I asked the guy who let us in if the Mexican restaurant across the street was good, and he said that it's where he goes, which is good enough for me. The food was good, it more than met my expectations in a town with 2 or maybe 3 places to choose from. The location couldn't be better, it's within walking distance to good food, at least 1 bar, and I think 2 dispensaries if that's your jam.

The room itself was a hodgepodge of furniture, but what can you expect, it's the back room of a 1911 train station, not a Hilton. You stay here for the history, not the luxury. That being said, the coffee maker was very disappointing, it looked old and cheap. I chose to drive less than a mile away to the nearest convenience store. Which had plenty of hot coffee and very good breakfast burritos that myself and many locals were snapping up.

Large room with an en suite bathroom complete with clawfoot tub. Cozy and old fashioned complete with creaky floor boards, a table for books and games to borrow, pool table, ecclectic decor, and great outdoor sitting area with picnic tables and a heavenly breeze.

Room was warm when we got there but luckily we carry a box fan that worked alongside the ac to cool the room quickly, and the exterior stairwell would be difficult for elderly folks. We’re still plenty young though so we handled it just fine.

I've never left a vacation and felt like I was on one before this stay. An older building, so the floors creak, especially when you're my size. Sorry downstairs neighbors. Very friendly. They also had my favorite store bought drip coffee.

I didn't have a great view. But when the bed is that comfortable and your goal is definitively R&R. The window was fine for a little added, but not direct sunlight. So you could say the bad was really a good

The rooms were remodeled old rooms. I actually loved the way they did the room. It had AC, a refrigerator a shower (no tub) nut no microwave. However, they had a room with cold cereal, bananas and a couple of other things. Also, refrigerator with milk, juice and ice in the freezer and a microwave available all day and night. The room had a couch, tiny table and 2 chairs plus a pool table. They carryed my luggage to my room since I was not physically able. There was no elevator. I would stay there again if in the area. The staff was great.

I guess I would say just the feel of the old room yet nice and clean.

While it's an unconventional motel, unlike most "chain" hotels and motels, the staff was very friendly and down to earth homely! It was like you were staying with friends than at a motel.

When I first arrived at the property, I thought I was at the wrong place because there were signs of "Do not enter" and "For Rent" on the doors and windows. When I walked around, I saw the sign that mentioned calling the number and the hosts were there within seconds to show me to the room. Unconventional, but once I knew I wasn't at the wrong place, all was good. And the shower is a little tight.

I really didn't know what to expect at this hotel, but we needed cooking facilities, beds, and a TV, so it met those expectations. It was certainly an eclectic place, which was fine with us, and the kitchen had fairly basic supplies, but everything we needed to cook and serve a meal. The tub in the bedroom was a bit quirky, but worked out for us. The host was very accommodating.

The space felt like an apartment rather than a cookie cutter hotel room. Had a great location in town and great common area

The rooms are on the second story with an outdoor staircase. Was not a problem for my wife and I but is something to consider if you have trouble walking with luggage. Staff was very helpful with getting our bags

What I really liked were the people that work at the hotel. Then I like "old." It brings back memories as I am 87 years old. My daughter and I were there about a year and a half ago. She met the ghost in room 5. We know it was definitely something as I had my little dog with me and she grumbled all night long. I think that that ghost just did not want anyone in the little bed.

Each room is decorated with antique furniture. Very quaint but not for everyone. If you’re looking for all the amenities of a Marriott, this is not the place for you.

There is no lobby. The owner lives next door and you must call the number number on the front door. He will arrive within 5 min to get you settled in.

The room was shown as having two sofa beds but they were not really sofa beds but fairly comfortable
