The price Location Staff Cost of beer and food Meeting new people

The noise Ski room Showers (I was in a dorm, you have to be regimented with your kit, have essentials close to hand, what I mean by that is if you are getting up early 06:30 -7 people are still sleeping so you don't want to disturb them) There is a shelf next to the bed more like a catacombs, have a torch too for loo breaks) I had an electric toothbrush nicked from my bed space, there are locker's but it's a first come first served affair. Generally I was lucky but a group of 25-30yr olds came in a didn't give a damn about noise and it was about 02:00 by the time it quietened down, I would stay there again but get a single room.. I was on a course so had to focus and the sleep was important..

Staff are exceptional! The food is exceptional! The location is ideal and general size of property is nice.

Showers aren’t the biggest, beds aren’t the most comfy from light gaps to general tough mattress and no option to change bedding if staying more than a few days. General house rules for guests needs improved and enforced loud guests from kids to adults was daily and at all hours.

Atmosphere, ambiance, staff, price, bar, food, packed lunch option. Fellow guests sharing food such as coffee, salt and cooking oil in the self catering kitchen, wonderful gestures of kind human nature. Loved it.

It's the nature of a shared dormitory in a youth hostel, and sometimes you get lucky with the respect and courtesy of your fellow hostelers and sometimes you don't. Unfortunately on two of the 3 nights that my daughter and I stayed, we were not so lucky. Lights coming on at all hours, doors opening and closing all evening, children running around the hostel. It's part of it, I get it, You take your chances and its actually part of hostelling, I'm not moaning, but lights that automatically turn off if they are left on by inconsiderate or forgetful guests, and soft closing doors may be a minor solution. Loved my stay all the same x thank you

Nice atmosphere, friendly and clean and decent value. One member of staff helpfully left us a key for a late check in, when we were delayed - I hope we didn't wake the other guests! The breakfast the following morning was reasonable value for a family. A nice setting, worth exploring further.

Booking.com included this in a search for Morzine, our intended destination, showing it as 11 km away. Well strictly it is - but there is a mountain in the way. An hour further on alpine passes in the dark was not really what we needed at the end of a long day driving. Not the fault of the hostel, but check your searches in this area. If you are not in the correct valley they may be much further away than the straight line distance...

Right next to nature, what more could you want. Very close to Châtel bike park, ride up gently slope was worth the effort. Love the burgers 😁 Bike storage was 100 safe Chatel bike park was a surreal experience.

No croissants but everything else was good. Mattresses wasn’t as comfortable for me. Shower head. Maybe I’m being fussy 😂 Not many shops open, off season.

Breakfast was nice (only had it on our first morning), but because it is a hostel with kitchen facilities we brought food for our stay and cooked . However the kids and I did have the burgers on the first night for dinner and then insisted on them for our last night too! Good Burgers! It was also nice because I was traveling with the kids (12 and 14) I could have a beer at the end of the day in the bar and they could hang out , play games or even start getting food ready . It was a great place to stay as family.

Having to go home

The Hostel was well equipped and had a good vibe with plenty of people coming and going. The recreation area was well used and had plenty of games. The restaurant was nice but booking is needed.

Would prefer toilets in the rooms but the shared facilites were clean and were usually available.

Hostel was amazing, clean rooms and toilet/washing facilities. Great bar with a great selection of drinks. The two best bits of the whole stay were the brilliant, friendly staff and the amazing food, a burger van making delicious fresh food for a reasonable price! Would definitley stay again.

Nothing!

The little cocoons for sleeping in, great food

Location. Was a nightmare to get to from the airport (only 2 buses on a Sunday) but it was my fault for not researching first

Wow, I had an exceptional week here, its a good place :) normally i am a bit sceptic if a hostel is also a bar, it can lead to a lot of hidden costs. But here it was very nice. some locals came over for beers, you could bring your own food and drinks (non-alcoholic) from the kitchen into the bar space and it was always a very social, warm and friendly atmosphere. will be back in summer :)
