Everything. The room is nice, clean, comfortable. The wifi connection was perfect for us working, including having video calls every day. The lobby has games and books for entertainment. The pool area is nice and it’s great they sell juices and drinks. The breakfast was also good and they were always able to provide a gluten free adaptation for me (as a celiac). The location is excellent, very centric. The island is so small you can walk everywhere but they also rent bikes. The best part of this stay was the superb customer service from the staff. They were so friendly and always available to help. They make the experience of staying at Jago just great.

I adored my stay at Jago! The room itself was luxurious, easily the best accommodation I had during my 3 weeks in Indonesia. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, we arrived in pouring rain and they provided us with umbrellas and made us comfortable after being soaked. Jago feels so homely. Harry, one of the staff members felt like family, his hospitality is great and made our stay so enjoyable. I would stay again purely based on him working there. Cannot recommend this place any more highly!

I had two separate stays at the Jago, once for two nights when I first arrived in the Gilis, and again at the end for two nights. This review covers both of those stays. The Jago was one of the main reasons why I had such a wonderful time in Gili Air. Yes there are tangible things about the place that are great - the super fast wifi (how the heck do you get 200 Mbps internet on a little island?!!), the pool, the loungers, the small boutique hotel feel, etc. But the jewel in its crown is the staff. I don't know how or where they found these fellas but they are awesome. They're personable, friendly, curious and interested to get to know you, and they themselves get up to all sorts of interesting things - one night I was passing reception, and they were studying a fiction novel that a guest had donated, and they asked for some help understanding some of the words, because they were trying to improve their English. Another night, one of them was teaching the other one guitar. On yet another night they were training each other in doing latte art. By the end of my stay, I was full of appreciation for how much these guys (and the locals of Gili Air in general) made it a wonderful holiday for me. The actual hotel facilities: the rooms are spacious and bright thanks to glass ranch-sliders along the front. You have your own little patio with seats and coffee table with a bit of privacy afforded by plants / shrubs. There's only 10 rooms, arranged in two rows of 5 facing each other, separated by the large pool, with shrubs and plants providing privacy between pool and the rooms. This size of facility is an ideal if you're a solo traveller, as I find with places of this size the other guests tend to be more open to interacting a bit. It seemed to me that this place was popular with couples 35-50. The wifi is fast - very fast and very reliable. I measured the download speed at 200 Mbps.

A modern, small, clean hotel located in a great location for the ferry, restaurants, and beaches to the east and west. Felt very at home as the team was super friendly, chatty, and positive vibes! Breakfast was plentiful and diverse, the cocktails especially espresso martinis with very tasty! Wi-Fi, Aircon, and shower were all strong & reliable. Pool was nice and sun loungers comfy with shade available. Fantastic to have chilled drinking water available at reception. The mosque is near but the call to prayer can be heard everywhere. Don’t let this deter you as it really is a fabulous place!

This is a small boutique hotel with a pool and a nice chill-out area with a bar — perfect for relaxing. The rooms are cleaned every day and are nice, but a bit worn out. Breakfast was tasty, with a few different options to choose from. Having the option to rent a bike was also a great bonus. But the biggest highlight here was definitely the staff. The guys working there are incredibly friendly, talkative, and always willing to help. We truly felt like we’d known them for a long time — such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Staff like this is rare to find — absolutely amazing!

A really lovely place to stay, close enough to the harbour to walk, but felt very private and away from the hustle & bustle in the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and great value for money. The staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful and nothing was a bother to them. They went out of their way to make sure you felt welcome and enjoyed your stay. The pool was great, very clean and nicely landscaped. They gave you fresh pool towels each day if you needed them. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again.

Our family of 4 stayed in the 2 bedroom villa for 6 nights. The villa itself - very clean, and comfortable - cleaned daily - has fridge, microwave, basic utensils - built-in international plug points a HUGE bonus! - shower hot, water pressure was great - had strong WiFi, smart tv w netflix - the kids enjoyed the private pool! - modern furnishings, tastefully furnished - the property is very well maintained, no signs of wear and tear Breakfast - delivered to our villa each morning (the smoothie bowls and nasi goreng were repeat orders for us) Staff - I read many glowing reviews which mentioned the wonderful staff here and it was the reason I chose to stay here - they did not disappoint; Herry & Ulfi and the rest of the team were very welcoming and helpful - requests were tended to quickly - communication was easy w staff via dedicated whatsapp, and they responded quickly as well - they remembered all our names from day 1 and each time we came back we were greeted so enthusiastically 😃 Property - We rented bikes from the property which is recommended as a way to get around. - There is a common area out front with games and books to anyone to use/ read. - very well maintained

Nothing to dislike, some improvements points such as an additional clothes rack/ hooks in bathroom, maybe a full length mirror, but nothing that will make your stay less enjoyable.

We loved absolutely everything about Jago and didn't want to leave! Everyone working there is so friendly and helpful. Special mention to Harry and Ulfy (sorry we're unsure re the spelling) who made us feel so welcome and the owners who also made us feel right at home. The location is amazing - short walk from the pier and close to lots of bars and restaurants. We felt very safe. It's super clean. The breakfast and coffee were both delicious. It's such good value for money, and they have a gorgeous house cat called Fluffy. We highly recommend staying here!

Jago is perfectly located, 5 minute stroll from the pier. The staff are fabulous, can't do enough for you. Special mention to Harry who goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and have a chat with you every time he sees you. As a solo traveller I felt very safe and at ease in Jago. Great to have the bicycle rental on site and the free snorkel also. A great spot to base yourself in Gili Air. Great value for money, would definitely recommend.

It would have been great to have the option of lunch on site. If you're lying out by the pool you have to get up, dressed and head out. A minor inconvenience but would be handy to have on site.

We got a recommendation to stay at Jago and we are happy we did it. The staff was great and helpful, location was perfect and the room was clean and comfortable. We were able to rent bikes from Jago and cycling was nice way to explore this tiny but beautiful island. The breakfast bowls were delicious but would have been nice to have something else with it, for example toast. The only minuses were in the bathroom: tap felt like it could have loosen at any minute, one night the drain in the shower didn't take any water for some time and at times there was a slight sewage smell. But all in all a great stay and we can warmly recommend Jago!
