It was even better than the photos! How often does that happen 🙏 From the moment of arrival everything was perfect. Lina was amazing waiting there to greet us and show us around and take care of us. What a beautiful and kind lady. The managers were so responsive on what’s app. The grounds just perfect. In fact I made a big call this trip, and I travel around Indonesia a lot. This is my favourite villa I’ve ever stayed in! Perfect in so many ways. The outdoor area just stunning and so spacious and lived the private pool. The decor outside and inside just gorgeous. The hottest water in a shower I’ve ever experienced in Indonesia. The staff at the adjoining resort so friendly and happy. Everything you could ever want inside and more. So many extra touches. Floor to ceiling windows making you feel like you’re outside when you’re inside and a large tv with great internet to watch while lying in bed at night. Just felt like home and never wanted to leave. Came for one night stayed for two and back again on the night before leaving the island. 11/10. ❤️

Couldn’t fault it.

Great location which was not as dusty as the rest of the island. Close to all the shops, restaurants and beaches to see turtles/Snorkle. Definitely a more touristy side of the island so we recommend staying on both sides during your stay. The staff here were very friendly and funny!

The bathroom lock on the door was a bit tricky and there are no curtains on the windows, just around the bed which was a bit strange.

I stayed at Villa Maiya at L'archipel for 3 nights with my dad for his birthday while Gili Air was re-openning slowly, & I have to say that I miss it SO so much already 😭 The villa itself is a gem! Downstairs had a minimalistic, very spacious & clean feel, while the upstairs unit had a more cozy, homey, rustic feel. But lemme tell you, both ac units were NOT playing games! They cooled the rooms within minutes! So be sure to conserve energy & cost to your host, & turn them off before you head out on your adventures 😊 most of which are all walkable from L'archipel! Now the service.... Listen, if I could take them all home with me I would 🤗 Ucup, the manager, could not have been more amazing, kind & patient. He is the very sweetest thing on Gili Air, I promise you! When I tell you I bugged this man non stop, & every single time he responded within SECONDS & came running with a smile :) The 1st night my dad had trouble seeing the stairs in the dark, & the next morning they installed track lights! Ucup provided us with a power adapter, an extra modem, a brush for my sneakers, laundry services, even organized a private boat transfer to Gili T which was ALSO excellent door to door service! The food delivery was deeeeeelicious! (Order the green papaya soup, trust me!) with the best prices on the island, delivered right to your door. Just order at least an hour in advance, as it's made FRESH fresh! Ok ok so before this turns into a love letter, let me conclude by saying.... Just book it! Whether it's one of the villas, or the one bedrooms (I've toured them too) you won't regret it!

If you don't mind a firm bed, piping hot water, & being tucked away in your own little oasis, then this is the place for you! My only regret is not staying longer!

upstairs bedroom was cute but a bit small

Its close enough to the harbour for a comfortable walk and also close to turtle beach. They welcome you with a fresh fruit juice when you arrive and are available via WhatsApp for any issues. This came in handy when one night at 9pm I saw a centipede by my bed. I messaged for someone to come help and they came within 5mins and got rid of it for me. The pool gets afternoon sun which is lovely to hang out in. Hot water was consistent and good water pressure to wash hair.

The alley to get to it is dark, but that's the same for most accommodation on the island.
