Location is so close to everything. Easy (only 6 mins) walk from Boat to Accomadation. Tucked down a quiet street so very peaceful. The mpsque is loud but it is not at all next door - it is quiete some distance so would be loud all over the island. Loved the room and private closed in terrace. Open shower is great. More light especially in bathroom would be good, hower it does create a peaceful atmlsphere so i can see why. The walk for breakfast to the main resort is lovely just head back to the harbour and keep going left. Best breakfast options i've had during my stay in Bali. Being able to use the resort facilites is lovely bonus. Had a great time fully recommend.

Really nice room and bathroom, nicer than the pictures actually! Really good location, easy to walk to from the pier and near the Main Street of shops/restaurants. The beach club was also nice with comfy chairs and good sea access.

It is right next to the mosque so you get woken up at 5am everyday with the prayer calls! We think this is why the hotel is cheap. The toilets at the beach club were horrible, and there was little sun if you wanted to tan. Breakfast was okay, definitely get the full English as this was the best option. You get breakfast at the beach club. There was rarely anyone at reception, they are responsive on WhatsApp but it’s tricky to actually speak to anyone. The first day we did not get hot water because they rely on solar power to heat the water.

The location of the accommodation is great—just a 4-minute walk from the harbour. The staff are very friendly and helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The room and the pool are both very nice and clean. The room is spacious, comfortable, and spotless, with a very cozy bed and clean sheets. They also provide both bathroom and pool towels, which is a great bonus.

Breakfast is served about a 10-minute walk from the accommodation at Scallywags Beach Club. While it’s a bit of a distance, it’s actually quite nice since the location is right by the sea and very beautiful. They don’t provide water with breakfast, but the portions are generous and the food tastes amazing. The bathroom is outdoors, which can feel a bit uncomfortable at night as the lighting is not very strong.

Before coming, our booking was upgraded to another Skallywags hotel location, just near the beach! Super comfortable to reach from the port, like 5 min walk. Our villa was super comfy and clean, there was everything we needed, like shampoo, soap, fan, refrigerator, drinking water, big mirror! The view from a villa was beautiful, to the greenery garden. The stuff was amazingly kind and supported. They helped us with all our questions. We even get free coconuts from one of them! Their breakfast were delicious. Moreover, portions were also huge! We will definitely be back to this place again!

Actually, everything was great. The only thing that there were sometimes mosquitoes in the bathroom, but it's not a big deal.

Location is amazing, 5 min walk from the port and on a side street so super quiet at night. Room is in it own little compound so it feels very safe. Smugglers is part of the Scallywags beach resort where you have breakfast (the best I’ve had so far!) checking in was super easy, the reception isn’t manned but easy to get hold of someone on WhatsApp’s to be checked in. Loved the outdoor shower, super comfy bed and pillows. Room has its own water tank which is a massive plus. Would highly recommend to anyone on a budget, best place I have stayed in terms of what you get for your money.

Scallywags provides a high standard of comfort. The room is spacious, everthing works well. Excellent bed and bedlinnen, cushions.Perfect for a secluded get away. The pool is lovely, often like a private pool when nobody else is around

Smugglers is in the middle of the village next to a mosque! The route to the hotel is not well posted. It is in a tiny back alley. Since breakfast is served at Scallywags by the beach, it is always quite a walk of 10min+. The breakfast menue was unfortunately scaled down due to season. Some of the staff members definitely need more training apart from improved language skills.

Big, pretty (nice decorations) and comfortable room with fridge, hairdryer etc. Big, the most comfortable bathroom we had in Indonesia with very nice cosmetics (even hair conditioner and body lotion). The breakfast was served in bar on the beach - 10 minutes walk but with excellent seaview. Hotel is 6 minutes walk from harbour.

A little bit claustrophobic space around the room. Green colour of water in swimming pool. We had to wait for the reception hosts to make check-in.

We had the most amazing stay at Scallywags. Rooms cleaned every day and fresh drinking water left in the fridge every day too. The staff are amazing, friendly and extremely helpful. The beds are HUGE and incredibly comfortable! It’s close enough to bars and restaurants but set back so it’s quiet at night. Would highly recommend.

The 5am prayer call every morning was very loud- not the hotels fault but just to note if you’re a light sleeper to bring ear plugs! :D

Wow! Just book it! Lovely bed, lovely towels, bathrobe, fantastic rain shower with hot water open to the Sky but with anti insect netting. Great AC, a small dipping pool. TV with a few movie channels. 2 min walk to main shopping area. Breakfast was pretty awesome. Their lunch was brilliant too, with free salad to go with it.

1. They didn't tell me when booking that their restaurant was a 10 minute walk around the coast. Not a deal breaker, but might suck if it was raining. The breakfast was pretty awesome 2. The smoke alarm battery needed replacing. Couldn't reach it to rake it out, so it beeped all night on my last night. No one's fault, so not a biggie.

Good location. Access to Scallywags resort area. Good value for money

Couple of things were misrepresented- 1) The picture of the bathroom shown on the booking page is different than the actual bathroom. Part of the bathroom is open to sky which some guests might not be comfortable with considering we could hear a big sound of gecko outside our room on one night. I was always worried stepping in the bathroom in the middle of the night 2) The breakfast although good was served at the scallywags resort ( again nice place by the beach) but is a 10 min walk from scallywags smuggler which wasn’t mentioned on the booking page
