The location was perfect! We loved the welcome drink and the nightly bonfire on the beach with a s’more station! It was excellent that they had chairs for the beach available to use and blankets/towels to keep warm. We loved the room, bed was comfortable and the patio was a fantastic extra to elevate the room experience as ours faced a part of the beach. The tub and shower were great! (Would be nice if they offered bath bombs/bath salts) Customer service was superior! We weren’t expecting it to be so chilly and we were able to buy logo beanies at the front desk instead of having to go into town. We didn’t use the complimentary bicycles they had but if we stayed longer we would have. Overall, WONDERFUL stay!

Walls are thin so you can hear other guests at times but it was quiet at night on the resort so wasn’t bothersome. I always pack ear plugs so put those in and slept wonderfully.

We had an amazing stay at Surfsand Resort! From the moment we arrived, we felt really welcomed and taken care of. The staff was super friendly and kind, and it was such a nice surprise to get a free welcome drink at check-in! There are always hot drinks available in the lobby—hot chocolate, tea, coffee, and apple cider. Such a cozy little bonus, especially after being out in the fresh air. Our room was super clean and felt newly renovated. We loved the comfy bathrobes, the big bathtub, and the fireplace—it all made the stay extra cozy. Plus, we had a beautiful view of Haystack Rock right from our room! One of the best parts was how close the beach is—less than a 2-minute walk, which is amazing, especially with kids. We also booked the beach bonfire for $50, and it was such a fun experience. The staff set everything up and gave us everything for s’mores—sticks, marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate. It was the perfect beach night! There’s also a warm indoor pool and a hot tub on site, which our kids loved and we really enjoyed too. Honestly, this hotel feels like the most budget-friendly option in the area, but it delivers 100% and even more. Great value for the price. We stayed with our two kids and loved everything—no complaints at all. We’ll definitely be back!

Location is perfect right on the beach with Haystock Rock right in front of you; 10 min walk to downtown Cannon Beach for restaurants and shopping and less than 5 min. walk to"mid-town" Cannon Beach with more restaurants, stores, etc. Oceanfront room worth the extra $$ - gorgeous view with a balcony. We had a suite with a separate king bedroom and pull out sofa in main room. Room had a lot of space, comfortable beds, luxurious towels, refrigerator, microwave etc. Will definitely be going back.

Only criticism, which they said they are already working on is that the TVs were not smart TVs so you could not access Netflix or Amazon - but they did offer DVDs with a long list of movies, which was kind of fun!

The most friendly and accommodating staff I have ever experienced here with my 32 years of here being on Earth! Everyone from the 4 different front desk staff to the bonfire crew that setup the s’more’s and bonfire package shortly before their cutoff window. There’s easy beach access with family accommodations to clean the feet with also being easy elderly accessible pathways.

My only very very minor complaint is the loud individuals above us, so just note that if you prefer nothing above you, book the top floor as ceiling is thin. Nothing against the stay, but just a minor detail I overlooked because it was a short notice booking.

Highly recommended - couldn't have asked for more! Great location right next to the beach and view of Haystack Rock. Free shuttle service to the town area (but actually it's just 10 minute walk away). Friendly staff and wonderful check-in process (welcome drink, free cookies). The room was in great condition with a great shower/bathtub and complete basic facilities. Many amenities including a pool. Free parking. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again next time.

Room was very nice, good amenities & comfortable. View of, & access to the beach and the super impressive Haystack Rock eas terrific, and walking around the main street, with all the beautiful flowrrs that the local folks cultivate was also a treat. On the other hand, we could easily hear activities in surrounding rooms, so not as quiet as expected, but still manageable. No hair dryer in room, but desk staff got one for us, however, it was a broken unit- oh well. The room price also seemed a bit high, though for a single night stay, was doable.

Loved the staff and the extra touch of 1) robe and sand toys for my kid 2) welcome drinks 3) afternoon cookies. The staff was very friendly and helped us set up chairs by the beach. They also helped clean out the sandy area in front of our room.

The bedroom that was facing the hall way had a window that technically passerby can see through. And the curtains for that particular window was clear, so you can't even block it.

The room was very nice with a great view of the ocean off our balcony. The hotel offers different activities for guests including a nightly bonfire on the beach with s-mores which is very popular. They provide chairs and towels for use on the beach. It is also walking distance to the Cannon Beach shopping/eating main strip which offers tons of selection.

Easy access to the beach, comfortable bed, super friendly and engaging staff, options to participate in activities, nice accommodations, easy parking, felt very safe, well lit, within walking distance to everything. Overall was a phenomenal location, would stay there again if I ever get out that way in the future.

Staff was great, very accommodating we had 2 rooms and had a minor issue and they were there within 5 minutes to fix it. Room was comfortable, spacious, beds were comfortable, and view was ok. Rooms were located in building north of main building on beach our building was situated a few feet to the rear of the main one blocking view of Haystack Rock.
