the view from balcony 8th floor was absolutely a million dollar view showing Chengdu town night. at first, a setting meeting location on our first encounter was confusing. My advice, just directly give us the address we stayed. Meeting point on first address not necessary especially during night and lots of heavy luggage were carried, though the distance was not too far. Air conditioner need to be quality control first before customer entering the room. Room temperature is one of important to stay too. Last, there still a tiny dusting (only a minor) but its ok. We have enjoyed staying at Moonlight Hotel and not to mentioned, the room smells so nice and full of flowers scents, makes us so comfortable to stay.

Location, location, location. We stayed at the apartment with View and Balcony which lived up to his name, with a very nice view of the river and iconic bridge. Albeit not brand new and showing some normal wear & tear, the apartment had a cute "Greek Islands" theme and all the amenities one needs (including comfy bath robes). To top it all of, the lady from the hotel and her husband were incredibly kind, helpful and flexible when we needed to modify our booking due to my mistake in the booking dates. All in all, do not expect a Ritz-like luxury, but it has everything you need and the best imaginable value for money!

Lovely room. The manager was very kind and helpful with very good English. The hotel is well situated with a lovely late-night Bistro and Bar (Ghouse garden restaurant and bar), just around the corner. They also have a fascinating collection of vases and porcelain in the foyer. Chengdu was our favourite stop on our visit of China. Everyone was very friendly and laid-back and the Moonlight Hotel was a perfect base from which to explore the city, and its environs. Highly recommend 10/10.

The owner Ada is above and beyond. I needed to ship a package so she walked me to the post office late at night to make sure I knew where to go. John was beyond helpful with travel / destination recs. Location is amazing; you're right next to An Shun bridge, 15 min walk to Tai Koo li, and close to LKF for night life as well. You're right on the water, so that's good. You're right next to a street, but there's not noise pollution at all. Blackout blinds work really well. Free water, beer waiting for you on your room. I got the big room; good desk for working.

The A/C blows directly on the desk, so good to just turn it off when working.

Very good location! Even though right in the city centre with shops and restaurants within the vicinity, room rate was reasonably priced! The staff is very friendly and ever so helpful! We had a room with balcony with a beautiful city and river view! The room was clean and pleasant. A delightful surprise - the bathroom was even equipped with a washing machine....for us to get a chance to wash our dirty laundry after travelling for over 3 weeks in China!! The room is very nice, I really liked the furnishings and it was very clean.

The heating in the room takes a really long time to heat up. The hotel did offer for me to contact them to turn it on before I return but as I was exploring I never really knew a time I would return. Also the reception area could be more welcoming, it feels a little like you are walking through someone’s home.

Though outdated, the apartment is very clean and very well equipped with comfortable towels, bed linnen, laundry machine, fridge, laptop table etc etc. Most of all: it's in the heart of Chengdu with a balcony with an amazing view over the city. Both at daytime as at night. The staff was very kind and helpful.

The outside of the building and the central corridors are worn out but once inside, it is one big pleasure

We have just been there and everything has been perfect. The hotel, the rooms and the attention we’ve received from Ada has been amazing. She has helped us with one problem we’ve had buying tickets, speaking wirh our next hotel, trying to help us wirh some connections… she has very good english level and that point in china is not common. For sure i highly recommend this hotel.

The reception is up a flight of stairs and is a room full of books, musical instruments and various things. The room itself was a tastefully decorated room with traditional furniture, a large bath tub, screen projector tastefully designed. Great location and very helpful English speaking staff. A great boutique hotel alternative to the usual chain hotels.

Nothing bad

The English-speaking receptionist was very helpful. The hotel is located conveniently close to subway line 3, which takes you directly to the Panda base. It is also near plenty of restaurants. It faces the river, for pleasant riverside walks. Even though it also faces a heavily-trafficked avenue, I didn't hear a noise from my room.

It's on a second floor, so an elevator for luggage would be convenient.
