Free parking in front. Did have to move vehicle a few times during day to get closer spot, when they became free. Greeted on arrival and shown to our lovely room. Bathroom was generous, but if you are slightly larger toilet was in a tight spot. Plenty of toiletries. Lovely stock of tea, coffee and daughter was very happy with the hot chocolate. Beds very comfortable. Lounge was lovely, especially in the morning having our breakfast, sun shining through the window, the view and having our dog enjoying a sausage. Breakfast was great. Cooked to perfection. Pastries, fruit, yoghurt & granola, fresh juice...a great start to the day. Walks just over the road to beautiful gardens and amazing views.

Annoying people coming in early hours. Using lounge. As we were next door we could hear conversations and cupboard being opened to access drinks, bottles being knocked against wall. Our dog was very upset during the night with this, which disturbed us. Nothing wrong with Mansion House and not their fault, but maybe if people have sensitive pets or have difficulty sleeping this room should have warning or the option to change on booking.

What an absolute fantastic hotel, Brilliant staff, Breakfast was exceptional. I took my 3 teenager's who are all fussy eaters and the staff went above and beyond. Especially Mark, he personally made sure every morning my son got exactly what he wanted for breakfast. The Mansion house is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed, it's remarkably clean, beautifully vintage with a modern spin. Absolutely perfect. Laz the owner is a true gentleman and couldn't of done more. Thank you too Laz and his team you made our stay wonderful, you helped create a family memory we won't forget ❤️ we will be back.

The stairs were a struggle for 3 whinging teenagers but I quite enjoyed the work out 😁

Before arrival the hosts sent an email explaining how to get there, what to do to gain entry and parking which we found really helpful and were spot on. When we entered our room (room 5) I was struck by the amazing view from, we were promised a sea view and it was that and more. The room was very clean and had all the necessaries we needed, including a fridge, a fresh bottle of water (not the plastic sort) and a Dyson hot/cold air blower (definitely needed as the temperature was over 28 degrees outside. On our way out for dinner I did have to ask the host to fix our toilet seat which had come off and by the time we returned it was all fixed. The breakfast was included in the price of the room and it was absolutely delicious with a great menu choice and lots of cereals, pastries, fruit and yoghurts on offer too. I can not fault the Mansion House for location, value for money and breakfast. If we visit Scarborough again then the Mansion House will be our go to accommodation.

Everything was just perfect

The beautifully decorated ground floor family room that we were provided with was amazing - Spacious with plenty of room for a family of four, with a large dog, plenty of storage space, the room was immaculate and we particularly loved having a fridge in the room, as well as a Dyson fan. We loved the perfectly cooked breakfasts, the friendly welcome from Mark, Cath and the girls, the help yourself layout for some of the breakfast items, the choice for breakfast and the presentation, the attentive staff - everything was fantastic! The option to use the beautiful lounge as well as the Honesty bar, Brilliant! We also appreciated all the information on offer, especially the dog folder (thank you to the doggies and thier owners for the recommendations). We also loved the location, the peace and quiet, the South Cliff gardens and the Italian Gardens just opposite were idea for dog walks early in the morning and last thing at night and it being only just a short walk to the beach and near lovely eateries such as Farrers was an added bonus! The patio garden out front with the beautiful view! We had an amazing stay and would wholeheartedly recommend the Mansion House. We can not wait to return!

There wasn't anything not to like really, except parking was very busy, but we still always managed to find a spot very close by. The birds were a little chatty in the morning, but that can't be helped, so we'd keep our windows closed next time! This was in Room 21, but in Room 1 we never heard them. We didn't like having to leave! Such a lovely break.

The Great Escape Apartment exceeded our expectations, exceptionally clean, high standard of decor and furniture throughout the apartment. Extremely well equipped kitchen with tea/coffee/sugar/milk. Bedding, pillows, beds so comfy. 2 double bedrooms (one with gorgeous on-suite) lovely family bathroom (shower gels/soaps/fluffy towels/slippers and bathrobes provided) Cream carpets throughout, so clean and luckily remained clean. Double sofa bed in front room, with brilliant views on waking. Chilled prosecco a lovely touch, plenty of glasses, crockery and cutlery, including pots and pans. Views amazing, gorgeous bay window. Lovely quiet apartment, probably a 20 minute walk into the town/beach area. Ample parking on the road outside or near to the hotel. Will definitely return, 100% recommend the apartment in this hotel.

Everything was beyond perfect, but please get some different place mats, small and large, the wooden ones are warped and nothing sits right on them, you will end up with spillages on that gorgeous carpet. Anyone would love this apartment, thank you.

Warm welcome, clean and tidy. Very friendly staff. Good choose of breakfast freshly cooked every morning. Fantastic location near to almost all the places I intend to go with the grandkids. The kids had a wonderful time. The garden is beautiful... I loved it so much I asked if I could extend my stay for 2 extra nights but it was fully booked out. I will be definitely staying there again. Thanks to all the lovely staffs and managers.

Location on the edge of town suited us as we like peace and quiet. Just a short walk into town and lovely sea view. High ceilings, clean and comfortable and lovely big bay window with comfy sofas in our apartment. Such a luxury to have our own apartment with 2 teenage boys and still be looked after with an amazing cooked breakfast.

I don’t think we’d be back having heard the owner expressing his ‘anti woke’ beliefs in a public area. For us, this covers racism and misogyny and I suspect it was thoughtless rather than nasty. But he was very confident about it and as parents of 2 teenage boys learning about the world I wouldn’t feel comfortable returning there.
