Wonderful welcome from Mersault? I think that was his name. From the second we went in through the gates were overwhelmed by how beautiful this place was . Stayed in the “Queens” room (2). Beautiful 4 poster bed. Absolutely spotless. Drinks served down by the pool and later on at night in the garden. Just so much character! Couldn’t have asked for more. Will definitely be back again. Felt safe parking the car there as gates are closed at nighttime ( you get a card to open them as a guest. Only 5 mins walk down to the old port.
Honestly, we enjoyed every aspect of our short stay.

This was a beautiful hotel just a few minutes stroll from the centre of Honfleur. The room we were allocated was in the courtyard so all on one level with car parking right outside and even though there were lots of cars parked, the room was extremely quiet. The room itself was spacious with a big bathroom and separate toilet. The room also had tea & coffee making facilities plus a fridge with complimentary water. The main hotel was so elegant and filled with beautiful antiques in every room. Breakfast was in the conservatory or the garden and had everything you needed including the best croissants we had on our entire trip. All the staff we dealt with were just so lovely and helpful and I would love to stay here again if we were visiting Honfleur.
Nothing at all. Everything was perfect.

The room had a separate sitting, a bedroom and a bathroom. It had a A/C unit which we took advantage of since the temp outside was mid 30's. Breakfast was buffet style with a wide variety of choices. Options for sitting was outside in a garden, a sunroom or a dining room table. The main house was impeccably decorated with many interesting pieces. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. They were always checking on their guests satisfaction.
The entrance to the parking area was a little tight so entering and leaving the parking lot was an adventure. But the parking was available and free.

This hotel is a real gem! On arrival we were welcomed and shown where to park (it was full that night) and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the town centre and is filled with fascinating antique items through the main building. Our room in one of the annexes was comfortable and peaceful. Breakfast was an excellent buffet selection with very good coffee served by a charming gentleman, who also helped us drive out on departure as the hotel is situated on a narrow street. We would thoroughly recommend Hotel L'Ecrin to anyone visiting Honfleur, we had a most enjoyable stay.

Our hosts were extremely friendly, efficient and welcoming making our arrival very easy. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the old town (very close) while remaining quiet. The streets nearby are very attractive and worth exploring. We decided against a harbourside dinner and tried the Tourbillon close to the hotel on Rue des Puits - highly recommended. Our friends were offered a free upgrade of their twin room to a double and both rooms were spacious, comfortable (very comfortable beds with lovely sheets and pillows) and uniquely fitted out and decorated. The main building is absolutely splendid and the breakfast room is beautiful, like an Edwardian conservatory, with a superb breakfast buffet. We could not have been happier with our overnight stop and plan to return.
A wider range of teas and coffee in the room would be welcome.

fabulous room - very comfy up in the attic but the view was wonderful. Great breakfast - though it was a bit chaotic so maybe arrive early and it will be easier to get seated quickly. We were a bit late and it took a while - but it serves us right for being late!!
Many many stairs up to the room... but if you want a view like that it's not really a problem. can't think of anything else... it was fab! the furniture was a little tired, but it had character!! a bit of a trek down to the town / harbour for dinner but less than ten mins??

The staff are out-of-this-world welcoming and helpful. One gentleman, Fabrice I believe, helped me park when the main lot was full. He noticed an unsafe bulge in my tire and helped me connect with my rental car company to negotiate the roadside assistance situation. The gentleman tending to the gardens stopped leaf blowing to open the gate for me and help me back out onto the street. He offered that without me asking. Based on the setup, that was quite helpful. Just lovely, lovely staff. The grounds and interiors are beautifully decorated. You will have a feast for the eyes in every direction as artful pieces are everywhere. The room had everything I needed, including a comfortable bed and bedding, a shower with great water pressure and plenty of hot water, and gorgeous views of the city of Honfleur. I very much wish I could have stayed more than one night. I was wonderful.

The location was excellent - far enough away for peace and quiet yet close enough for a quick stroll to get to the harbor and shops/eateries. Staff were wonderful and went out of their way to help out especially the dapper gentleman Nam:) who checked me in, and the other gentleman (i can't remember his name i feel terrible) who helped with dinner reservations and a taxi for a restaurant that was outside of the main area (we ended up cancelling and deciding to just walk in to town). The property is beautiful and quirky (very Wes Anderson) - a former manor, with an opulent main building/grounds. The resident cat, Creme Fraiche was adorable. I wish the weather was good enough to take advantage of the pool but it was too cold at the time. didn't have breakfast on property because my family wanted to go in to town. would def stay again!
no complaints really, it was a fun place

Close to town, free parking and safe. Swimming pool and nice garden, weather permitting. Lovley friendly Nam. The room we swapped to was a new build alongside the parking area. The room was bright, lovely linen, kettle, bath with shower attachment ans toilet. Very comfortable and only a small flight of outside stairs up to the room.
I was so looking forward to staying in the Hotel. Unfortunately I booked through Booking.com, standard double. It was on the second floor, no lift, small and dark. We were given the choice of that or swapping for a new build alongside the house, same price. I was dissapointed as the reason for going to that hotel was to experience the unique house., but I cannot physically climb that amount of stairs with luggage. Ok only one night, but still a dissapointment as this was for my 70th Birthday. These points should be listed on booking.com, i.e., no lift, on second floor, and a representational photo of the room.

There ought to be an option to pay for breakfast when booking. One of the rooms we were allocated didn’t have a walk in shower. My son stayed in that room (17) and he is over 180cm tall. I am also disabled so we couldn’t swap rooms as I would not have been able to get in and out of the bath for a shower. Fortunately, my partner and I allowed my son to use the shower in our room (18)
