Excellent location, great staff and a delicious breakfast.

The air conditioner in our room did not work very well. Several other guests said the same was occurring in their rooms. I think that many of the photos are quite dated, as the hotel does not appear as it does in the pictures. The dome rooms have been refurbished.It seems that it was run down, and a new owner/owners have taken over. They are working hard to update the property. One of the owners spoke to many of the staff in an inferior manner daily. It was disappointing to observe. I did not see a restaurant menu for dinner. There are many other options available

Like many of the hotels on the island there are ongoing renovations but this was not a problem for us..our place was quiet and all the conveniences of location were appreciated by us. The pool has been updated; it is the accommodation next to it that is going thru extensive work. But we were more interested in the wonderful snorkling so near by ( we used Turtle point just steps away from the hotel). We had a garden view villa that should be up next up in renovations. The room was spacious and fine but the outdoor bathroom is crying for an update! Breakfasts were wonderful..we had two dinners on site on the patio as well and they too were yummy. The staff were warm and willing to help at a moments notice. Special mention to our waiter Zul (sp?) and the lovely young woman who cleaned our room. We had a great stay

Bathroom needs some updating. The grounds need some tender loving care.

We had such a wonderful stay at Bel Air as a couple for 4 nights. Very comfortable room with spacious bathroom that staff cleaned often for us with options of pool towels daily. The beachfront was very relaxing to spend the morning or afternoon with snorkelling available and the bar serving cocktails and food. The breakfast was very tasty with nice variety. The snooker and bar area were very comfortable and we enjoyed spending evenings at the hotel, playing snooker, listening to live music, watching a movie or having some drinks. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We especially want to thank the bar staff for being so generous and kind. The only issue we would mention is the pool area could have more shade available. Also there was maintenance around the pool during our stay which meant we did not use really - but the beachfront area made up for this! Would certainly stay here again!

Probably one of the best resorts I've ever been to. The staff is cute. We were moved into a separate spherical house, although we booked a simpler room with 2 beds. No extra charge. Wonders. We moved in earlier and left later. Our son was given breakfast as a bonus. A vegetarian breakfast has been adapted for us. Billiard. Unlimited amount of water from the cooler. Saltwater pool with shade from a tree.Super art housing. Restaurant in first line with amazing view. Coral reefs opposite the resort. I felt kissed by God in all places. High recommend.

Look this is Indonesia, on a tiny island where the only transport is a horse and cart, and yet this gem of a place stands out. We stayed in a Garden Room, a gold igloo in its own bamboo compound. It was amazing. Main hotel block is modern. It has its own pool and its own beach. You can snorkel off their beach - but please not at low water give the coral a break don’t break it by walking on it. Foods good, the prices are very reasonable.The staff really pleasant and helpful. If I return to Gili Air I will absolutely stay in Bel Air again.

Menu is a little limited but there are loads of specialist eateries within 5 minutes walk if you want something special.

I loved staying at Bel Air, the bed was so comfortable, the room had excellent block out blinds and I slept so well (I'm a terrible sleeper). The pool was nice and location excellent. I stayed in one of the regular villas. My sister stayed in the garden Villas (look like little spaceships) and found the air con wasn't sufficient for the large room so I'd recommend the smaller rooms. It is just under a km walk from the jetty and right on the beach with it's own private cabanas. You can walk straight out into the ocean from the hotel and see turtles 50m or so off shore. The manager, Endang is incredible and looked after us all so well, including calling the fast boat operator for me when I made a mistake with the booking and got it all sorted.

I would love an Indonesian addition to the breakfast options - nasi goreng or similar. The breakfast is ok but all western options.

The location, staff friendliness, pool and general facilities were excellent. Breakfast and general food options were great and well priced.

Can see that they are busy upgrading the hotel so some of the exterior areas need some touching up. Bathrooms in deluxe rooms are open to outside and although private can make being in the bathroom for any length of time very challenging with the heat as you are leaving an air conditioned room to be in the bathroom.

The staff is so kind, helpful, polite, that's really one of the places we stay that has the kindest staff. The manager Endang is such a great manager, this lady so kind, available, really caring and trying to do her best to give the best hôtel expérience. I loved the attention she gave during the check in to explain us everything. The rooms are renovated and clean, the swimming pool is bigger than the photo on booking, I think it has been recently renovated. The location is clearly one of the best and taking your breakfast on this amazing beach is a wonderful experience.

We stayed in a private, walled, quirky garden villa, which was huge, both inside and out. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was great, with very hot water. Small fridge in room, as well as tea and coffee provided . Good aircondioning. We had a very good breakfast in seating area overlooking the water and Lombok. This area has possibly been impacted by the fairly recent earthquake, which I assume will be remedied soon.

The location was perfect - about 30seconds away from the beach. The room was perfects for my needs. The best thing that stood out were the staff who were profession, courteous and very kind. Breakfast was served outside and again the service was great. Since the island does not have the best roads and there are no transport other than bikes and horse/cart (I chose not to use this as I did not like the idea of the horse working like that in such hot conditions), being able to take a walk less than a minute and reach the beach was a huge benefit.
