Our five-day and five-night experience at Monasterio, A Belmond Hotel, Cusco was undoubtedly the most beautiful and unique part of our two-week trip to Peru! The hotel environment is elegant and beautiful, with a rich and diverse breakfast that is exquisitely delicious. I couldn't resist having a large bowl of beef broth every morning! The thoughtfully provided room oxygen and 24-hour self-service hot tea helped us quickly overcome altitude sickness and fully enjoy our trip. Additionally, the most impressive and grateful part was the hotel's sincere, thoughtful, and enthusiastic high-quality service. When we reported the noise from nearby staff working at night, the hotel manager Giuliana Garzon and front desk supervisor Miguel Leiva immediately addressed the issue. They kindly upgraded us to a deluxe suite for free to compensate for our minor inconvenience. Sunlight streamed into the room through the lush courtyard, warmly spreading over the soft and comfortable bed... Everything was so peaceful and beautiful, like a scene from a movie. The perfect rest and relaxation completely erased our travel fatigue. Tasting the delicious desserts and fragrant Inca tea sent by the hotel, I wished time could stop at that moment! During those days, manager Giuliana Garzon and front desk supervisor Miguel Leiva constantly cared for our needs, providing us with many unexpected, attentive arrangements. We spent an extremely enjoyable and unforgettable few days. They also noticed my husband's birthday and arranged a delightful Italian opera dinner for us on his special day! Everyone wished him a happy birthday, and when we returned to our room, there was a birthday cake with lit candles waiting for us! We felt so happy and cherished by the thoughtful attention! Believe me, the hotel is not just a resting place during your trip; its architecture, courtyard, facilities, and excellent service deserve to be seen as a must-visit, unique, and stunning attraction in Cusco!

nothing,everything is perfect!

Bryant the concierge was excellent and organized everything we needed around Cusco. The restaurant and food at the hotel is also excellent. Overall what makes this hotel special is the quality of the staff and the service received!

The wine selection is great but priced too high. I think the prices should be reviewed as I am sure there are customers like myself who love wine but didn’t buy from Monasterio but would have had the prices been more in line with other hotels/restaurants

The property is beautiful and the service above and beyond The room is large and well layed out Loved the oxygen in the room which really helped our altitude sickness

Given how old the building is a few things are not functioning to its fullest such as shower water fluctuating and the hot water in sink was turned off when we arrived but is a minor inconvenience given how kind and friendly and prepared everyone was to help It is quite pricy but for a short trip totally worth it

Love this historical building, and the hotel offered the daily tour to explain the history and artifacts of the hotel. Love the tour, and there was living music in the night while I was staying. Love to sit in the yard to enjoy the drink while listening to live music.

The bed and pillow was too soft and doesn't feel comfortable for me. Also, there was only one window in my room and it was next to street road, so it was inconvenient for me to ope window during the day.

I had excellent experience with the staff from checking in with Roger/Bryan to the restaurant with Antony/Wilbert/Mario/Maria/Yolanda/Ghino. The room was phenomenal and house keeping did a great job. Thursday night the ‘special restaurant’ had an opera show with dinner that was special. Excellent experience.

OMG - probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything is immaculate - building, location, breakfast, staff, services. Don't forget to visit their private church in the building. Kudos to David for very interesting organic coffee presentation. Everyting was perfect - there is not enough space here to list all positives.

Totally nothing. I wish the price was lower, but you get what you pay for :-)

Absolutely the best of everything. At this price point, guests expect perfection, and Monasterio comes awfully close to delivering.

It’s eye-wateringly expensive.

The service was very on point and the hotel’s historical courtyard is really pleasant for an end of day drink or for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was very generous with delicious food and the hotel staff is really attentive and always willing to help and ensure your stay is comfortable. The hotel also offered us an upgrade which was a very nice touch and much appreciated.

This hotel would deserve a 10 if it wasn’t for the outdated decorations in the indoor areas. The bar area has a lot of potential but it needs a revamping and the bathrooms in the rooms look outdated. we really appreciated the historical furniture in the rooms but some of the other non historical items seemed to miss the mark. we stayed at the hotel twice and would definitely recommend the rooms in the main courtyard where the chapel is.
