My fiancé and I were getting married in the Helsingor town hall. Skandia hotel is only a few minutes walk! Staff was friendly and incredibly helpful for our needs. I needed an iron (given) and asked about parking for my makeup artist the next day. The next morning our townhall appointment was at 11am and checkout was also 11am. They stored our luggage until we came back a few hours later. Let us change clothes in our old room even( I was expecting the lobby bathroom) and still held our bags for longer so we could go to lunch. Through all of this they could have charged us for the room longer but they didn't! This shows they care what is best for the customer. Note- This is an older hotel. I think its very well maintained but let's say it has older charm. But the breakfast buffet was delicious!

Cosy room on the top floor with a fabulous view of Kronborg slot and the harbour, town. We had booked a standard room and was lucky to have been given room 450. Quiet and the hotel was right near the train and ferry, and town centre. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was very good for what we needed. We made salad on breadrolls to take with and the man on duty kindly wrapped these in plastic wrap to keep secure. Bathroom was small but renovated and very clean. My wife and I liked the firm beds. Even near the centre, it was fairly quiet.

Hard pillows. Room became hot when we closed the windows at night. A fan was provided but didn't use it. We went without the duvets instead. Soap in the shower seemed too much like hand soap over the sink. Foam but no scent nor strength. Didn't feel cleansing.

Very helpful Staff. Had an issue with baggage lost by the airline, and they did help us to receive that, as well as with guidance around the town.

The room size, and especially the bathroom size, could be bigger...

Comfortable, family-run hotel in an excellent location on the edge of the old town in Helsingor. The railway station is just across the road. My room was on the 4th floor with an outstanding view over the roofs of the old town to Kronborg Castle, the Sound and the coast of Sweden. The breakfast buffet was very good - a good selection of everything you could want, including a delicious range of fresh bread rolls.

The room was accurately described as a small double. The bathroom was really small. The shower was adequate but sitting on the toilet meant having to leave the door open.

Awesome view from the room at the top. Staying at new years eve was a blast watching the swedish coast exploding in rockets. Very romantic and very lovely employees.

Maybe the room could take some new painting at the walls, but nothing too serious. Actually added some flair to the room tbh.

The location near the ferry, train station and town was perfect. The breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived 3 hours early but the hotel was able to let us in, very accommodating.

There was bike parking offered out back next to the bins, really could benefit from a secure covered locked shed. There’s so many cyclists so it would be appreciated. The room was very compact, especially the ensuite shower room, we knew that in advance but be aware.

The staff, both at reception, kitchen and cleaning, are very polite and completely professional and were very attentive and nice. The room was very clean when we arrived, the location of the hotel is perfect because it is close to everything, the breakfast is very good, it exceeded expectations and the food is fresh. And the view from the room is amazing.

Only the bed, for a double, is not very good, because it is actually two single beds stuck together and the blankets are single. I don't know if I could change it, because I didn't ask at reception.

Three star hotel, that met my expectations. The room was nice but small and had a slightly musty smell. The bathroom, which included a shower, was very cramped. The breakfast was basic but adequate. The service was extremely friendly, adding a positive touch to our stay. It was convenient to reserve parking for our car at the hotel's own lot. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area.

There was no parking space for our MC but they managed to free up a space. It was the second time that we stayed since we like so much. We were upgraded to a bigger bedroom that was lovely. Thank you to the helpful and comprehensive staff!

Very central location. Friendly staff. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Able to reserve parking space free of charge. Shops and restaurants very close by. Although the room was very small it was perfectly serviceable.

Not able to access car park after 10pm. We were visiting family one evening and came back later than 10pm so had to park in local car park. Parking spaces very tight. The room was very warm and needed to have windows open as difficult to sleep. Due to close proximity of railway station and town centre it was a little noisy although we had a room at the back of the property so wasn’t too bad.
