Staff here are extremely friendly. Breakfast is fresh cooked, better than some others I've had at larger chain hotels. Pet friendly (a big reason why I booked). Kitchenette area was a good size. The night was very quiet, got a good night's sleep here. The hotel is very close to the Safeway grocery in town.

My bed was a bit too broken in on one side (I just slept on the other side, no worries), and this hotel is a bit dated, but if you want a more modern experience I would book elsewhere. I very much feel like I got what was advertised, which suited me just fine.

Room was very clean, actually one of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in. The personnel are all extremely friendly, the owners should be proud of their staff.

We did not realize we had to put out a sign for the room to be serviced. So we missed that, however, housekeeping did come in and take our towels, but did not leave replacements. The breakfast was lacking, I went down at 8:45 and there wasn't anything but coffee. There was a mess up with the food delivery service and I was fine. But, I would say if you advertise breakfast, there should be something available between the times stated.

Super clean! Beds were "super twins" so slightly larger than a twin but not quite a full. Perfect for my friend and I. Staff was friendly and helpful (especially the lovely woman at the front desk the next morning) BONUS: they have 3 resident cats! We only met one, Smoky. He was super friendly! The motel was in Alamosa, so the larger town closest to the Great Sand Dunes. We were there 4th of July so expected everything to be closed, but we're pleased to be referred to The Purple Pig which had super pizza as promised. Id absolutely stay at Sunset Inn again

Minor issue with the toilet not flushing and having to plunge ourselves because the maintenance guy wouldn't be around for another hour. It worked out ok, but was a little surprised to be given the option to DIY. It wasn't a huge problem, just a minor blip.

The staff is phenomenal! I immediately felt like I was at home when I arrived. I was treated like an old friend. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was eggs, potatoes and waffles. I loved everything about our stay and will only stay here when I'm in the area again.

The window needs a blackout curtain or blackout shades. It's nothing that would keep me from coming back. It was a very minor issue.

The staff was very welcoming and courteous. We came in late during a snow storm and they were out shoveling the parking lot all night and then again the next morning. Every person we spoke to was very kind and quick to help. The lamp in our room wasn’t working, but I told the front desk and they came up with a new light bulb within a half hour. The room was very comfortable with a plethora of pillows on each bed and it was very clean. This stay was a great value and we will definitely be staying here again.

The stay only would have been better if it wasn’t a snow storm when we arrived, which has nothing at all to do with the facility itself.

We almost always stay here when we visit or pass through Alamosa. Just like the place and the people and my wife loves their resident felines! Quiet rooms, very comfortable beds, great wet bar with Frig/Microwave, and nice showers.

Ice maker wasn't working well when we were there but no big deal as we had a bag of ice in our cooler. TV Remote sometimes difficult to work but we've stayed there so much we know how to work around the issues without having to get anyone else involved. Usually they have breakfast ready in the mornings but this time there wasn't anything although they did ask us if we wanted them to make us some waffles. We needed to get on the road anyway to head to the 4 Corners so it wasn't a big deal.

Good location and quiet! Plenty of parking, friendly staff, and breakfast was decent (not great, not bad, just not my style). I would book here again. Be careful though, don't wait too late to make your reservations as the hotel is known to sell out!

The bed was too hard for my liking, horrible! My partner didn't mind the bed...which is weird since they enjoy a softer mattress. The morning coffee was weak, but there was plenty available until I could make my way to a gas station for a stronger cup.

The room was nice and clean and came with a refrigerator and microwave. The beds were very comfortable. The shower provided nice hot but comfortable water. The complimentary breakfast offered a variety of foods and the waffles were great. The location was less than a mile from my grandson's graduation at Adams State University and there were several restaurants close by.

The rooms are always clean which is why it is our first choice to stay at when we are in town. The staff is very friendly and accommodating whenever I need anything.

This time around when visiting, there was a shortage of food, so by the time we went downstairs to eat, the only thing that was left to eat was eggs which were not cooked thoroughly. There was also waffles left but no potatoes or anything else. So we were not able to eat at the hotel this time around.

Quiet place

It said that the room has a kitchenette and I expected at least a coffee maker and some dishes. There was a microwave, fridge and a sink. That’s it. I was charged a fee because I used my credit card even though on my final price of $148 it said all fees are included. I paid $154. I was told that there is a comment on the booking site about the credit card fee. I did not see anything and found it a little strange that there was an extra fee not mentioned on booking.
