Room was nice although very small. The location is great with just a short walk to the main street of Banff and all its shops. Staff were very helpful and friendly. After having an issue with the toilet in our room staff were very accommodating and were happy to move us to another room - which was very much appreciated. It also has a great common kitchen area with lots of fridge and freezer space for guests and also thoughtful baskets in cubbyholes where guests can keep any food or drink items they wish during their stay.

It is a little noisy with a lot of traffic -but that can't be helped. Beds were a little uncomfortable.

Fantastic location, a quick walk just across the bridge from the town centre and with free off-street parking. The reception staff were efficient, friendly and helpful and made us feel most welcome. Our room was spacious, clean and simple and provided everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was practical and well equipped with enough utensils/facilities for food preparation. Overall the hotel certainly represents great value for money and we would definitely stay again if we were to return to Banff.

Only a small issue really but the bed in our room was up against the wall and there was only one bedside reading lamp; however, for a couple of nights it was not a problem.

The hotel is well-situated and within an easy walk to downtown Banff. The room was very basic but it was comfortable, clean, and had mostly everything I needed. The price was very reasonable, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

The signage for hotel is not overly visible and I drove right by it. When I doubled back, I saw the YWCA name but I didn't see it when I first drove by (including the street address). It's always nice to have coffee and tea in a room which is not provided but they do have complimentary beverages in the morning in the lobby and there is a fully outfitted kitchen that guests can also use, downstairs.

The staff were lovely. The walk into town was so nice, you get to take in the scenery. It’s maybe a 5 min walk, there’s a local bus stop outside if you didn’t want to make the journey by foot.

The room didn’t have a fridge so I felt as though I had to eat out more. The bathroom was okay, but looked as though it needed a thorough clean and some repairs. There was no inside lock on the door, you are just to assume it locks when you close it which doesn’t give much piece of mind. The rooms felt way too hot and there was no way to change the temperature.

Great location right next to the bow river and town center and Cascade of Time Gardens. Fully stocked and clean communal kitchen and food storage options. Staff were consistently friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. Everything was very clean and housekeeping was great

Central heat couldn't be turned off and warm days took a while for the rooms to cool down. A fan would go a long way, but cool water and open windows meant I was always able to get comfortable eventually

The location is absolutely the BEST! You take a very short walk into the town, a walking trail is immediately behind the hotel, the location was quiet. We had an amazing view! If you need to take a bus, the locations to get on and off are very convenient. The room was quite large. Though there was no tv, we were fine without it and we had a private washroom. The bed was quite satisfactory, especially when you take into consideration that the price was completely budget friendly.

Simple, clean, comfortable rooms, only a few minutes walk from the main street area - all the perks of a central location minus the busyness and noise! The front desk staff were super helpful and even printed out an important document for me. The communal kitchen was clean and well-stocked, and the hotel had a very friendly atmosphere overall. I heard lots of strangers chatting about their trips in the communal spaces, and it made it feel very homey!

This is a great hotel! It becomes a home from home, a great balance between hotel and hostel with a large kitchen which is kept super clean, as is the shared bathrooms. Staff are super friendly and helpful, everything is super clean with housekeeping regularly checking in. No complaints :) the free coffee each morning is a huge perk!!

excellent location just across from the gardens and next to the river, less than 5 minute walk from town centre, bus stop right out the front. Parking on site (subject to space availability), kitchen and great shared bathroom facilities.

No fans or air conditioning. Our room was so hot (in mid October when it's cold already) and only by opening both windows and curtains to let the breeze in were we able to cool it down.

The Banff YWCA exceeded my expectations. I stayed for 2 weeks as a solo traveller. For me, a luxury hotel is not important as I prefer to be out exploring and just needed a place to lay my head that was budget friendly. The room was very basic but clean and comfy. There’s a full size fridge and microwave for guests to use in lobby, ice machine and Coinamatic laundry facilities. The location is perfect, right beside the river and just a short walk across the pedestrian bridge to downtown. Staff was excellent as well.
