Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Scenery was beautiful. Pool temp was good. We had fun overall.

Showers are awful and ours had actual mold on it. One waiter was moody. While I appreciate the staff went out of their way to accommodate our food allergies (and they did) these are not allergy friendly restaurants if you have more than one. I called ahead to make sure before booking that it would be ok. It was difficult. The waitress at TJ Muskies was fantastic though. Some of the activities close kind of early for the day. They need to make activity scheduling more clear upon check in. I think they could reduce pricing a bit.

I felt like I was in the movie dirty dancing without the drama. Everyone knew us, welcomed us and even though it was our first time visit by the second day it felt like we had been visiting every summer for decades. Truly a calming beautiful relaxing experience. The scenery, the pontoon, the campfire, the pool, the people. Just a great place.

Food quality was good, but not amazing. Yet, it was on par for the prices. For once you're not being over priced for food. Quality was good and lots of variety just don't look for "Fancy" food.

This beautiful resort has it all! Situated within a state park, there are various trails to explore and it is so gorgeous and well maintained while still feeling natural and wild. There are boats, bikes and golf too. The restaurant is great as well as the staff. The pool is beautiful and the outdoor fire pit is a nice place to kick back after a full day. The rooms are roomy and comfortable and the lake view is majestic. We loved everything about our stay here!

What’s not to love?

My husband and I went to Stonewall for our wedding anniversary. This place was amazing, if you like the outdoors. If you don't, this is not the place for you. Everything was awesome... the food, the rooms, the convenience of the pool, the marina and the rental of the CraigCat, feeding the carp and ducks, and I can't forget the entire staff.. they were so very nice. They made you feel extra special.

There was not anything we didn't like.

Stonewall is an annual stay for us. We fall in love more and more each time. Our pets enjoy it just as much as we do!

Not really a negative thing to say! The Stonewall is a favorite stay of ours. We were slightly dissapointed in our waitress at light burns on labor day firework night..we are a younger couple (both small business owners so go above and beyond with kindness and our tipping) and we really just felt like she ignored only us pretty much the whole time.. For example she did not offer to fill our waters once at dinner but then gave another table of 3 older couples all waters to take out to the fireworks. We are used to it being younger having judgement passed but still put a bit of a damper on our date night. The $75/pp buffet was lovely and well worth it and the views r top notch!

Wonderful Resort! The staff, especially the servers at Stillwater’s Restaurant were over the top! It clear the management in charge of serving staff of all kind, valet, front desk etc. are doing a great job!

I’m sad to have anything negative to say, but the food served really needs improved! If I returned I would definitely map out restaurants in the area to go to! It’s such a shame because otherwise the resort is a 10!

Everyone was super friendly and kind! My family and I were road tripping (a 10 hour drive from Virginia to Illinois). We had already been driving for a few hours and the kitchen had already closed for the night but the staff was so kind and allowed us to buy a pizza to go. Even provided us with paper plates and napkins as well! The resort (from what we saw from our overnight stay, we stayed only one night and left in the morning.) was absolutely beautiful especially the restaurants and the pool. Sadly we weren't able to see the rest of the property but I'm already making future plans to return with friends.

Everything was perfect.

We ate at all 3 restaurants and the food was great! They have a wonderful place to sit in the lodge. We played games, read, relaxed. We rented kayaks and explored the wonderful shorelines. We even beached them and swam in the river. It was glorious! We took a ride on the Little Sorrel up to the dam. Wonderful! We swam in their great pool. We bought several smore kits and roasted marshmallows. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommend this resort!

The only thing that we didn't like was the noisy air conditioner units.

Very peaceful setting in the woods by a big lake. beautiful entry as you come in and decent size clean room overlooking lake. Excellent food at Stillwaters. Nice indoor-outdoor pool with poolside bar for drinks and food. Nice big TV in room and able to connect to personal Netflix account. Shower had great water pressure and appreciated having full shampoo and conditioner dispensers instead of tiny bottles.

The pool wasn’t nearly large enough for guests, not enough pool chairs by far. And perhaps need more massage therapists — even calling a week in advance was not enough to book a massage for any time in our 3-day stay. The decor in the room was a little dark/rustic for a high class resort, the bed was and pillows were too soft to sleep comfortably.

My family and I like going around Christmas because we love the way they decorate the place. It’s absolutely beautiful. And the food and drinks at TJ Muskies are really good. We were also pleasantly surprised by an Elvis impersonator singing Christmas songs in TJ Muskies when we went in for dinner. We love visiting Stonewall.

The only disappointment this trip was that the indoor hot tub wasn’t working and the water was super cold so everyone was crowded into the outside hot tub.
