Have stayed 3 weekends so far this winter season. It is a characterful little hotel-resort with its own restaurant and a LOT of land, including open grassy lawns, an open-air function area with a stage for events, a children's play area, on-site shop for small grocery items - and unusually, a mini-zoo with a few animals. The on-site restaurant serves good Gulf, Indian and Chinese and continental dishes and makes it super-convenient to finish a long drive, arrive and have food without having to go out again and search for it. There are even restaurants within 10 minutes walk outside, and the Safeer hypermarket 5 min walk away. Daraysh has been great as a place to stay overnight and explore the mountains by day. The hills in Thoban and Masafi are within 30 min drive and very pleasant in winter for those interested in trekking. (Use wikiloc.com to find various hikes for different ability levels). Also the town of Mleiha (30 min) has some archaeological significance and very photo-worthy peaks (Jebel Mleiha, Jebel Faya and Jebel Buhais). The town of Dhaid is very quiet, but that lends to its charm: it is great for a nature break 2 hours away from Dubai or Abu Dhabi and without driving 1 hour extra to either Fujairah or Ras al Khaimah (both are good for mountain sports). The staff at Daraysh were very helpful and welcoming, the rooms are clean and basic utilities (wifi, hot water etc) work well. Although the hotel is designated 2-stars, the guests get a level of convenience greater than that, in my opinion.

In line with the conservative nature of Sharjah, there are megaphones inside the resort which play the call to prayer. The rooms closest to the megaphone will experience a very loud wake-up call before dawn. However, there are rooms where the walls are thick enough that it does not disturb sleep. If it is an issue, you can ask for one of the more sound-proofed rooms at time of booking. When guests arrive, the parking in front of the hotel has recently become paid (municipal) parking (though very cheap, AED 12 for 5 hours). Reception have to make guests aware as they may park without knowing.

Convenient location with excellent restaurant and very friendly staff. Rooms are clean and service is excellent. Only thing was AC made some noise every now and then that disturbed sleep. Otherwise, very good experience and we stayed 18 more nights there.

Some weird sound A/C made. Everything else exceeded our expectation and the price was very reasonable.

Neat & clean hotel. Huge restaurant & open space for party or function. Would recomend for animal lovers as lots of animal inside. Spl thanks to manager mrs ameena who is taking care of property nicely maintained.. & mr abdul who take care at reception. They also provide space for day function / party at nominal charges.

Parking is outside hotel premises.But still ok with it.

unfortunately some renovation work was going on next door which was a part of the Hotel. a bit annoying at times the banging. Fortunately I was working most of the day.

Clean place,very quite, somehow the room makes you feel like home, best staff ever, great room service, the food at the restaurant is so delecious with reasonable prices, reception and restaurant staff are so cooperative, thanks to everyone for making this a great comfortable stay.

wifi quality can be improved.

The serene beautiful location and the zoo...as i love animals!the hotal is kept clean, restaurant serves very tasty food and its quite a budget friendly escape from the hustle bustle of the city.

Lack of swimming pool

Lots of privacy even though on the main road. Many activities available on site. Affordable food. In-house mini zoo. Excellent staff.

When you drive a lot it is nice to have a hotelroom with a terrace where you can sit outside. The hotel has also a very good restaurant with friendly staff

that they are pet friendly and the staff specially Mohmein Hussain is very accommodating
