I sent a message to the motel requesting to be on the ground floor because we have some heavy items and we are 80 years old. The lady who checked us in was very accommodating and put us in a suite near an entrance to that building. (which was a room upgrade, with a large refrigerator) Our room was clean and quiet for sleeping.

When we entered our room, it felt refrigerated, so we had to turn on the heater to 73°.

Generally I found out (living out of the USA) new trend which is horrible that big truck drivers are parking next to the motel and leave their big truck’s engines running all the night, even if they do not transport anything which can expire. Why the truck transporting mobile house needs to run engine all night? It is really hard to sleep with this. So next time I will be choosing motels with small parking lot where such trucks do not fit

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room smelled nice and clean. Loved the fact there was no carpet in room. Had tea, coffee and hot water machine available anytime i wanted to use it. Have a nice sized game/pool table/gathering room. (Have to pay to play games) I had a microwave/ refrigerator in room. The Grocery store, McDonald's,subway,2 gas stations all right by motel - short walking distance (met my meal needs.) Dollar general down the road. Right off interstate 80. Felt safe and enjoyed my stay.

It was very clean and good location. All of the staff were very friendly.

I didn’t like the fact that there was no shampoo, hair dryer, etc in the room. There was a note that if you forgot these items that they could help you. I know there was shampoo, toothpaste, etc in a vending machine.

Sometimes one will conjure up a certain image when a Motel 6 comes to mind. Not this one. This is a lovely, well maintained, well lit, quiet, and safe place to stay for one night while on the road. Staff was very friendly and accomodating, the ladies at the front desk especially. the fridge and microwave in the room were appreciated. A very good night's sleep was had due to the comfy beds and the quiet room.

There is no breakfast, but we knew that when we booked, so no problem.

Great shower, bed and pillows! That's really all I need! This hotel has hard floors, which I kinda like. But it made for noisy neighbors upstairs. Get a 2nd floor room to avoid that. There was no hairdryer. I don't care, but I know some folks do. I'd stay here again!

I have travelled a lot throughout the US and stayed in many many Motel 6. This is by far the best one! The facility is really well renovated and maintained. Spotless room, soft towels, comfy bed... The swimming pool area turned into a pool/ lounge room is a brilliant idea and the laundry room is always a plus. Staff was super friendly and made it easy to add a second night. Good location if you are visiting Winterset and Des Moines.

Add a few tables and offer a complimentary continental breakfast to go along with the already very decent coffee! And maybe put a do not disturb sign in the rooms :)

It was so clean and comfortable! And the sho er was outstanding! The entire staff is amazing—so friendly and fun! And the location is great. Very safe and near two convenience stores and a McDonalds. I will definitely stay here next time I’m in town!

Everything was outstanding!

The room paint colors--soothing. Very quick and easy check-in. Not necessary to have a damage deposit. I needed to use the guest laundry facilities. It was clean and easy to use. I like the room set-up.

The hotel was very clean and elegant inside. The price for a one night stay was cheap! Our room was well cleaned before our arrival.

The parking was a bit challenging, needs a bigger lot. There was no breakfast option at the hotel.
