The property is out of this world, one of the most amazing hotels I have ever stayed in. The swimming pool is to die for, grounds beautiful and the beach amazing too. The property is surrounded by beautiful trees and palms, the rooms spacious and comfortable.

The food selections is fine, but somewhat limited in choices. Some days we were told that a certain item had simply run out, or not available which was disappointing. The staff are perhaps a bit ‘too keen’ at clearing plates as soon as one has finished eating.

The Staff are very helpful and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. The Beach was very clean. The Kitchen staff also very well trained and helpful. Breakfast was adequate. Beach Staff was very helpful

For our second visit to Passikudah we chose Anantaya Resort and we couldn't have chosen better. From the first moment to the end we were looked after by the friendly staff, especially Rishopana and Kanogitha. We booked this resort for a room with direct access to the pool and we were lucky to get perhaps the nicest room. But what makes this resort special is the people who work here. We also spoke with the friendly beach/pool attendant S. and likewise the waiters and cooks at breakfast and dinner did everything they could to make the guests happy. Excellent Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner. My husband was delighted that the waiters here could spin a beer with a foam cap. The room was very nice and clean. The pool was cleaned regularly too. Free sunbeds on the beach. Beautiful beach and walks. If we had not booked another stay before, we would have stayed longer. We will definitely be back here soon!

Everything was great

A good resort by the beach with well equipped and furnished rooms, large swimming pool, great open park, good food, and, important: nice, friendly, efficient and service oriented team. Nice landscapes and views. A relaxing atmosphere, a place where you want to stay more time.

Our only comment would be wait for food when ordered from the a la carte menu or room service. Buffet is obviously instant and hot beverages came quickly with breakfast. But if ordering off a menu, the food took a long time to arrive (talking an hour!) Spa needs updating. Also better signage. Otherwise lovely.

beautiful hotel, wonderful pool, great rooms. pool barman was exceptional! nice calm beach. loved it all!

dinners and service to be improved. overpriced in comparisson to other hotels next. a lot of extremely impolite russian tourists during our visit which made our stay uncomfortable (not hotel fault of course, but some issues were related to hotel staff as well).

A la care menu.. I was disappointed with the see food grill it was too much grilled and there was nothing to eat and no crab cutter provided. It’s not worth for the money.

The staff was amazing. They were very friendly and they even prepared a complimentary birthday table for me. Highly recommended!
