The staff was very friendly. At the time of our stay we were the only ones (out of 8 bungalows) staying there which was pretty great :) It is all very well maintained. The breakfast is the best we had during 4 weeks in Indonesia! We liked the fact that the restaurant is a bit "far" from the bungalow.

We read all the reviews of previous guests. And most of it is true: some issues with running water and several flies in the outdoor bathroom, and yes the gecko is also living there. But there is basically nothing the staff could have done any better. Also, you are on the Gilis and a bit more in nature than elsewhere.

This being our third time we stayed here, it was great as usual. The staff were super attentive to all our needs and special shout out to Herman and Agnar who were just awesome. We had an issue with our AC this time around and they shipped in a new unit from Lombok within a few hours. Really hoping we can come back one more time before we leave Indo for good.

This time around, the pool had a really strange smell about it, not chlorine but some other cleaning chemical which was super strong and not pleasant, made our boys eyes sting, which was not the case the last two times we stayed here.

Everything, the front porch ,the water dispenser! Bungalow with everything you need ,cleaning every day,after a long day at the beach you come in a cool,clean room ,perfect! Nice garden with wash you feet station on the entrance to not carry all the sand in the room.Pool small but well kept it and very good to cool off . The restaurant for breakfast was very nice and you have 10% off if you go and eat with them for the other meals( breakfast was included).

Nothing to do with the accommodation, the Muslim calling for prayer at 5 am. You could hear in the room! It is an island, so expect humidity insects and dust. A bit of walking til the breakfast but on the beach side so it is a pleasure in the morning.

Really enjoyed this place. It is a 3 star kind of place but operating at the very best a 3 star can. Villas were spotless and cleaned daily, was nice to be able to sit outside but under shade in front of them, bathrooms and showers were great and modern. People were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The Chill Out bar where you get breakfast if 10-15 mins walk or a few minutes by bike which you can hire for £2 per day from loads of places nearby. The breakfast was awesome, loads of choice and loads of food to the point we didn’t need lunch. Chill out looks a bit less upmarket than some of the other places but in the evening it comes alive with tables on the beach, two for one cocktails and a great bbq. Steak and tuna steak both very good as is the salad buffet you get with it. The pool was great to cool down in, not big enough to do lots of swimming and you need goggles as chemicals are strong. Water very warm but still cool compared to outside temp and you can use it any time. All in all I would highly recommend Gili air bungalows.

Great location with just a short walk to many bars, restaurants and the beach. Herman and his staff were extremely helpful in all regards and they even took our cases down to the port while we walked to save us a transfer fee. Breakfast is served in a local restaurant about a 7 minute walk away and options are plentiful and delicious, with a great beachfront location. Book this place, you wont go wrong, I loved it and I’m fussy!

Nothing, it was all great for us although the less mobile may find the 7 minute walk to the restaurant a bit harder than normal.

The bungalows are in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the beach but set back enough so it's nice and peaceful. There are also lots of nice restaurants close by! The bungalows are set out in a really nice garden, with a pool in the middle. They're comfy and cosy, and kept very clean. You also get a full water cooler to use for your stay. The breakfast included is a great bonus, as it's in a cafe on the beach, where you can also use their sunbeds for the day.

Each morning we did wake to a smell of burning. Local people make small fires early in the morning, and this happens very close to the bungalows. Because the bathrooms are open, the smoke easily comes in.

The location is very nice because it's private but near the beach and shops! There is a local food restaurant called Shendy's nearby and it's super fresh and delicious! The pool is very nice and clean, and the area is very quiet. The staff is very nice and caring, and the breakfast is amazing! The breakfast is about an 8 minute walk away, but it's by the ocean and super yum! We decided to stay here for 2 more nights because we love it so much! Would 100% stay again!!

I highly recommand. Everything was perfect: the location was great, you can reach almost any place within 10/15 minutes max. The bed was comfortable, the water was hot and the pressure was strong enough to enjoy a nice shower outside. The breakfast was very good and filling and it was worth it to walk for 10 minutes to reach the restaurant. The garden was colorefull and cute, it was such a piece of heaven. Compare to other hotels, you barely hear the mosque from inside at night (with earplugs at least)

The floor was a bit dusty which made sometimes the floor mudy if you walk with wet feet but except this little detail , everything was perfect

We loved staying at Gili Air Bungalows! Very comfortable place for families, we loved the room, balcony and pool. Location is close to the main sites, in my opinion the best area to stay!

You will need to walk a bit to get to the breakfast place, for us it was not a problem at all as we rented the bikes from the reception, and it was quite fun for our daughter (they have sit for kids) but just to be aware in case someone has any limitations. And by the way, the breakfast place was great, big amount and beach view.

Brick villa’s are really comfortable. Comfy mattress and big partially open bathroom. Lovely tropical garden with decent pool and plentiful loungers plus 2 raised seating areas. Peaceful location but just 50 metres from beach & best snorkelling spot. Breakfast is 6 minutes walk away but fantastic and can use the facilities at the cafe for free. Lovely helpful staff (thanks Ayu) would definitely stay again - Gili Air is blissful

Nothing but being picky the traditional bungalows are a bit dark. Price is also a bit high but then it is Gili Air
