First, the grounds were beautifully manicured and designed! Our daughters spent loads of time sitting in the garden just soaking in the peacefulness next to the very clean, well-maintained pool (which I definitely took advantage of after the long Mt. Etna hike!) that had nice chairs and umbrellas as well. Our unit was on the second floor and had huge front and back patios! Loved having the washing machine and this was a great location to visit Mt. Etna (if you walk to the top of the property you can see it!) Bedroom itself was a little tight with the queen and one twin, and the other the twin bed was actually in the kitchen but my daughter didn't care. Host was lovely and responsive - she made sure to greet us as well as bid us farewell, and of course got us anything that needed restocking straight away. She truly cares about your experience and maintains a beautiful property!

The accommodation and grounds were spectacular. You can see Mount Etna and the sea from the top of the hill within the properties boundaries. The garden is well maintained and beautifully landscaped with ornamental features everywhere you can tell that a lot of thought has been put into it. The property is gorgeous with 6 separate accommodations under one roof. The room sizes were great and comfortably fitted the 5 of us. The property had everything we needed to cook for ourselves. Monica was a great host and always checked that everything was ok, she even gave us a map of local restaurants and other places we may need during our stay. We hadn’t originally booked to stay here but after our original accommodation fell well below our standards we booked Il Casale di Monacella via booking.com and arrived 2 hours later. Monica couldn’t have done anymore for us and literally saved our holiday. Thank you Monica ☺️

Monica was incredibly helpful and responsive with any queries. The grounds are beautiful and really well maintained, with lovely apartments. The cleanest pool ever!

The grounds and room were really accessible (wheelchair user) but you really do need a car to get to anything - shopping, restaurants, etc so be prepared to drive. Parking in Sicily is never easy, but if you're up for the challenge then it's fine.

This property exceeded our expectations, we really liked everything about it! Once you enter the garden gate you find a beautiful and perfectly kept garden and pool area, as well as a parking area, BBQ area and swings. The Casale is split up in a small number of self-catering apartments each having their own entrance and terrace. Our apartment was fully equipped and extremely clean. The property’s location is in a very quiet and wonderful area close to Mount Etna, making an ideal base to explore Sicily’s east coast. Finally, we were so pleased to have Monica as our wonderful host, as she made sure we enjoyed our stay from the moment we booked till the garden gate closed behind us after an unforgettable week!

There’s really nothing we can criticise about the Casale itself. Perhaps the only thing we didn’t like is that the public street leading up to the property is not so nice as it’s full of rubbish on each side. Unfortunately we witnessed this problem in several other areas between Messina and Syracuse. It seems that this is a public administration issue which is badly affecting the local tourism product.

Modern, well equipped house with 6 apartments, nicely decorated garden and decently sized pool. Apartment itself was very comfortable for a family of four. Each apartment has its own terrace to sit outside and enjoy the time. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Actually everything was as expected - nothing to complain about.

It was a clean, well equiped apartment on a good location. It has a swimmingpool and a Barbeque-spot to share with the other 5 apartments.

There are houserules regarding use of the pool and noise, but families with kids disregard these rules. Most of the time the pool (even until after 9pm!) is literally taken over by kids. Surely the owner cannot be blamed for this, but a nice relaxing week at the pool is not guaranteed. The apartment complex is “well lit” at night and has many security camera’s which did not feel pleasant. An unexpected security deposit.

This was by far the best accommodation me and my girlfriend ever had! It is a very calm and remote destination under the beautiful Etna park where you can relax to the highest level. I recommend a car for this stay since it is a starting point for many trips and you can use a car for grocery shopping too. Each one of the rooms is beautiful, new and well equipped! Each room has its own outside area where you can have breakfasts or dinners. The pool is magnificent. It offers the view of the whole resort and it feels like being somewhere completely else. To anyone considering this stay, either couple or family, I highly recommend it! And do not let me forget to mention Monica, the owner and facilitator. She is one of the nicest, kindest and friendliest owners I talked to ever. Communication with her is excellent, she replies days and nights and tries her best to meet your needs. Even though I am honest person, there is NOTHING I could say was wrong at this stay. It was just as I imagined it would be. I left very pleased and regenerated :)

Very clean and peaceful location and the apartment was a great size. Monica was very friendly and helpful - she met us upon arrival and told us everything we needed to know to ensure we had a pleasant stay

We didn’t have any dislikes. Perhaps there could have been some more kitchen equipment such as kitchen knives (unless we couldn’t see them)?

Beautiful property kept perfectly. A little oasis with a thoroughly modern spacious apartment with great views of mount Etna. Monica is a wonderful host and a perfectionist when it comes to hospitality. So nice we stayed twice.

Don’t be put off by the rubbish on the road on the way to the property. Be prepared that it is not close to town.

The stay was excellent from the start. Monica has contacted us before our stay and was on time for our check in. She greeted us well. The property is a good base for going round East Sicily. It also has anything you might need, an equipped kitchen, washing machine, iron, hair dryer etc... The property is very clean and well kept. The garden is a pleasant relaxing space where both children and adults can enjoy. We highly recommend this property.
