This is a very nice hotel in the perfect location. The room is nice and the bed very comfortable. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I can really recommend this hotel. The pool and sauna facility is brilliant. Sure it could do with a bit of updating but that really is no issue at all. Everything works really well. I particularly liked the two Swedish saunas and the ice shower room. Nice touch!

I did not like the spa opening hours. I enjoy going for a swim after getting up at 6am but I had to wait until 8am on Saturday and until 9am on Sunday. By that time the pool was already full with people and kids. That’s not great and I missed out on swimming on this holiday therefore.

Above all, the staff. Everyone we met was cheerful, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, with a great view and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was good (bread rolls as well as sliced bread would have been nice though). We ate in the restaurant one evening and really enjoyed our meals. Bar prices and car park charges were reasonable. The spa area was lovely, with a large hot tub, 2 saunas, steam room and ice cave as well as the swimming pool, and the gym was extremely well-equipped. It's not too far to walk into town if the weather is good.

I'd recommend taking your own hairdryer - the one in the room was hopeless. There was quite a strong draught from the bedroom window and the showers in the spa area aren't very warm

The room was extremely spacious and had a wonderful view of the coast. The room included a dining table, sofa, 2 arm chairs and a vanity desk in addition to an incredibly comfortable bed! All convenience items included in the room without having to ask - Iron, hairdryer, ironing board, safe, kettle, mini fridge etc. Smart TV was a plus - could watch Netflix, TV players etc at ease. Mood lighting options in both the room and bathroom was a nice touch. Pool area wasn't overly busy during our visit. Jacuzzi also very spacious, so there was always space. Towels provided on entrance to the spa and lockers are free in the changing rooms. Hairdryers and swimwear dryers provided in the changing rooms also for free. Passed the gym equipment on the way to the pool - looked to be a very well equipped modern gym. Staff provided a birthday card and chocolates for my husband, which was a lovely gesture and nice surprise.

Lock on bathroom door was broken and the door wouldn't shut properly unless you really gave it some force.

The fifth floor room was spacious and had good facilities such as a fridge in the room. The hotel's location is great and we had paid extra for a sea view which was very nice. We were able to walk into Scarborough centre and there was no need for any taxis during our visit.

There are some areas of the hotel which are in need of refurbishment. The window frames in our room were in poor condition from weathering and let in rain & wind. Some light bulbs needed replacing and there had been a historic leak in the floor above leading to water stains on the ceiling. None of these spoiled our stay but need attention to maintain the hotel's appeal.

me and my boyfriend loved the pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub and ice cave facilities. my boyfriend also loved the gym area which had everything you could possibly want in a gym. we loved that you could use the pool facilities after check out, we fully took advantage of the sauna and steam room :) the breakfast was lovely with lots of choice

the pool was very shallow, would’ve been nice if it was a bit deeper, an outdoor hot tub would have been lovely too. the building was quite old and outdated but still a lovely hotel. the pool area was quite old fashioned too but it was never a problem at all for us. would have been helpful if there was labels on the juices at breakfast :)

Location and views were outstanding. Room very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and nicely cooked full English. Supper was delicious! Professional service. Staff were lovely, so polite and thoughtful. So pleased we reserved a parking space in the hotel car park. Parking isn't easy on the streets on a busy bank holiday weekend! It was our second time staying at the Crown Spa Hotel and we will definitely return!

Shower was fitted in the ceiling so couldn't shower without ruining my hairdo! Had a bath instead! 😁

A Memorable Stay at the Crown Hotel, Scarborough My recent stay at the Crown Hotel in Scarborough was truly delightful. The hotel managed to surprise me with its unique and charming rooms. The innovative use of space in each room was impressive, creating cozy and comfortable accommodations. The staff at the Crown Hotel were exceptional. Their professionalism and helpfulness were evident throughout our stay. They were always willing to assist with any queries or requests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. The hotel's dining options were equally impressive. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, from a traditional full English breakfast to lighter continental options, cereals, and fresh fruit. The dinner menu was equally enticing, featuring a selection of well-prepared and beautifully presented dishes. The relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices made dining at the hotel a pleasant experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the excellent facilities, particularly the fully equipped gym. The inclusion of a swimming pool, sauna, and steam room was a fantastic bonus, especially as it was complimentary with our hotel stay. The spa facilities were also top-notch, offering a range of professional treatments to suit every need. While there were a few minor drawbacks, the overall experience at the Crown Hotel was exceptional. I was thoroughly satisfied with my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Scarborough.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, from the receptionist to the Spa staff. The room was a joy to be in- the perfect retreat, with everything I needed. Loved the soft relaxing lighting in the bathroom too- a nice touch. I thoroughly enjoyed quietly using the Spa, taking time to relax and unwind at my own pace. The facilities were excellent.

A family ignoring the rules about children under 16 not using the Spa tub early on Saturday morning. Luckily I'd already enjoyed some quiet time on my own there so disappeared to the Sauna and Steam section which thankfully the family didn't follow me into!

Friendly and helpful staff. Staff went out of the way to assist. Ii cant praise them enough for all the help they gave. Good sized and comfortable room and would have been exceptional if the bathroom had not had a leaking tap, which kept flooding the floor and required towels being put down all the time to keep it dry in places so we could walk around. They sent maintenance to repair it, but it needed parts, so the only other option was to turn off the water in the bathroom!

Dinning arrangements. The dining room was split into three separate rooms, one of which was upstairs. As my husband needs to use a walker, climbing stairs using one is not recommended. The breakfast, which had a very good choice, was unfortunately located in the upstairs section. They did offer us seating in the downstairs room, but that meant I would have to go twice upstairs and carry the hot food and drinks down again.

Amazing view from our room, lovely clean room and bathroom. We didn’t use the spa. We liked the fact that we could park immediately in front of the hotel for checking in and were then able to park behind the hotel in the car park (against a fee).

Breakfast was very disappointing. The service personnel were not attentive and had to be told by guests on two occasions to fill up the food. The fruit to put on yoghurt was not fresh but frozen and was inedible because it was blocks of ice and still frozen. There was a large choice of foods from English breakfast to continental. I found the breakfast room a bit small and poky and it didn't really match the quality of the rooms.
