Vaway Hotel has a great historic center location, but the bad side to that is that it's noisy till late hours. The room was large, modern and clean.  It has well located electric plugs, and lots of shelf space for your clutter. Bathroom is good with all the expected toiletries. The elevator is great as we were on the 4th floor and breakfast is on the 7th floor. Breakfast was good. It is served on the rooftop bar restaurant Terra360. Break your coat as it is chilly in the morning on the rooftop.  As of March 2025, it is now buffet style. Apparently, it previously had been a la carte. A few bad things:  no safe.  Wifi smart TV has no service plan, you need to use your own Netflix,  Prime, etc. My plan apparently doesn't work in foreign countries, so no TV. 

It was very nice to be greeted by Stephen and another young lady. Stephen went above and beyond he really is a true Manager! We loved that we were welcomed the other gentleman walked us to the elevator and explained everything to us. The elevator was pretty cool. We appreciate The light sensors in the hallways. We appreciate the notice in the bathroom walls on how to save water. The whole properties was very clean. The two complementary waters came in handy. The upgrades look great. We love that our room overlook the cathedral. We thought the breakfast included was delicious and the rooftop restaurant was very pretty. The views were just spectacular. When we went for a walk, the staff offered umbrellas that came in handy. Appreciated the 10% off.

Unfortunately, the room was noisy. You heard the church bells,The traffic and the pedestrians noise. We thought the toilet paper was not of the best quality. We had to ask for 4 extra rolls in total. We wish there were hooks for the towels in the shower area and face tissues. We thought that the restaurant food prices were a bit high in comparison to everything around us.

Breakfast was great! Feast of fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, coffee, eggs and assorted hot compliments, toast and croissants, jam and butter. And served on the rooftop!

Rooms are a little noisy due to an inside verticle opening above a garden area that extends to the roof. Noise echoes into any room fronting the opening. Luckily the hotel was pretty quiet at night.

Great location. Very kind staff. Couldn’t ask for a more central location in the historic district… which has its good points and bad.

I did not anticipate the noise outside all night. There are many restaraunts in the area and you will hear people most of the night. We didn’t like that, so we left early. The hotel was very generous in allowing us to leave early. Many hotels won’t do that, so I give them a LOT of credit for that.

location was good, room was clean and spacious. staff was helpful. overall, is a good hotel

I didn't have Hot water one morning , it was fixed the same day but I took a shower early morning and I was freezing . the city temperature was cold. Restaurant food was overpriced but again all meals in Cuenca are overpriced

Great place for location and service. Nice rooftop restaurant and bar and breakfast buffet. Only complaint was it was noisy. Our room was on a central courtyard and along adjacent floors open to the court and you hear echoing voices and anyone walking along the hallways. Otherwise it was fine.

The view from the terrace, the location, room was spacious and clean. When the hotel’s reserved taxi did not turn up (national holiday with a lot of traffic the staff went out of their way to find a private hire car to get us to the airport on time at their cost.

The terrace is great but is open to the public as a restaurant/ bar and has a steady stream of people coming in and out of the hotel all day long. Street side rooms could do with double glazing.

The staff were helpful and kind. The included breakfast was beyond my expectations and perfect. The coffee was amazing. The location was perfect. There was 24 hour security. Parking was included at a facility a short distance away with 24 hour security. I loved my stay there.

The breakfast exceeded my expectations, considering it was included. Cool rooftop restaurant/bar with a great view. The staff provided useful information to travel around Cuenca's tourist destinations. Modern and clean room/bathroom.

Loved the location of this hotel.

I felt like the breakfast was just mid, but nice to have something before we went out for our day.
