The hiking was amazing providing beautiful views and great opportunities to reconnect with nature and disconnect from the busy nature of everyday life. We ate at the cafe in the morning for a quick breakfast and coffee. The hot tub is big enough to feel comfortable if others are there… nice and big. The bar was a great place to unwind eat some really good food or completely let loose. Both happened and both were amazing.

It was dry and they had humidifiers but there was water in them already. Seemed unsanitary to us.

Friendly staff. Dominiq was exceptionally, helpful, friendly and we loved him! Jen who did our free guided nature walk was also exceptionally, knowledgeable, friendly and a joy to hand out with. Check was smooth and friendly to. Gondola and chair lift experience out of this world!!!

1. Coffee shop staff didn’t seem to have a clue about where things were. They were not at all organized when they opened to the public at 8:00am. Long line up with snails pace workers. 2. While I was being served, the barista stopped to answer a phone call and proceeded to complete that phone order with no regard to leaving me stranded and left to wait till she was going to get off the phone. Very rude and frustrating. My first coffee had been poured but, as I said, left waiting for the three other hot drinks. Unfortunately sometimes the small details can marr a good thing. I could have overlooked it if there had been a friendlier interaction but that was not the case. Finally a sweet Chinese girl took over and completed our order. It was appreciated.

The location is unbeatable—right inside the park and next to the lift that takes you to stunning trails, meadows, and glacial lakes. You need to take a gondola up to get there, and during the ride, we saw mountain goats—a very unique and memorable experience. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer breathtaking mountain views, and the hot tub and sauna are a perfect treat after a long day of hiking. The staff are friendly, professional, enthusiastic about nature, and very helpful. We loved the daily ranger-led walks and the s’mores and campfire activities hosted by the hotel. The gym is excellent, and the beds, robes, and towels are all high quality. The shower has great water pressure, and the balcony was one of our favorite spots—perfect for a picnic while taking in the mountain scenery. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

The space felt a bit cramped for a party of six. The unit only provides a mini fridge, which can be limiting for families or longer stays. A kitchenette and a separate bedroom would add both convenience and comfort by improving privacy and sleep quality.

Parking at the bottom of the mountain to catch the gondola ride up to the hotel was an experience. I liked that the whole system of checking in was smooth and easy once you understood what to do. Parking the car was straight forward although would benefit with better, clearer parking signs for tired travellers. I liked the free shuttle service that runs regularly into the town of Banff. I loved the ease of access to the many well sign posted walks, seeing the Mountain Goats & Gophers along the way. It is truly beautiful staying here in the summer (July) and we loved every minute of it, having come from the Calgary Stampede it was just what we needed.

Mosquitoes but thankfully your shop had all the sprays and creams !

This ski resort hotel located high on the mountain only accessible through the lift is an absolute treat when done in summertime. The location is so special the whole family started the enjoyment from entering the gondola. Breathtaking views whilst you go to the hotel. Down at the gondola station you are welcomed by the reception and directed to reserved parking spaces. The room was a loft suite and we stayed as a family of 4. We enjoyed the large hot tub. Had a good dinner at the local restaurant and breakfast in the morning. Included is a trip to the top via the open ski lift and the family had a very good morning tour from the hotel by James before breakfast. Luggage is offered to be taken all the way up for you but we opted to keep it with us.

As the local pub is a apres ski bar it does have the smell to go with that. In winter during apres ski I don’t mind but during summer this was a bit much. But that is being picky. All is good at this place.

The staff was wonderful. All extremely helpful, answered our questions, provided great service, and took care of our requests on any issue we encountered. The Mad Trapper in the Village was a great restaurant with great service and food. The gondola rides up and down from the parking to the lodge every day was amazing and relaxing.

The Chimney restaurant in the lodge. Unfortunately, the food was terrible, and we were charged for someone else's meal that was more costly than ours. I was tired, did not pay attention to the itemized bill, and having pasta that was inedible, I was in too much of a hurry to just get out of the venue.

We had a great time. It was in a central location to get to all the places we wanted to see and visit. There were things to do around the resort, restaurants and coffee. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

That the gondola stopped at 6pm, forcing us to use the shuttle. At times we had to wait a bit for it to arrive or if there were many people waiting, we had to wait for more shuttles to come. Also, for the mornings, they only take 5-7 reservations so if you want to start your day early and there are no spots, you are stuck and can't get down until an available time. They need to have either bigger shuttles or more running during busy times.

I loved the location up in Sunshine Meadows. The hotel and room was nicer then expected for a ski hotel. Very clean and nice finishings. Restaurant in hotel was great.

The bed could have been a better quality- it had a little bit of sagging in the middle. I also paid more for mountain view only to realize this is the more noisy side with a fire pit right outside our room and the lift running early in the morning. Next time pick the waterfall view- it would have been a quieter choice. Wish the hot tub was open a little later...

Excellent setting. Located just outside the town of Banff, they provide a unique stat experience on top of a hill. Their staff is indeed diverse with representation from many countries and were great to talk to. The room was spacious with a balcony, perfect to catch the sunset with a cup of tea.

Maybe having a safe in the room would help. The place has a lot of international visitors, so having a safe where they can lock their valuables before heading out to hike would be great.

All staff were very friendly and accommodating. Located at Ski Resort ~2,500 ft higher than Banff, so cooler than the heat Banff experienced (90°). Chair lift is open for walk/hikes to scenic alpine lakes. If you like nature and being away from tourist hustle that Banff has become, this is a great option.

This is not a negative, but simply a factor. The ski resort/lodge is approx. 2,500 ft in elevation gain from the parking lot, and lodge access is available by Gondola 8a-6p from that parking lot, and 6p-11p by lodge shuttle at regular intervals. If you need a lift up or down at different times, you need to reserve them. It is pretty cool to take a Gondola to the lodge, but keep in mind you may be taking different modes of transport and the off hours transport (11p-8a) needs a reservation. Just to keep in mind.
