Staff was excellent. April, who was working the evening I arrived, helped me find the location and checked me in, assisting me in thinking through my plans and where to find decent food. She was very kind and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable with the right things for my stay.

In the bathroom, where there was a strip of lights above the sink, it seemed that after the lights were on for several minutes, the light unit began ticking. It sounded like water dripping from the shower head but when I checked, that was not what was happening. It was the lights. The ticking sound was loud enough that I closed the bathroom door to diminish the sound. I learned to not have the lights on unless really necessary or for long. Not a huge deal but real.

The staff were excellent and responsive in the extreme. We had initially some problems with the television, and a man came and fixed it for us, knowledgeably and with a great attitude. Later, our heating unit was blowing mostly cold air, and when my husband mentioned it the next morning, they moved us to a completely different room that was working quite well, and they added a couple of extra blankets! I'm a few months post surgery, so having such a caring response helped immeasurably. Every staff member just seemed to go the extra mile.

The breakfast location was OK and the coffee was good. Food selection was not for my tastes. Individual containers of peanut butter would have made a big difference for me. On the plus side, the scrambled eggs Sunday morning were very good.

We've stayed here for the past 4 years for a family reunion. Staff is always nice, rooms are always clean. We love that they're truly Pet Friendly.

When arriving to my room, the door was open and bed clothing was piled up. Although I took a peek I would not enter. The internet was so slow I couldn't get a connection but the staff was fantastic and gave me a suite for the same price and it was AN EXCEPTIONAL ROOM. They made it up in a big was, I will definitely stay again...and pay more for a suite. Convenient to a lot of local amenities.

Slow internet service and not fond of the smart TV as I could watch an choose a movie, but prefer cable to watch local news. Not to say...LOL it could have been a not so smart operator. No matter a great place to stay..

This is a consistently nice place to stay. It is safe and usually very quiet and is always very clean. The delicious and filling morning breakfast is back in action after brief lull due to Covid 19. Thank you for 5 years of stays as our child attended nearby Wesleyan College. It was a nice time in Buckhannon for all of us over the years. We will plan a visit sometime in the future to this charming city. Thank you.
