This hotel feels like family owned, old - but very well maintained. It has a excellent location: close to Erlangen Hbf, the Bergkirchweih festival, university, and city center.

It was rather hot in the room 8, and its floor felt like it is heated, perhaps because of the hot water pipes. With no AC, it was at time uncomfortable. There were also two stairs to the bathroom, which is risky if you need to go there in the middle of the night...

This is an absolutely charming hotel in the heart of the city. It’s walkable to all the area sights. The Altmann’s are a wonderful couple who take pride in their establishment. The breakfast buffet is excellent, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I am already planning another trip and will certainly return to this beautiful little hotel.

Its proximity to downtown was great! The staff was beyond excellent and assisted me with my very poor German. They also called my hotel in Nuremberg to ensure my luggage could be dropped off early. Really great place and highly recommend.

This hotel is so near to the center of town that you don't need your car to visit it, you can just lazily walk there. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was fresh, tasty and enough to keep you going, the beds comfortable. I can't say anything bad about it.

I think it provides really good value for money, it's well located in Erlangen and provides a more than fulfilling breakfast to start your day! I also appreciate the quietness and beauty of the hotel and the staff is professional and nice.

The lady at the reception waited for me when I arrived after the checkin hours because of train delay. When I had to take an early train on my checkout day, she packed a big breakfast bag for me. The breakfast did not have substantial vegan options, but had good bread, a lot of fruit, good coffee and they had plant-based milk upon request. The hotel is very close to the train station, shops, bakeries and the market.

The room was dark because of a small window going onto an inner yard. One night people talked loud in the inner yard until late in the night.

Breakfast was very yummy with fresh fruit, nuts, meats and cheese. The staff were above and beyond to help us and we were made to feel very welcome. A massive thank you to Marco for helping us with taxis and to the lovely lady (sorry I didn't catch her name!) Who made my birthday breakfast very special with sekt and birthday songs!!! I would certainly recommend this lovely friendly hotel.

The owners of the hotel were so friendly and warm, they made me feel right at home. They took care of everything I asked for and were excellent conversationalists as well. The room was clean and purpose fit for me. The best part was the excellent view I enjoyed of the church tower nearby. I truly enjoyed my one week at Altmann's Stube and am already planning my next stay with them. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The hostess is super friendly and welcoming. The location of the hotel is in a quiet street, in the city centre, close to the railway and bus station. The room is very comfy and clean, equipped with everything one may need.

A hotter meal for breakfast (omelette, for instance) would be a nice complement.

The place was nice and the owners were such great nice people, it is very close to the city center I think but I was mostly working so didn't get to see much. Would certainly start there again if I visit Erlangen again
