also, some cream of whole milk for the coffee would have been nice. Just something other than 1%. I’m just knit picking though.

Great place to stay, night staff was very helpful. Nice little room, good price. Beautiful place inside and out. Love all the details wood work.

Having to move my truck 2 times. I paid for a parking spot, and ended up on the street parking.

Great location, friendly staff, spacious rooms. Unfortunately our car got towed, and the staff went above and beyond to help us. They not only gave us a ride to the tow lot, but also paid for the retrieval fee due to the unclear parking instructions given. Very very thankful.

Minimal parking w/unclear parking signs. No drinking cups in the room.

The staff was great, responsive, accommodating, friendly and offered fun travel advise. The place was beautiful, clean, interesting, comfortable, centrally located and super charming!

A little noisy with the train but white noise did the trick. The doorstop in the Kenmore room is a toe buster 🤦🏼‍♀️
