Great location. Close enough to easily walk into the medina but just enough away to escape the madness. Beautiful building lovingly restored and run Staff were super friendly and helpful. Any problem was taken care of they just wanted us to relax and enjoy Fes. They sorted airport taxis and local guides all were excellent

Everything was great really shower worked well bed was comfortable. Weather was horrible when we were there and so we tested the heating which worked well but unfortunately never troubled the air conditioning!

I stayed at Riad Alya with my 13-year-old daughter and we had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and made booking our tours very easy. We always felt safe and well looked after. The riad is beautiful, very clean, and our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts were fresh, plentiful, and a great way to start the day. The location was excellent and easy to access. I would highly recommend Riad Alya and would definitely stay again.

A very beautiful Riad located on the edge of the Medina. Extremely friendly hosts – Mohammed, who speaks German, English, and French, provided us with interesting information about the city and made our stay very pleasant. Our motorcycles were guarded overnight 80 meters away (by a very kind watchman), and the delicious dinner at the Riad was a true culinary immersion into the country. Many thanks also to Chaymae, who sent us the location of an alternative underground parking garage in advance via WhatsApp.

This building is beyond beautiful! Stunning! The rooftop is high with outstanding views of the Atlas Mountains and all of Fez. The staff are so welcoming and eager to make your stay exceptional. The breakfast had eggs, pastries, jams and jellies, fresh orange juice, mint tea, and coffee. It was served in the gorgeous courtyard. We stayed in the Fes room on the first floor. Small things: the bed was a bit hard and our bathroom lacked good ventilation creating a mildew smell.

The greeting at the arrival was spot on. The Riad itself has a beautiful courtyard that is decorated elaborately. It is located at a walking distance from the Blue gate and the El Glaoui palace . The rooms had comfortable beds and breakfast was a mixture of Moroccan flatbreads and eggs. Dinner on the roof top was very delicious.

Getting luggage to the Riad from the square where the vehicle can be parked costs the visitor 20 MD. However the Riad is only about 200-300 m from the square where you park the car. In the Tangier room, the bathroom is on the upper floor accessed through the room itself. Of course the common WC on the groundfloor was made accessible to guests so at nights,instead of climbing stairs you could go out of the room to relieve yourself rather than climb the stairs...

The breakfast was delicious. One day they even gave us packed breakfast because we were heading out early for the sahara. The staff were friendly and helpful. The terrace was lovely and peaceful.

Wifi was poor. We were told we would get upgraded to another room after we come back from the Sahara as we were a family of 3 and the room we stayed in was tight. But that didn't happen as they later said they are full.

Perfect place to stay in Fez. Quiet street, 8min to medina, 5min to garage to park the car, post and ATM. After terrible trafic in Fez, the calmnes and design of riad was soothing our nerves. Decorations of the riad are just amazing. This is really a small palace Tasty breakfast and dinner. Marakesh Suite was very comfortable, nice furniture and had a real heating! The only place in our 3-week trip in Morocco.

A bit of smell in the bathroom

We booked a twin room at this beautiful Riad for two nights and ended up extending our stay for an extra night. The service and communication from the beginning was exceptional. We drove to Fes and needed to find parking, and we were met Oumayma who made the process a breeze. She then walked with us to the Riad, checked us in and showed us all of the facilities. It’s a stunning Riad in a great location. A little slice of quiet in the chaos of Fes, and right on the outskirts of the Medina, so everything was walking distance. We opted to have dinner there on the first evening up on the terrace, and did not regret it. It was a 3-4 course meal with some of the best tagines we’ve had in Morocco to date. Again, service was exceptional. Breakfast was wonderful each morning as well. This was a real highlight of our time in Morocco!

Our stay at this Riad Alya was absolutely delightful! The staff were not only great but incredibly kind, going above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. The cleanliness of the riad was impeccable, and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The food served was delicious, offering a taste of authentic Moroccan cuisine. I highly recommend this riad to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming stay in Fez.

The water didnt stay warm for long, so couldn't take a bath with warm water.

We loved our stay at Riad Alya. Welcoming Staff. Communication was perfect. They accommodated our vegetarian requests. We were arriving late - and they arranged late dinner service for us. We departed VERY early for the airport in Fes and they packed brown bag breakfasts for us to take with us. Rooms were large and spacious. Roof top terrace provided a beautiful view of the city. Our driver in a Van was not able to get to the street to Riad Alya - so the property sent a staff person and a person to manage our luggage in a trolley to help us get to the hotel! The same service was provided when we left our hotel early on our departure! That was key and they provided that for no extra fee except to tip the luggage person. Extra special service.
