The Oberoi Lombok is now in my top all-time favorite hotels. Everything is engineered for maximum hospitality and enjoyment. The room was beautiful, the grounds were lush, the pool was heavenly, the food was excellent (and vegetarian friendly!), the spa was blissful, and the people were wonderful. Every single person we encountered, whether the welcoming general manager or the restaurant staff, the masseuses, and the cleaning staff were all so kind and welcoming. We felt very cared for by all. Thank you!

I would struggle to find anything not to like, but some of the other guests were greedy with the beautiful poolside gazebos and lounge chairs. It would be nice to have some sort of time limit on how long people can leave a gazebo vacant simply by "reserving" it with a hat or book first thing in the morning. A hat can't enjoy a gazebo for 2 hours by itself, but a person can! :)

A perfect stay especially if you have children. There was something always going on: coconut water time, wood carving time, sorbet time etc. The staff are excellent and having a private jetty is a huge bonus.

The only thing I did not like was the complimentary horse and cart ride to a market that the hotel provides. That was animal cruelty: the horse was exhausted, she was too small to pull a large load, the trip was too much for her, blistering heat, she had no water, it was miserable for her. Horses are better off walking on grass, trotting on concrete for long trips is painful for their hooves, they are not designed to be road runners. The Oberoi should remove this activity entirely and replace it with something else. The current activity is unethical and is profoundly cruel.

We have traveled a lot and seen many nice places, but this was really top notch! The first thing we noticed was the beautiful location, right by the beach. Then we noticed the beautiful buildings, the lighting, the styling and decorations, the background music, and how clean and tidy it was everywhere. The attention to details is just next level. We were very happy with our room (pavillion no. 100) nearby the pool, and I'm sure all the other rooms are great as well. Nice pool, plenty to choose from the menu, all the amenities were great. And last but not least, the staff!! From the driver picked us up at the airport, and throughout our stay the staff was just super friendly, professional and excellent in every way. We will remember our stay at the Lombok Oberoi for the rest of our lives. A highly recommendable 5-star experience!

I can't think of anything negative.

- quiet location away from crowds, no beach touts. - peaceful surroundings, lush green grounds and the sounds of nature. - service with a smile from all staff; nothing was too much trouble, outstanding customer service - the restaurant staff made my husband’s 70th birthday celebration really special - beach attendants were attentive but not intrusive, really liked the red and white flag system😊 - loved how nearly everything in our villa was made from natural products .. apart from perhaps the ice cooler insert, I couldn’t see a single item made from plastic or synthetics - 10/10 - enormous and very comfortable bed and linen, the pillows were dreamy!

There was really nothing to dislike but perhaps a couple of suggestions: - a midweek grill or bbq dinner to break the monotony from the a la carte menu (for those like us whose stay don’t straddle a Friday). - the wooden bed frame that protruded outside the mattress was a little awkward to get off from.. we weren’t quite sure of its purpose.

Having now stayed at three 5 star resorts on Lombok, I can unequivocally say, that the Oberoi was the best of the three. The resort grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained. The resort setting is lovely, right at the beach with Gili Air right in front and Bali’s Mt. Agung towering in the distance. Loungers overlooking the sea are pristine, wrapped in fresh towels, and supplied with cold water, cold towel, and sunscreen. Absolute heaven. Shoutout to Gede who took great of me. My room, while not one of the larger villas, was beautiful and thoughtfully appointed. There wasn’t a single thing I needed that wasn’t supplied. It was spotlessly clean and serviced 2x day. Fruit replenished daily and chocolates on arrival. The staff are meticulously groomed and appropriately uniformed. While some might think this stuffy, I think it encourages professionalism. This is in contrast to the other resorts in which staff were dressed more casual, and frankly, sometimes in clothing that was actually dirty. I was ill during my stay and the Oberoi employees were the kindest most caring hotel staff I have ever encountered. I was eating very simple meals (bananas, rice, toast, etc.), frequently in my room. Not only did the hotel provide these to my room, they offered them complimentary! Who does that? I’ll tell you who, the Oberoi does! They arranged a doctor to see me on a few hours notice. The charges were fair & reasonable. I can only offer my kudos to the General Manager, Mr. Tanmay Vaidya, for a job well done, and a big thank you to all the staff at the Oberoi Beach Resort Lombok who made my stay very memorable.

Nothing.

There cannot be a destination more luxurious than the Oberoi in Lombok. We were celebrating a family trip and this resort made our celebration the highlight of our trip. Right from the manager to the staff, everyone goes above and beyond to ensure that guests are taken care of. From their breakfasts to sun downers, the architecture of the hotel to the amenities, everything is unparalleled. The Spa, gym, tennis, water activities at their own pier, everything was exceptional. The rooms and beds, the small additions like fruits in the room or a sweet treat during turn-down service, are all a part of their exemplary service. The grounds are immaculate and their all-you-can-drink fresh coconut is just an example of how these small gestures matter to guests who travel from various parts of the world to Lombok. Definitely one of those places we will keep repeating very often!

We spent eleven nights at this lovely place and really enjoyed it. Beautifully furnished room, luxurious privat pool, pleasant gazebo, all exceptionally tastefully built in complete privacy. Shaded by trees. Perfectly landscaped surroundings. I especially have to highlight the thorough keeping of the house twice a day. Complimentary horseback riding for children; tea at five o'clock ( once with a bottomless bottle of sparkling wine :o); regular replenishment of fruit and sweets in the room; bike rental, these are all little things that bring joy.

The food in the restaurant (we had half board) was good, sometimes very good. What was a real problem was the time spent waiting for dinner. Every action, every order took an inordinate amount of time. Each evening, killed by waiting for food. Once we tragically waited more than two hours for a main course, which was unacceptable, especially for our small children. Unfortunately, we had to leave the restaurant before dessert due to the late hour. Live music in restaurant, sometimes decent, sometimes out of tune and noisy, did not really contribute to the romantic atmosphere. I would prefer silence, or soft local music, to variety shows.

The Oberoi Lombok is a fabulous hotel. The views, the food, the service, the rooms and overall ambience everything was just PERFECT! The staff is very friendly, always serving with a smile and went out of their way to make it a memorable stay for us. Right from pre-arrival queries & special requests to checkout, the experience was amazing. The food is great, particularly the Indian & Indonesian food. We took a half day tour of Gili islands with snorkeling, good experience. This hotel is a great choice if you're looking for a relaxed, peaceful and then luxurious holiday.

Bed height is high need a stool

We arrived with high expectations, and Oberoi exceeded them in every way. They catered to every little request with perfection. At first, we thought we might get bored, but in the end, the team went above and beyond to make our stay the highlight of our trip through Indonesia. Having traveled to 80 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels, I can confidently say this is one of the best. And the food—absolutely heavenly! I already miss the breakfasts with those breathtaking views, not to mention the incredible dinners. Worth every cent. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

The Oberoi Lombok Resort is a beautiful resort. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is stunning and the king bed was extremely comfortable. The bed is mounted on a heavy timber base and sits quite high. The staff are extremely helpful in everyway. The restaurant or cafe served delicious food at resort prices. We did a private boat trip to the Gili Islands which was fantastic. I highly recommend to anyone to do this. Once you arrive at the resort everything is taken care off its a beautiful place to stay and recharge for a few days. The sunsets are magnificant from this resort, stunning viewing with cocktail in hand.

There was nothing I did not like about the resort. Please note there is very little to do outside of the resort so you need to eat your meals at the resort. The resort is 1.5 hour away from the airport but the Oberoi drivers were lovely, it just adds to the trip. I would recommend flying to the island rather than the boat trip which can take up to 4 hours.
