Hotel du Bois d'Arlon – A Peaceful Golf Getaway We chose the Hotel du Bois d'Arlon mainly for its location near the golf course, and for that purpose it’s perfect. This new hotel offers modern comfort, a SPA, and a wonderfully quiet setting that makes it easy to switch off from everyday stress. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was pleasant, though nothing extraordinary. The same goes for the restaurant – decent, but not the highlight of our stay. If you’re coming for golf, it’s an ideal base. If you’re not a golfer but you’re looking for a relaxing retreat in calm surroundings, you may still find your happiness here.

Unfortunately the biggest disappointment of our stay was the steak. Overcooked, lacking seasoning, and far from what you’d expect from an otherwise high-standard hotel, it left us wishing we’d chosen something else on the menu.

The hotel is set in the grounds of a château, surrounded by three golf courses (2x9 hole, 1x18 hole). There are extensive walks available in the grounds and a high quality spa facility. The rooms were quiet and peaceful with an excellent view over the surrounding countryside. The bar/bistro area with a large terrace overlooking the golf course is smart with a good selection of food and drink. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. We were made to feel at home. The room itself was superbly comfortable and everything we hoped for. So good that we considered staying for the whole weekend rather than just one night but sadly we could not interrupt our schedule.

Portions in the bistro were too large for us. I don't like to waste food but neither my wife or I were able to finish our meal because everything was too large. One dessert would have been sufficient for a family of four. The entrée would have made a complete meal. If I had known how large the portions were I would have ordered just the entrée and avoided the other choices. Breakfast was acceptable put poor by comparison with other four star hotels in the same area. The cooked breakfast (choice of sausage, egg, bacon, beans) was of disappointing quality, croissants were stale. The hotel needs to improve the breakfast options to compete with alternatives.

The welcome by the reception person I talked to was so warm and lovely! The room was fabulous, plenty of space and amenities. The view out over the golf-course was very nice, too. The restaurant was lovely, as was the food (dinner and very generous breakfast buffet). The wellness opportunities also sounded promising, but as I only ended up here for an accidental overnight (very lucky one, though), I cannot speak to that. Already recommended the place to some golf-playing friends.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to go for a walk along even the main pathways or borders of the gorgeous course, I was told, and I didn't want to overstep even after it seemed like there was no one playing anymore, after dinner. That's definitely a bit of a downer. Also, some other guests seemed less concerned with permissions, as I saw some in the morning, walking their dogs, on the clearly "no people walking" signed out paths.

Breakfast was full of variety Bed was very comfortable Place was almost brand new Spa receptionist Spa facilities, views all round Food was great Restaurant staff were good. Especially the young man that served us. Newness (room was like first occupancy) Quiet location Free parking Decor

Receptionist was less than welcoming and the whole place took itself a bit too seriously. As was the breakfast waitress. Getting a booking at the spa was harder than getting an audience with the pope. However the spa receptionist was great. Had a sense of humour and helpful.

The room matches the photos, everything was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable, and I had a great night’s sleep. There was a hairdryer and two bottles of water in the room, but the minibar was empty, which was a bit surprising.

There were a few disappointing moments. We arrived at 5 PM expecting to have dinner at the hotel, but the staff informed us that there were no available tables for the evening. The same issue occurred with the spa – we were only given a 1-hour slot for the next day, which was quite limited for a relaxing experience. The spa area was overcrowded, with too many people for just two saunas and one jacuzzi, making it less enjoyable. Otherwise, the hotel matches the photos, but the organization of services could be improved

It is obvious the hotel is new as everything is spotless and well designed. The location is perfect, and the fact you can wake up looking at the golf fields and nature is wonderful. Having 2h spa access included in the stay was a nice add on.

Although there were few pillows to choose from I found them too bulky, but that is subject to personal preferences. Overall it is definitely a hotel to recomend, and it could have gotten a straight 10 if the breakfast buffet was refilled more frequently, in order to have the same variety no matter how early or late you come for breakfast during the breakfast hours.

Beautiful nature in stunning location. SPA adults only. Storage of E-Bikes possible

Sign missing in SPA that people are obliged to shower before enter the site. Not enough towel hangers in wet-zones as well in changing rooms and WC. Big tea cups missing additional to option to take them to the little tables in SPA. Bigger towels for benches in SPA missing. Pls put handles around the swimming pool as well as above the power stream so one can "hold on" floating, the water in swimmingpool should be 2 Celsius warmer. - Snack card in restaurant monday and tuesday ok but wednesdays it should be a little bigger card or at least a different one. Bike path surrounding the Golf would be nice to have.

The hotel is new, clean, and well-furnished with a lot of space in every room. The location is a bit away from the city, but the great view and clean air compensate for it. Although the variety of food for breakfast is not that great, it has most of the things you need and tastes good. The SPA is great with the sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, and pool available as well as massages and other procedures provided. The personnel of the hotel and SPA are friendly and hospital. Highly recommend the place for its price.

Firstly, connecting a phone to the TV in the room was almost impossible, so it would be great to somehow simplify it. Secondly, it would be great to improve the services in the restaurant, because when we came there to have dinner, we were offered a table next to the exit although it was almost empty. Further, the waiting time was a bit long, but not critically.

This was a last minute booking while travelling. The hotel was stunning. It was a little difficult to find in the dark but really beautiful and comfy room.

We had some issues with our air con, the room was freezing when we got in and after a lot of fiddling with the room, we still couldn’t figure out how to turn it on to night mode so it wasn’t so loud or cold. Eventually called reception for help and although he managed to get it at a lower power setting he also couldn’t get it to turn off or go on night mode, not sure if it was broken or if this is just a flaw in the product overall. The comfy beds made up for it though and we still slept very well.

This is a beautiful place. I could stay here forever. A small fridge helps to keep quick snacks handy. My 40kg rescue dog looked at everything with big eyes, too. Super easy and quick access from the highway. Stayed only a short overnight in a hurry, but would have loved to try out the spa and their restaurant.

Parking rather small for what looked like a very big hotel, but plenty of space when we were there. 25 euro for the dog, totally ok, but maybe not everybody's cup of tea.... and maybe not the first place to stay at if you have a dog?
