Location is perfect right on the beach with Haystock Rock right in front of you; 10 min walk to downtown Cannon Beach for restaurants and shopping and less than 5 min. walk to"mid-town" Cannon Beach with more restaurants, stores, etc. Oceanfront room worth the extra $$ - gorgeous view with a balcony. We had a suite with a separate king bedroom and pull out sofa in main room. Room had a lot of space, comfortable beds, luxurious towels, refrigerator, microwave etc. Will definitely be going back.

Only criticism, which they said they are already working on is that the TVs were not smart TVs so you could not access Netflix or Amazon - but they did offer DVDs with a long list of movies, which was kind of fun!

The most friendly and accommodating staff I have ever experienced here with my 32 years of here being on Earth! Everyone from the 4 different front desk staff to the bonfire crew that setup the s’more’s and bonfire package shortly before their cutoff window. There’s easy beach access with family accommodations to clean the feet with also being easy elderly accessible pathways.

My only very very minor complaint is the loud individuals above us, so just note that if you prefer nothing above you, book the top floor as ceiling is thin. Nothing against the stay, but just a minor detail I overlooked because it was a short notice booking.

Highly recommended - couldn't have asked for more! Great location right next to the beach and view of Haystack Rock. Free shuttle service to the town area (but actually it's just 10 minute walk away). Friendly staff and wonderful check-in process (welcome drink, free cookies). The room was in great condition with a great shower/bathtub and complete basic facilities. Many amenities including a pool. Free parking. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again next time.

Room was very nice, good amenities & comfortable. View of, & access to the beach and the super impressive Haystack Rock eas terrific, and walking around the main street, with all the beautiful flowrrs that the local folks cultivate was also a treat. On the other hand, we could easily hear activities in surrounding rooms, so not as quiet as expected, but still manageable. No hair dryer in room, but desk staff got one for us, however, it was a broken unit- oh well. The room price also seemed a bit high, though for a single night stay, was doable.

The facilities and activities provided were thoughtful and fun. There were more options than we had time to take advantage of. The nightly bonfire/s'mores, afternoon cookies, and morning treasure hunt (even though we didn't find it) were things we enjoyed everyday.

The temperature wasn't a problem with no AC but the room air would get stale very quickly with no way to move air around the room. We had some inconsiderate neighbors who would smoke outside our open window and exasperate the problem. Having a fan in the room would have really helped.

Didn't have breakfast but the cookies and snacks in the afternoon were good. Dog liked the treats which is unusual. There was some like of moter or Compressor under our room starting and running all night. Only one luggage cart in our area and it was hiding in someone's room most of the time. need more carts. Small rug would be nice for the dog to lay on.

We stayed in a room with a partial ocean view and the view was actually excellent (we were on the third floor). The location of the hotel was superb; right on the beach. We took advantage of a private bonfire experience and it was a highlight for our family. Staff was friendly and approachable. Would recommend to others staying in Cannon Beach.

The swimming pool was clean but the air was extremely hot and humid.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were on the corner and could see the ocean view. We even had baby bunnies in the morning feeding on the lawn behind the room/ We really enjoyed are stay here and recommend the resort.

Next time we will ask to get on the third floor. We had the bottom floor and had people above us who stomped around and sounded like they were running back and forth several times during the day and night.

Surfsand was an amazing resort. Our view of the ocean and Haystack Rock was so relaxing to wake up to and view throughout our stay. The beachfront patio was great, as was access to our beach, beach chairs available, nightly fires, and daily little extras, like cookies, tea, ice cream and beer and rootbeer tasting. We could easily walk to the downtown area for meals and shopping, as well as drive within 10 minutes of great hiking. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. We didn't want our room cleaned during our stay, but we're able to exchange our towels and get toiletries from the housekeeping team.

The property does say it is non smoking, but there were definately several smokers that inconsiderately smoked at entrances and on the balconies.

Our room had a view of most of the Haystack. The accessibility features of the bathroom were good. The furnishings were in very good condition. We ate out so we didn't make much use of the refrigerator, microwave or tableware. There were nice little extras such as coffee and cookies in the reception area. We were fortunate to have sunny weather during our stay.

It would have been nice to have a few coat hooks in the entryway. The room tended to get warm. When we were in the room we kept the porch door open part way to cool it off. I suspect that the fireplace pilot light was a source of the heat. It would have been helpful to have an information sheet covering the fireplace, wall heaters, television, etc.
