The apartments where so clean and airy and nice modern bathroom. The family and Mother that run it are so kind and friendly and bring you fruit cake and can’t do enough to help you. We miss them Already after amazing 2 week stay. You can also use the pool at Fisherman’s Jacks just down the hill to the right with lovely 25meter pool and friendly Bar.

Only thing I say if you are old and not great at walking in heat it is up a hill from shops and beach so might not be good for you. But it was no problem for us as a family and it kept us fit the 10 min walk to and from the Beach.

Perfect stay from start to finish Despina Nikos and the whole family were so helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was spotless and had everything one could need, including some delicious homemade cake ! We had an amazing view of the mountains from our balcony and a window view of the pool area which was also immaculately clean and overlooking the sea. Parking on site was a plus. The place is around 10 minutes walk from the center of the town and 3 minutes to the nearest convience shop. 8 minute drive away is dragons beach which honestly, is one of the nicest beaches we have been to. The only thing was the configuration of the bathroom was slightly awkward however nothing major, especially considering the value for money Would definitely recommend !

This is a small white block of studios with a pool and a lovely elevated view of the village (Makry Gialos, Southern-East Crete). The studios are perfectly arranged and clean, the lady owner is very friendly and amusing. It is not impossible to reach the place on foot, climbing up the small road but generally you would need a car - because the village is several kilometers long parallel to the sea, and there are many other places to visit in this very beautiful area of Crete.

Everything was perfect! Despina and Nikos are the kindest hosts, we really felt at home during our stay. Our studio was equipped with everything we needed, it was clean and comfy. Also the pool is a great perk and the studio is close to the town centre, to the beach and all the facilities. We will come back for sure!

Family owned charming little hotel. Very clean and well maintained. A few steps away from the village, a lot of great beaches and hikes within 30 minutes. Hosts are amazing and very friendly. Great pool. We definitely loved our stay at this hotel. If you want a vacation away from the crowds and the big city, this nice little town is the place, and Helios Studios has it all.

Very small kitchenette. Useful for breakfast, but eating out is easier for all other meals.

We were warmly met by the “big boss” Depina, a lovely lady. Our room was spacious, very clean with homemade cake and chilled Raki waiting for us on the table 😊 the swimming pool is crisp and well maintained, the location is a five minute walk to the beach/ restaurants/ shops. Slightly up a hill but it gives the most amazing sunsets from the balcony 🌞

Excellent studio with well-equipped kitchenette, good beds and shower, and nice swimming pool. Very friendly owners ! The location is somehow isolated (but this also makes it quiet), but is well sign-posted and therefore easy to find. It is only 200m from the beach although the walk is a bit dull.

Fabulous apartment. Lovely views. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Family that run it are great. Welcomed with coffee and cake. Brought us grapes and apples from their garden and waved us off having given us a bottle of their own olive oil. Pool is cold but beautifully maintained.

Being on a hill in crete it was very windy. The paths down to the town were steep and uneven and it was a long way to the beachfront eateries. Unfortunately we have mobility issues and there was not always a taxi available for the return journey.

Fabulous place just a short walk from the town. Really peaceful. Lovely welcome with cake and rake in the room. Pool was clean and has a lovely view. Rooms have blackout shutters and stayed cool. Balcony was great for watching the sunset.

The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, they truly couldn't do enough to make sure we had the best stay. We couldn't believe the gorgeous pool and the fact it is only shared between around 7 apartments meant it was always really quiet and some days it was completely ours. The location is great, there is a bit of a hill to walk up and down to get into town but it was honestly worth it. Amazing restaurants and cute shops really close, and super close to the beach. We fell in love with the whole town.

I can't think of anything I would've changed.
