The room whilst having horrific wallpaper was immaculate with a very comfortable bed. On last day I asked for a late check out, a quick £10 tip top staff (they asked for £5 meant i could stay in the room until 6pm. Wonderful given I'd been out until 6am on the lash. Breakfast was absolutley fantastic and served until 11, great for anyone out till late the night before.

TV wasn't working (simple fix, but took a couple of days to fix)

Very poor Wi-Fi signal and TV kept breaking up

the fact there was a bar so of an evening we could all meet up for a drink and not have to worry avoid a designated driver or parking the car.

parking was awful. no private parking and with it being a busy weekend we often found when we returned back to the hotel we couldn't park up and ended up driving round trying to find somewhere. we also had to pay for the parking permit! the kitchen staff couldn't get easy requests right, we ordered chili topped chips and got cheesy chips. the chicken medley came without the chips it started on the menu. the lift was only tiny could only really fit 1 person in at a time, especially if you had luggage!

Very clean and friendly place to stay. Nice rooms comfy bed and a lovely Breakfast close to town and beach etc. Very good value and would recommend it.

the room was ideal, well decorated bed comfortable. i enjoyed the cereal fruit and toast i had for breakfast.

THE CABERET IN THE EARLY HOURS. at 00.30 am Wednesday morning i was woken by 2 men and one loud mouthed woman shouting in the corridor outside my room , i think they went into the next bedroom for 30 minutes before i heard a door opposite slam and the lift move. on Thursday at 1am it was one man and the woman. not shouting this time but they woke me. this time i got up and banged the wardrobe door , they stopped 5 minutes later. i decided to leave a day early. i am an old man and realise now i need to stay at home. 2 days later i am still very tired

I arrived at 10:30 am and the room was ready so I was able to check in. The staff gave me a very warm welcome and were most friendly and helpful. The breakfast and bar food were excellent and good value for money. The room was a small double and was most comfortable apart from the barstool type chair which was extremely wobbly. The hotel staff were happy to give me lots of extra milk for coffee.

The wobbly chair and the shower drained poorly so probably needs some unblocker down the system. This was in room 216.

The hotel is currently undergoing extensive renovations, which is worth bearing in mind when booking. That said, it is clearly a major project, and I commend the management team for undertaking it. My room was spacious, very clean, and equipped with all the expected amenities. One small suggestion would be to provide individually wrapped teabags rather than keeping them loose in a tin, as this would feel more hygienic. The bed was spotless and extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent—outstanding value at only around £8, with a wide range of options. It may well be the best breakfast I’ve had in Scarborough, a definite 10/10. The staff were equally impressive: professional, friendly, and attentive. For such a large hotel, the service really stood out and deserves full marks. Bonus for this hotel, great bar, good size and servies food. Good addition to your stay.

Lovely little hotel, like a blast from the past! Decor a little outdated but it was pleasant and the staff were really friendly. Our double room was basic but serviceable and I wouldn't complain as it fit the budget friendly price. The cleanliness was acceptable, the sink, toilet, shower, floors and bed were all very clean so I was happy. We had the breakfast a few times and it was great value. A beautiful fry. There is no housekeeping during the day but we didn't need it, however the maids were very friendly when I asked for some more milk pots and extra towels were no problem. Would stay again.

The curtains were a little light so the room wasn't so dark so I would bring an eye mask just in case.
