Had an amazing stay at the Albertinia Hotel. Initially I was only going to stay for one night, but decided to extend my stay. Wonderful staff, delicious food with decent portions, comfortable rooms, conveniently located close to many coastal towns and attractions, bar with lively atmosphere, calm and quaint courtyard for having amazing meals and drinks, safe parking & friendly locals. I had an excellent experience, and will definitely visit again soon!

Everything was perfect, and the staff made sure I had a great experience. There really wasn't anything I would give them a negative review for. This is a gem!

Small town country hotel with lots of charm. The Staff went out of their way to make us feel at home - special mention to "Poppie" who checked us in at reception. The hotel is famed for its delicious lunchtime spread - please plan ahead and book this in advance1! Unfortunately, our schedule did not make it possible to sample this on the first day and they were fully booked for Mother's Day lunch. However, our dinner and breakfast were delicious. Very comfy bed and the electric blanket kept away the chilly winter cold. We stayed 2 nights.

Such a beautiful historical building, that was the very reason we booked it and it didn’t disappoint us at all. It was so cool, the night we arrived there was a big rugby match inn on the bar & everyone was so cool with us as tourists that don’t speak Afrikaans. We had a wonderful time, the food at breakfast was also excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely nothing

The place was very quiet so had a peaceful sleep and woke up well rested. The staff was very friendly, place was good overall

The internet signal was not reaching my room. Cld only get one bar which didn't work well for me. But since i needed rest it wasnt much of a convenience

The hotel is located just off the N2, so not much of a detour required. The staff were really friendly. The rooms were great (I had no. 11 which was modern. My parents had no. 14 which wasn't as modern, but had a large bathroom and was a big room). Comfortable beds. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast which were really good too.

The Hotel atmosphere was great, with lots of character, reminded me of my travels with the family in my young days. The bar was a highlight, great vibe with the locals and tourist hanging out there. Did not expect it in a small rural town.

We slept in a good room which was redone,this was great but i saw that the other rooms were a bit old and not as nice

My family is halaal that why we didn't eat breakfast

The fact that they didn't give us the extra room we paid for or some discount on our food or a percentage back... We booked 3 rooms and only got 2

This is a historic landmark hotel, just take a look at the fascinating portfolio they have in the lobby about it's history and you will see that you are walking amongst travellers from 100 years ago. The rooms are old, you can't get away from that but the place is clean, the water hot and the staff all wonderfully friendly. We had dinner and despite being the only diners were greeted with enthusiasm and served the most delicious oxtail I have eaten in years. For us as travellers on the road I do wish they would have been a fridge in the room, but for one night it was no way something I would mark them down for.

Friendly staff, EXCELENT meals, great historic atmosphere, lovely bar. The recently revamped room is excellent.

A little bit of maintenance is required on the building.
