Excellent location, just one block from Plaza de Armas, superb restaurants within steps from the Hostel. The staff was always ready and willing to help, extremely kind and friendly. The room had all necessary facilities and comfort, plenty of hot water. Breakfast was plentiful and adequate.

The staff is very kind and helpful.The hotel has great location in the historic centre of Cusco and the room was clean. The breakfast is great and they even prepare the breakfast to go if you have a trip planed early.

Our room was facing the main street that is very noisy. We also booked all the tours at the hotel, but not all the information were accurate. Also when we got strong food poisoning and altitute sickness at the same time, we couldn't get a refound for the trip we had to cancel. No cancelation policy was mentioned, and then when we wanted to know exacly the terms it was 2 day before the trip, and then until 12 a.m. before the trip...We felt a little but scamed.

The staffs are super friendly and helpful. They treat you as their family. I felt very warm and safe there. The tours they booked for me were top notch which I really enjoyed. Restaurants, bars, shoppings and tourist offices are very close to the hotel. The Cathedral is a 4 mins walks from the apartment and main square is 3 mins walk only. Loved the juice from the breakfast buffet. It was a simple and healthy breakfast and they cook the egg for you as requested. The bed is comfortable and the room size is good enough for me. I don't feel nosy even though my room is facing the street. You can hear the music from the bar which is opposite to the hotel at night. It doesn't bother me at all but an ear plugs would save you if you a light sleeper. Will stay again definitely !!!

Excellent location, right behind the cathedral and Main Square. Within a block of bars, restaurants, nightlife, and museums. Hotel staff very professional and responsive. Room was best appointed of hotels on this trip. Multiple electric outlets. Bathroom had soap and shampoo as well as hand towels, and bath shower towel mat. Also decor was modern. Large European style windows and doors. Breakfast had many varieties of items and eggs prepared to order.

Only thing was European woman (owner?) who coughed, blew her nose, and talked a lot in breakfast room.

El Triunfo Hostel in Cusco is an exceptional place that far exceeds our expectations. From the moment we checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They were incredibly helpful, always ready to arrange tours, book taxis, and answer any questions we had about exploring the city and surrounding areas even before our arrival. I can not say the same thing about our fancy hotel in Aquas Calientes. The rooms at El Triunfo are impeccably clean and comfortable, providing a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. One of the standout features is the stunning views from the rooms, where you can enjoy breathtaking vistas of Cusco's charming rooftops and historical sites. The location of the hostel is perfect – right in the heart of Cusco. It's within walking distance to the main attractions. Despite its modest rating, El Triunfo Hostel offers services and amenities that rival those of higher-rated hotels. The friendly and attentive staff, the spotless rooms, and the unbeatable location make it a top choice for anyone visiting Cusco. I can't recommend it enough and am puzzled as to why it only has two stars. It truly is a hidden gem!

We looked at dozens of hotels in Cusco before settling on Hostal El Triunfo. It had everything we were looking for! It was the perfect place to spend our first nights in Peru. Great location less than a block from the Plaza de Armas. It was very easy to get to and from the hotel throughout the day for anything we needed in our room. The bedroom heater was warm, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was very clean. Staff was very nice and helpful, and they stored our luggage after we checked out. Great views from our room and common areas. Breakfast was nice and filling, with pastries, fruit, coffee, and made-to-order eggs. Coca and tea were available any time. Shower was hot with good water pressure. The apartment has an in-room washing machine which worked great. There is no dryer in the room, but there was a clothes drying rack and there are laundromats nearby.

We stayed during the Inti Raymi festival so there was a bit of noise from the surrounding area, but we expected that and it wasn't enough to be a real problem. The noise was worth it to be so close to the festivities.

We were in the apartment which was very spacious for the 2 of us and had great views. The staff were lovely, we got our laundry done quickly and cheaply. Great location a few steps away from the main square, lots of lovely places to eat and drink. The staff also organised the taxi for us. There was a basic breakfast but we didn’t take it on the mornings we were there.

The noise from the nearby Irish Bar can be a bit noisy in one of the bedrooms, some ear plugs sorted that out.

Very centrally located, 2 min walk to main square. Felt very safe and clean for our family. Some of these reviews are outdated because you do not need to enter through a shop...the hotel has its own entrance from the street and there was a front desk staff present 24/7, all very friendly and helpful! We use a white noise machine at night and the street noise wasn't a problem for us. They sell large (huge!!) bottles of water for 5 soles that can serve a family for 2 days.

We rented apartment unit upstairs for our family and the apartment was very comfortable with 2 bedrooms and family/kitchen room. We stayed 3 nights. The view from the window we had competing with the best views we had throughout our journeys, which says a lot! Excellent location! Each bedroom has a heater, but the heater is pretty weak, takes a long time to get temperature in the room comfortable in July in mountains.

The to the hotel gets closed around 9 pm, you need to call to get it. Sometimes the response is fast, sometimes not too fast...

Very new facilities. Spacious room, good size double beds. Balcony with mountain view. Very clean. Soft and thick towels provided. Hot shower. Good locations close to the shops and restaurants. This was the cleanest hotel we stayed in Peru in last 2 weeks and the best valued one.

No electrical kettle, no fridge, no hair dryer. But this is quite normal in Peru. As we stayed for 3 nights, we bought an electrical kettle from a local variety shop for us$8, so we could have a tea in the room in the morning.
