We had so much fun at Horizon 777. Best hotel in the place. It's taken care by the owner who adds touches of care and love in every corner or the hotel. There's the rosemary bushes in front of each room that give off a slight spa aroma. The view from the room's balcony is insane. In the morning there is handmade fresh croissants and rhubarb muffins. The rhubarb is picked from his extensive gardens. The breakfast also has fruit, juice, yogurt and excellent coffee and handmade cupcakes. I also asked for a fire on a dreary and gray day where the wood was wet. The owner worked hard for 30minutes so I could have a lovely fire. All in all a very clean and homey stay. Would return in a heartbeat.

An older building, but anything that matters has been updated inside. The owner clearly knows what guests value, as all the small things are done well. Body wash that actually lathers. A shower curtain that stays put and doesn't stick to you. Strong hooks in the bathroom for your towel and clothes. Clear instructions for the TV, etc. Super comfy bed, pillows, and bedding. Everything very clean. Homemade croissants in the morning (yep, homemade). Great views of the St. Lawrence. And an engaging owner with a great sense of humour.

A bit of a hike to walk to a restaurant, but only a 5 minute drive.

We chose the property purely based on its location between Saquenay and Quebec and time of day we needed to leave the former and arrive at the latter. We arrived tired and hungry at 7pm after a long day of kayaking in Saguenay and the proprietor's answer to our request for dinner suggestions (go to the grocery store for a baguette, some paté, and a bottle of wine and eat it on the balcony) was perfect. We enjoyed the proprietor's sense of humor and chit-chat over breakfast in the morning. He kindly also let us spread out our wet camping gear on the fence and lawn to drive so that we could properly repack it before continuing our journey into Quebec where wouldn't need it for several days.

In the backyard there is a firepit to enjoy at night with a glass of wine. Or have your breakfast there while looking out at the river. Nice breakfast, comfortable beds, enjoyable conversation in the morning with other guests travelling the area. We could not ask for more. Don't miss Port-au-Persil just a few km south... absolute gem of a stop!

We had a wonderful time at Horizon. The service was exceptional, the bed was cozy, and the room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious, and there was a cute and friendly cat . The view was fantastic, and the owner was incredibly welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the hotel.

I am gluten free and don't care for yogurt first thing especially so thankfully I had my own food. My husband had a croissant which was good and a coffee which he said was better in our room.(Room had a Nespresso machine). Owner was friendly. Bed was very comfortable and clean. It was a nice quiet room.

We didn't like that there was only stairs to our room. Thankfully we didn't need much so carried it up in a backpack. He didn't have 10% cream for the coffee only 3% milk. I also didn't realize that it was a ferry ride across the river to the hotel which added time and money to our trip. (I thought it was a toll bridge) The owner didn't have all the breakfast items out because he said breakfast was at 7:30. We had a long trip home so we're on the road by then.

The owner is very hands on and provides extraordinary care and attention to detail. Excellent grounds and views.

The property is fine and well cared for. Its location in St Simeon is a drawback as we had to drive 30 -40 KM south to find good restaurants. The property made a good place to travel short distances,(under 50 km) both north and south to excellent attractions as well.

Current, comfortable beds and furniture. Fridge with freezer and microwave. Nespresso machine in the room. Continental breakfast food and amenities available and accessible at all times. The grandest view of the St. Lawrence. Outdoor hot tub available in winter. Spacious and clean room.

The restaurant next door closed at 2 pm daily so required microwave suppers or travel.

Lovely property overlooking the St. Lawrence with beautiful gardens. James was so welcoming and informative. Breakfast delicious, varied and full of conversation. The room was spotless, and had been well thought out for comfort and ease. What a find!! Thank you. It was memorable and I hope to return.

Everything was perfect!

It has a beautiful garden and you even can see Saint-Lawrence River from room balcony. A very quite hotel and the owner is very friendly. Since we arrived late, the owner let us use the kitchen for s simply dinner. In the morning, they also provide a small breakfast. Room and bathroom are clean. Just one hour drive to Tadoussac for whale watching.
