We had a lovely meal at the hotel on the last night. Breakfast also very nice with a few choices except the buffet bar.

The shower unit in our en-suite room was small and no caddy/shelf in the shower to put my bottles on…it was a bit of a nuisance where to put things. The breakfast buffet table was very sparse…4 sets of cereals, fruit juice, milk and water and that’s it. I tend to eat fresh fruit with my breakfast every day, so I really missed it. They did a very nice compote on the menu (my only choice if I did not want a full cooked breakfast), with granola, yogurt and some thawed frozen fruit, but for me I would have also like to see fresh fruit choices on the buffet bar, maybe even some yoghurts.

The staff were fabulous and very helpful. They went the extra mile. My daughter’s room was in a recently refurbished part of the hotel and her room was lovely. It was good to have a coffee machine in my room. The food was excellent and good value.

It was fine and my room was nicely decorated but there was no hot water in the tap in the bathroom and the bathroom felt a bit tired. I guess you just haven’t got round to updating all the rooms. I would have liked a kettle for my tea but I managed to work out how to make tea with the coffee machine. It was nice to have a proper coffee machine so it was okay. The WiFi was poor but the staff were aware and said it was a problem with Openreach.

Wrangham House is an old Vicarage in the Town of Hunmanby, and has loads of Character (It's a grade 2 listed building, so don't expect it to be modern!). The Owners, Peter and Stacie, are fantastic hosts, always ready to chat and provide advice, and as a bonus, Peter is a Michelin trained Chef, and the food (for both dinner and breakfast) is outstanding. I recommend that you try his cooking at least once. We chose Wrangham House for its location, being close to a few places that we wanted to visit, and it proved to be a good base, It's not cheap, but the value for money was good when you factor in the pleasure of staying in such a historic building and the skills of the hosts. You don't get that in an air B&B! Recommended.

Really creaky floor in our room! (but it's a very old property)

We had a spacious suite with plenty of room to store our stuff. The rooms were kept very clean, with bottled water left for us every day. The owners were very friendly and helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The food was delicious and fresh, both at breakfast and dinner.

I was not keen on using the coffee maker as a kettle, as I like my tea really hot! The dodgy wifi was a minor irritation, but it is possible to get a good connection in the public rooms in the main building.

The owner was lovely. very chatty and accommodating. Unfortunately a younger staff member the night before was less welcoming with customer service. The breakfast was great and the owner filled our flasks which was lovely. The bed was super comfy and room was lovely. The family members of our group enjoyed their stay.

Just the initial welcome from a staff member, it was very difficult to get her attention and seemed disinterested, her mind seemed elsewhere. The rest of the staff and owner lovely.

The location and parking were excellent. The breakfast was good and just the right amount. We didn't have an evening meal so I can't comment on that one.

The heating in the room was very poor. There weren't any instructions as to what to do in the event of a fire. There weren't any instructions on how to use the tea and coffee machine nor the TV. The shower took forever to become hot (I think the hot water must have come from Scarborough) and the shower flow was fairly pathetic. We did have to turn up the TV in order to drown out the snoring from the room above, not to mention the sounds of them getting up and taking a shower!! Thankfully there weren't any other noises!!

The king suite bathroom was a dream and the whole place was spotless! Stacie added balloons and champagne in the room as requested for me for my partners birthday. Lovely grand building

As we were the only ones staying over the restaurant/bar didn’t have much atmosphere but appreciate our stay was out of season so sure this would be better when more people were staying.

Booked the Wrangham House as we were going to see Sting at the Scarborough open air theatre. Lovely building, friendly staff and great location in the village. Has its own fully stocked bar and restaurant. The full English breakfast was perfect. Close to the church and, while it may not be to everyone’s taste, the bells toll every quarter hour which took me back to simpler times. Wonderful surprise as the room had a four poster bed. An hours walk to Filey through countryside and along the beach. Perfect weekend getaway

Has a Dolce Gusto coffee machine in the room but no kettle so making a cup of tea was a challenge

Our room was exceptional. We were in a relatively new building and the facilities were excellent. We had the whole first floor to ourselves consisting a large bedroom and huge bathroom. The evening meal was really good as was the breakfast. We would certainly consider this hotel if we stay in the area again.

The stairs were steep and narrow and while this did not bother us others may wish to specify the ground floor. Getting large suitcases up and down might be a struggle. That said it's worth if for the rooms.

Nice spacious room very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and the food both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Piebald Inn and the Horseshoes, both in the village, are good alternatives for an evening meal

Steep spiral staircase to coach house rooms 3 & 4 which was not mentioned when booking. This could cause problems for guests with mobility issues, with pets or with larger items of luggage. Storage space would benefit from some drawer space.
