I loved the room-thoughtfully decorated with great accent colors. Also, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom shower was fantastic. My room had a wonderful view of a tree in bloom and The Columbia River. Also, they're pet-friendly, charging an extra $25 for my dog. We were both very happy here.
The breakfast could have been more substantial. There were pancakes we could make, stuff to toast like English Muffins & bread, and a little yogurt and cereal. Some muffins or something I could take back to the room would have been appreciated.

This is a great place to stay in The Dalles. Its very comfortable and clean. The view of The Gorge is amazing and never gets old no matter what time of year. The beds are very comfortable with good pillows and its quiet. Complimentary glass of wine or beer at the end of the day is nice and the staff was very friendly. Great Stumptown coffee in the morning with a limited breakfast but seemed to be sufficient. We have stayed before and will stay again in the future.
The rooms are kind of small and nothing overly fancy but just what you need for a good nights rest. I don't like that the dog policy was difficult to find and I was charged later for our dogs but its fine.

This trip involved another party that was to meet me in the area. I had to change the date of stay and the hotel was incredibly helpful and flexible. Housekeeping accommodated a later checkout so I could make the connection. And overall it was a great stay. Very quiet. Set up on a hill above the gorge. View was of the dam, not my favorite but still an expansive view of the Gorge. I was traveling with a rescue dog and the large private parking lot was perfect for late-night walks. I felt very safe and there was a lot of light. The room had every amenity I could expect and the pillow bed was so comfortable. I will stay here again.
Really can't think of anything I would change.

Communal patio area with complimentary glass of wine was lovely for sunset viewing. Breakfast was okay and appreciated. Facility resembles more of an old-school motel but rooms have nice view of the surrounding river scenery. Quiet and comfortable.
Swimming pool didn't look appealing (probably more a surroundings color rather than being unclean, but definitely didn't attract our interest in swimming. Breakfast could have been a bit better presented, with more choices. Entry road to the facility could be improved. But overall, everything was quite nice.

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The view from the room was amazing - right over the dam. Staff was kind and helpful.
Breakfast was only so-so, and was being brought out only a few items at a time, so there were a lot of people waiting in a very small space. We ended up leaving and eating at a local restaurant (The Riv - really yummy!). instead. Our room door had trouble opening with the key card and required the desk clerk to come open it. The shower was small. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent view of the Dalles dam and the surrounding valley. Very peaceful place to stay with the large windows overlooking the valley. I was also intrigued by the name of the hotel relating back to the name of the rapids in the pre-dam river, highlighting the native American gathering site for fishing the salmon runs each year.
Just a little out of town meaning that we had to drive back into town for a restaurant. But the restaurant recommendation from the clerk was excellent.

The views were stunning, the room was immaculate and a special visitor, Luna, the one-eyed kitty was especially charming. The bed was super comfortable and the accessability features, level entry and walk-in shower, were greatly appreciated for this little old lady with mobility issues! Don't hesitate to book your stay here. You will be happy that you did!

The motel is a bit old but kept very clean and nice. The neighbor around the motel is a bit run down. When driving to the motel I wasn't sure what I had reserved for the night. The road isn't well kept driving up the hill. Once you arrived it turned out okay.
The drive to the motel was my only complaint. It's located in an area that is run down. The motel is hard to find, I was lucky I had GPS.

everything was clean and the employees were helpful
the window locks were broke so we got moved to a new room and they were also broke. So we couldn’t leave our things at the room when we went into portland for our concert. They did come in and fix it when we were gone so that was good we couldn’t leave our sleep without worrying.

Nice, older hotel that has been remodeled. Small but clean room; lighting by bed not too great. Nice breakfast in lobby/breakfast room with a wonderful view of the Columbia River and the impressive dam at the Dalles. Also has a nice outdoor patio with a great view of the river.
Getting to the hotel was a little tricky. Although it is easily seen from the major highway, it's not that easy to find the right road to get there. Thank goodness for GPS and car navigation maps. Of course, this is not something the hotel can do anything about.
