The hotel is very affordable and also luxurious. It is located in a part of Košice that is just a short car or bus ride away from the city center, yet far enough for one to enjoy the beautify and tranquility of Slovakia's great outdoors. The property itself is historic and staying here is a cultural experience in itself - the spa/wellness center on site is reflective of how important spa and sauna are to Central European/Slovak culture and this is reflected in the fact that entry to the wellness was included with my hotel stay. The restaurant on site also had an excellent variety of cuisine, including several traditional Slovak dishes, and had staff that was caring, attentive, and multilingual. I particularly liked that the restaurant on site was willing to accommodate a request for food to be prepared, billed, and delivered to my room through room service. Even though there was a fee for this service, the service was professional and of high quality and also enabled me to enjoy more time relaxing in the wellness center while my food was being prepared. I enjoyed my time here and highly recommend this place.

I have no complaints - the hotel was very attentive to my requests and needs. Maybe one small area for improvement - add a minibar to the hotel rooms. But this is not a complaint, just a suggestion for how the hotel could be made better.

The rooms were exceptionally spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a truly comfortable stay. I was impressed by the modern yet cozy feel, and the large windows allowed plenty of natural light, offering a fantastic view of the surrounding area. The hotel’s location is also a major highlight. It’s perfectly situated in a peaceful and scenic part of town, yet still close enough to local attractions, making it easy to explore and enjoy everything the area has to offer. One of the standout features of my stay was the breakfast. It offered an extensive selection of both hot and cold items, all fresh and delicious. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast or something lighter, there’s definitely something to satisfy every taste. The Wellbeing Center at Hotel Bankov is simply amazing. It’s the ideal place to relax and unwind, with a range of spa treatments, a well-equipped fitness area, and a tranquil atmosphere that makes it hard to leave. But what truly made my stay unforgettable was the staff. Every team member I interacted with was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive. Their warmth and attention to detail made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Bankov for anyone seeking a luxurious, comfortable, and relaxing stay. From the spacious rooms and incredible facilities to the impeccable service and the rich history that surrounds it, it truly stands out as one of the best hotels in the area!

Lovely hotel in Bankov, just outside of the city of Košice. We really enjoyed our stay there. The hotel is clean and the surroundings are amazing. Staff is super friendly and the food at the restaurant is very good. If you want to stay in a quiet place away from the city, this is the place for you.

The bathroom was a bit small and we didn't have air conditioning in our room. But we had a fan that kept us alive in the heat and humidity. 🤣

The location is amazing, in a forest with fresh air (and still not far from the city centre). Nice rooms and lobby area, latter with full of interesting paintings. Very nice staff in the restaurant, they were flexible and offered dairy free dishes/gluten free bread. They all speak good English, receptionist was also helpful. Small jacuzzi, but lovely sauna &relaxing area in wellness.

The dinner was self-service, it just doesn’t fit a hotel that has the potential to be so elegant! Having an a la carte restaurant is a must, and breakfast could also be more diversified. I would higher up the costs and take advantage of the location, building and make it more high end.

The working hours of the spa and unavailability to use the swimming pool before breakfast and after 22 o’clock. Sauna opening only at 14:00 o’clock- when we leave the hotel.

This hotel breathes history and has a special atmosphere, making you feel going back in time while having modern comfort at the same time. We had a large and quiet room at the back side of the hotel. Staff was very friendly and forthcoming. The breakfast room is nicely decorated. I enjoyed their coffee too.

The weather was rather bad and so it was rather dark in the room as it faced the woods

Loved the spa part of the hotel, definitely would return. Just really get to relax and enjoy yourself. It is a bit secluded but taxis are cheap enough in Slovakia so didn’t mind that at all.

Honestly wasn’t a huge fan of breakfast, wish there were more options.

The sorrounding is fantastic ! The welness part is outstanding, the sauna was exceptional! I can recommend to everybody!

Only one point: In Márai caffe, we can't read the introducing text, because everything was in Slovak language.

If anything I would say they didn’t hire bikes that my nine year old could use but they didn’t advertise that they did either so it’s far enough but he did want to go on a bike ride.
