The location right on the beach is amazing. We paid for a room with a sea view which in my opinion was well worth it, it was great sitting on the balcony facing the sea for a drink and snack. Rooms are very confortable with a well working AC. I particularly loved the bed and pillows that were super comfy plus beds are very wide giving you plenty of space. Food at the restaurant was quite good, all vegetarian. The pool is super enjoyable and not directly in the sun. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, they got us breakfast ready early as we had to leave before breakfast time and let us choose some of the music in the bar. Highly recommend

Not really much but it's impossible to take a shower without flooding the bathroom, which is not great design. But it's it's very minimal thing plus since it's hot outside it dries quickly

for all those looking for a real genuine Kenyan place, respecting environment, offering great comfort, and stunning location on the beach, Ziwa is the best choice on Nyali coast !! of course, some few details are different from international "comfort standards" ... and that's not what I personally does expect from a hotel in these conditions breakfast is also great! and the vegetarian restaurant

nothing "essential"

Good value for money! It’s not luxury but cosy in beautiful African style. The rooms with “sea view “ really have a fantastic view and large nice balcony’s. Rooms are decent size and bed very comfortable. The location is also really good by a nice stretch of beach and close to some good restaurants. The Mall and Centre are just 5 minutes down the road with a Tuktuk. Also the wifi was surprisingly good.

Some of the staff (not all!) had an unfriendly attitude. Sometimes not greeting you and sometimes ignoring you. And very slow to give service. Also, the restaurant is vegetarian only. I respect that but still would ha preferred more options.

The place is small but on a Swahili theme. Heavy handmade furniture. African carving, flooring in stone.Rooms with aircon,good shower , sink was a massive shell. Very authentic. The property is right on the beach. Some rooms have ocean view. Rooms at the back are quieter but with views of trees. There is a large shared balcony between two rooms. Sink,dining table ,fridge. Easy for self catering. Small pool which is great when kid free. The breakfast was adequate. Juice tea or coffee,fruits ,eggs in various forms.toast, jam, mandazi chips,local stuff. For the price this was good value. If you are looking for something a bit different then this is the place. certainly not bland. Very authentic Kenyan. Nick the receptionist was very helpful. Staff are polite and responsive. A great little break. Will defo be back.

Staff polite and friendly but spoken English not good. Fair enough. We're not in England!

We spent 4 nights at Ziwa Beach Resort and had a very good experience. Main reason to choose this accommodation was the proximity to the diving center and it proved a very good choice, We loved the feeling of the place, the room was comfortable and clean, good internet, nice and helpful staff. Lovely views from the restaurant terrasse.

the staff were very nice most helpful with a smile the changed my room because of a problem with WiFi. also my luggage never arrived on the flight but the manager was keeping me informed about where it was it didn't arrive in mombasa six days after I arrived but that had nothing to do with the hotel

the shower could be a bit more pressure and a little hotter

This resort is in African style, very nicely done in every detail. It feels like to be in a super luxory home in an African village protected by friendly Massai warrior guards, so you get African holiday vibes while at the same time enjoying high class western style luxory. The staff is friendly, very helpful and not intrusive.

Beach front room, amazing. You can see sunrise from your balcony. The style is quite rustic, the room furniture is wooden and a little old. It has charme. They have AC. Staff was very nice and helpful. The pool is amazing. The hotel is on the beach, from restaurant you can go jump in the sea.

Shower is getting all bathroom wet, maybe it should be adjusted somehow. In the night there were some "scratching" noise coming from furniture (like termites ?!?). Mattress not very comfortable. Not amazed by breakfast, the international choice was little, just some bread and jam. They make omelette but not crepes. Staff didn't help with luggage.

anything was perfect, the breakfast was typical for the area and very good, to the rooms I can only say Perfect, the staff was very nice. I like the location, the pool they have with the waterfall. It is direct at the beach. Anything is great.

I can't say anything bad about Ziwa. Everything was very good.

Room emplacement, the view, the friendly staff, how clean the room was.

No proper soap and shampoo available in bathroom / shower. The existing soap dispenser was filled with something closer to hand sanitary disinfectant and smelling bad. The shower's water temperature was only tempered (no hot water). OK for refreshing but it would be nicer to have the choice ;)
