View from our hotel room was stunning, picture window view over Banff to the snowcapped mountains. Highly recommend taking an upgrade to get a room with the view, it stretched our budget, but definitely worth it. Room was comfortable and very clean. The food in the bistro restaurant was excellent, and staff were helpful and friendly (especially Carolina on Reception). The Spa was great also.

Wish there was a small cafe, or somewhere on site to buy snacks and supplies (eg milk for tea, fruit). We had to stock up in Banff, which is a short drive away (but can take time when Banff streets are busy). There was some noise from the freeway immediately below the hotel, but it didn't bother us, and the exceptional views more than made up for it. Highly recommend, we would stay there again if ever back over in Canada.

Even though the hot tube was public, it wasn't really crowded, we went 3 times and we were max 5 people inside. Views were great from the tube, the guest service (front desk) was great! We loved that the hotel had ice-cleats, snowshoes, bicycles and many things you can use for free for nature activities.

Our room didn't have night tables, which at some point are needed to store small things, it didn't have good lightning, just 1 lamp in the corner, but the closet was totally dark, we needed to use our phone flashlights to hang the jackets in the closet. The bathroom was a bit small, we were waiting more for the room spacing and distribution.

We had an amazing stay at Junipter Hotel! The interior has been completely renovated and is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We stayed in a mountain-view room and it was absolutely stunning—highly recommend choosing one, you won’t regret it. One of the highlights was the hot tub and the hotel’s Bistro, where we enjoyed an incredible brunch and had dinner twice—it was fantastic each time. The food, ambiance, and service were top-notch. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. As a bonus, we spotted many deer around the property, which added a magical touch to the whole experience. I couldn’t recommend this place more! Can’t wait to come back.

Our stay at The Juniper Hotel & Bistro was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking mountain views that surround the hotel. Waking up to such a stunning landscape was an experience in itself! One of the absolute highlights was the outdoor jacuzzi—soaking in warm, bubbling water while admiring the panoramic view of the mountains was pure magic. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The Bistro at The Juniper was another standout feature. The food was exceptional, and we were particularly impressed by their 5-course tasting menu for just $55 CAD (or $90 CAD with perfectly paired alcoholic beverages). Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor—a true culinary delight!

Staff and facilitators were good. Others like our male server on New years were great. Great cocktails, we loved the hot brie dish. Other food in the restaurant was nice but pricey, which meant we only ate there once.

No shuttle service into/back from banff after 6 pm, meant driving was unavoidable when going out for meal. Bar closed at 10pm even on New Years - missed opportunity to make the night special for guests. The room we had on first night was not soundproof, and the couple next door, having a huge fight, wasn't ideal. We were moved, and the next room didn't seem as bad sound prrof wise?

Juniper Hotel made our first wedding anniversary very special! First of all Emre was very welcoming he upgraded our booking to a King Valley Suite, he made sure we are aware of all amenities and facilities in the hotel and bistro. Kerim was kind enough to drive us to downtown and back, great and chill man. Finally we had a great laugh with Judson who also took great care of us during our two night stay. The suite was clean, spacious and the Jacuzzi in the bathroom was amazing! We have no comments on our stay, will definitely come back next spring! Thanks a lot Juniper Hotel.

Nothing!

The hotel has a nice mid-century modern vibe and blends well with the magnificent mountain scenery. The bistro offers convenient dining on premises. The views from our room and the deck were awesome. It is an easy car trip into the town of Banff. Recommend you use the free parking near the train station and then explore the town on foot.

The hotel is just off the main highway, so road noise is a constant, even through the middle of the night. In addition the air conditioning unit in our room rattled the ceiling panels in our bathroom. Ear plugs are highly recommended if you want to get some sleep. A vent grating in our bathroom ceiling needed cleaning.

This is a perfectly situated hotel just on the outskirts of Banff therefore calm and quiet with outstanding views of Rundle and other mountains for the rooms facing east. The staff couldn't be nicer and the decor is a perfect blend between minimalism and a museum-like quality with their installations about the history of the area. There is a highly rated restaurant on premises which we will try on our next visit. I think we have found our perfect getaway from Calgary

Nothing, it was perfect

I have stayed at the Juniper before, and this time I requested a specific location as my husband is a light sleeper. They were able to accommodate our requests. It's peaceful and serene, the ultimate Banff hidden gem but best if you have a car as it's on the opposite side of the Trans Canada highway. The rooms are starting to feel a little dated but they are clean and in good condition with a nice selection of coffee and local teas. The bistro is amazing, we often drive here from Calgary just for dinner. The Bistro staff are wonderful and there is a romantic vibe. Cocktails are incredible. Great patio in the summer and even in winter as they have firepits. This time, the outdoor hot tub was open and the views are spectacular. Remember to bring flip flops as they are not provided.

Rooms could use a bit of a refresh but really didn't bother us. There was a bag of garbage on our balcony which was surprising given how clean the rooms are. It was probably just forgotten during cleaning.

The view out our window was gorgeous! It was easy to get to downtown Banff and had immediate access to head out toward Lake Louise and Yoho NP or back toward Calgary. The restaurant onsite was good and definitely convenient. The hot tub had a really nice view as well.

There is road noise, but that can’t really be helped and have a good location. The room was a little outdated and just a touch small, but was still comfortable and clean and worked well for my friend and I.
